Excellent seat! long lasting – Excellent seat, we love it and so does our toddler. And i feel good knowing that this seat has the highest safety rating to protect our daughter. Money well spent!! We bought this for our toddler as she was outgrowing the weight limit on her convertible carseat & we had a newborn that we wanted to put in the convertible seat rear facing as well.… Read more

She is about 15kg now and almost 3yrs old so we are using the 5-point harness in the maxi-rider still.

If this seat still has the highest safety rating I will be buying another for our 2nd daughter once she has outgrown her safe n sound convertible carseat!!

- still going strong in 2014! our almost 6yr old is still in this seat! no issues what so ever, very comfortable. once they reach 18kg they use the normal seatbelt. I always find safe n sound seats to be higher backed (So last longer and aren't outgrown) and the easiest of all brands to adjust the harnesses on. Our child uses the normal seatbelt with it and the ASC which takes about 1 second to clip in place as extra safety each time great qualityone of the highest safety ratings for a carseat in its classexcellent adjustability height-wise for growing toddlerseasy to use seatvery comfortable for our toddlerlove the fact it has additional safety features such as the deep side wings and active head restraint as well. looks great as wellI like that it should last our daughter till she is 7yrs old now (due to the new carseat laws in SA etc) pricier than other seats but think our was $340 Nevada colour (black) but i always rather spend more money on the best carseats so our children are the safest as they can possibly be. value for money on this seat is amazing!

Really happy with it – I got my son back in 2008 when he was 10months old but didnt start using it til after he was 12months a he is small for his age he's now been using it for 5yrs and stil at the age of 6 using the unbuilt harness hopefully soon he won't be using the inbuilt harness. It's a very comfy car seat my son tells me he likes it alot I got him the one in the… Read more

Nero colour just for something different and I'm happy with the choice I made I paid $280 for it as I got it on sale it's stil going very strong fabric stil in perfect condition was worth every cent my father also has on in the purple in his car for my son aswel for when he visits his poppy as my son says there his specially seats and no one else is allowed in them!! He's hates sharing his 2 . I love the arm rest and cup holders there easy for my son to use and I like that everything can be stored in the seat it's self when no longer in use. Very happy with the choice I made as a first time mother I had no idea on carseats and at the time I got it it was rated the safest carseats in Australia The arm rest and cupholders r easy for my son to use and it's defiantly reliable

Great, Comfy, Easy to use, Value as it is both a baby carseat and a booster seat!! – I have 2 SnS Maxi Rider AHRs. The first I used from 15 months until 4.5 years and still going!!! It is a great car seat for a young toddler through to a pre-schooler and beyond. I would recommend this carseat as you can use it through to 7 years - the legal age to stay in a booster seat! I purchased the AHR model as it provides extra head… Read more ·  2

support - which comes in handy when the fall asleep in the car and the AHR headrest can be extended above the seat back to increase longevity of use for taller children (I'm a 5'10 Mum with tall kids)

When my eldest reached 18kg I purchased the SnS Protecta Harness so he can keep using his Maxi Rider as a booster seat! It is a bit of a pain to install the Protecta harness - but worth it! With the harness they are held firm against the seat. But if you use the seatbelt alone (with anti-submarine clip) they can reach forwards just like adults do!

I would recommend this as a great purchase when baby #2 is on the way for your eldest, or if you hired a capsule for the first 6-9 months, then buy this seat and it will last!! It is a great car seat for a young toddler through to a pre-schooler and beyond to 7 yrs Need to remove seat from teh car to adjust straps height and headrest height - but doesn't happen often!

Best convertible car seat! – We bought this for our 20 months old Son and we are loving it. It has all we want in a convertible car seat. It is adjustable, has recliner, spacious and at the same time not too big for a sedan. More over our son is very comfortable and happy in it while sitting and sleeping, that's all we want. Show details ·  1

perfect – this car seat is amazing. easy to get in and out of your car. great for young children, 3 months on. the only thing it cannot do is accommodate a young child as they have to be facing the opposite direction but overcome this by buying and Exton cable. but over all I give it 10/10

Nice large baby seat – This is a very good, large baby seat that will see your child through until they reach a booster. Drink bottle holders on both sides. Nice soft padded head rest. Adjustable arm rests. High weight limit and tall belt notches mean you will get good use out of this seat.

It works.! – We are satisfied. We have found a product that works and in long term wi provide us with value for money. Our daughter who is about 16 kg sits in her seat in comfort. She loves it. It's was a bonus the guy who installed it mentioned there was speakers in the headrest. We also have the meridian seat and was happy so we went for the same range.… Read more

Must say my wife and I have larger 4wds and rear space wasn't such a issue. I also noticed that there is other seats slimmer sears on the market that other customers seem happy with . Personal preference dose play a role. As I don't normally review or comments I feel other readers should have a unbiased view. Then credit can be given where is due. Yes we did negotiate a price with Jeanette and Steve at baby Kingdom. I also just realised when we returned some goods back we were a $7000 customer. You don't realise how much money you spend when you Start having children. Seems comfy, easy to fit and use.

Good – The seat is quite comfortable with nice padding. The audio cable is not used for any external devices but is tucked away in the upper side pocket. The middle crotch hardness is a little to the back and would prefer it to be at least 5cm forward. I would prefer to recline this further back, just a little so our two years old head is not falling… Read more

forward (hence the crotch harness need to be closer outward) Comparing to other seats i would give this a above average score. padding and it being comfortable. The other convertible seats are not suitable for up right position. You can see that having a purpose built seat is better than the 2 in 1. nothing really

Quality car seat! – This is a top of the line car seat. It just looks and feels really good. And I know that is important but all the more important is if it is a safe product and there is no prob there. It of course passes all safety tests but it just feels more secure too.

Maxi Rider is worth every cent! – We have two children and have used the Safe-n-Sound Maxi Rider for both of them in each of our cars. The safety reviews were very convincing and the seat itself is easy to install and remove. Our kids are comfortable on long trips - we can trave for stints up to 6 hours at a time - no complaints whatsoever. Easy to wipe clean, good colour choices, simple to install and remove from the vehicle - good safety reviews.

Safe-n-Sound Maxi Rider – We bought this seat for our 11 month old after she had hip surgery last December and was in a Spica cast for 6 weeks then Rhino Brace for 8 months (We added a crotch strap extender hired from hospital). Perfect for any other parents in same position as arms fold up to house the wide legs. Now brace free we still love it. You can lift up arm rests. Drink holders handy too.

Safe and sound maxi Carseats – Excellent Carseats not only do they look smart in the car they also are a strong piece of equipment and externally safe for kids, unfortunately mine got a slight crack due to a recent accident but hey the main thing is my baby is safe and it saved her life so I deffinatly rate these so high. The safety side of it Nothing, be cool to have some more color shades and designs  Show reply

Extremely happy! – This car seat is everything I wanted/expected from a car seat and more. It has a cup holder, arm rests (which move up and down), it has a cover that goes under the seat to prevent wear and tear on my cars upholstery. It also looks plush and comfy for my 14 month old. We absolutely love it and would highly recommend. It is also available in a few… Read more

colours which helps I chose the grey/blue one which goes well with my car and is suitable for boys/girls. It cost me $349 on special at babyco, however considering my daughter will be in till 6-8 years I can justify the amount spent. Over 8 years it costs less than $50 a year. I almost purchased a different brand at target for $200-250 but then comparing the 2 I can really see the difference. Quality, comfort, cup holder, arm rests

The brand says it all – Kids and Grand Kids are priceless so it's not rocket science to want the best for your kids, why settle for second best? Apart from that it's against the law to carry a baby passenger in a car without one so there must be a very good reason for that, safety. If the law won't compromise with a child's safety why should I. The brand has been around a long time so that speaks for its self

Good seat for second car, or Grandparents – My Mother in Law has one of these in her car for our daughter to go in. It is a good seat for a second car, or for Grandparents. It is comfortable, and my daughter seems to like it. It's easy to use, the only thing that bothers me is that it is not as safe as some of the newer models. Reliable, Comfortable Not as safe as other seats for the same price

I love this seat!! – This seat is excellent. I have one for my son and he thinks it's pretty special having his own arm rests and cup holders! It has great quality fabric, padding and the harness is easy to adjust. It also does from 6 months to 8 years which is a huge bonus not having to spend a fortune buying new seats! I feel very safe having my son in there, it looks so big and secure! A bit expensive (but well worth the money)

Great seat! – I have two of these for my children. They are a fantastic seat and "grow" with your child. Awesome seat! – Love this seat, i think it has most things covered from comfort & safety to extras such as cup holders & arm rests! Great Seat – This seat was fantastic, my son absolutely loved the cupholders, having two one was for his drink the other for his toy!! He was in the seat from 10kg to 18kg (I think you can use from 8kg) then as a booster seat with the H harness (16kg to 26kg). love this carseat – I love this carseat it has been so good for my 2 daughters and occassionly my nephew when he comes over. it is very roomy for my girls has cup holders and moveable arm rests it can be used from 8kg to 18kg(about 6 months unless your child doesnt hit the 8 kg mark then) as a carseat then from 16 kg to 26 kg as a booster which i might add my 4 year… Read more

has not used yet as she is still under the 18kg limit there is heaps of room at the top of the seat for my girl to still grow i like how you can have it reclined for younger or sleepy children cup holders, very roomy for the kids, can be used from 8 kg, grows with your child up to about 7 or 26 kg can be dificult putting the seat belt through the back of the seat as it is quite narrow, the seats are wide so may have trouble installing more than two in your car

The best! – I am so happy with this purchse and would recommend it to everyone!! I travel up to 400km a week and I feel so confident my son is safe no matter what. The price was on the top end but totally worth it when you think of the saftey aspects. I have a friend who fits car seats through a saftey company and he reccomended it to me. I feel that my son is safe and secure in this seat. I love the fact that it can convert into a seat for an older child. The cup holders are a hit with both me and my son! I have no issues with it yet after over 12months +

great product – I love my maxirider fits easily into car very comfortable for kids and at a great height for them to see out windows it has a very good weight range and lasts. The cup holders are great and on both sides so that's very helpful and the arms rests can be lifted if you need to I believe its the best seat ever for two years plus Cup holders and weight range

Excellent product – We replaced another brand of car seat with this after an accident an cannot fault it. She has been in it since about 14 months, although she is fairly tall. good for peace of mind. It was expensive, but can you put a price on safety? The ISOFIX seat fixtures would be the only thing I think it's missing really, and the standards on these have only just been passed here, so it may happen in the future. We also have the ipod connectable version but haven't used this feature yet. Great design, easy to install, high safety rating Expensive

My daughter loves it! – Whenever it is our free time, my family and I would always go to the beach or resort and enjoy the surroundings and the water. But before anything else, I always make sure that my daughter is safe while we are traveling so I bought this car seat and she loves it! It is so comfortable and the fabric is soft. She even brings it at home and uses it as her chair. She really likes it! good feature and material

Great quality seat – We have two of these. Worth the $. Very comfortable with excellent safety. The best thing is that it lasts for such a good length of time and has such a broad weight range - your child isn't going to grow out of it in a big hurry, so the investment is worth it. Good quality. Lasts a long time.

Lovely seat! – We had safe-n-sound seats with our children so chose same brand for grandchild. Beautifully made item with extra soft, luxurious fabric. Grandson loves it and sets the angle of the little armrests himself at 15 months. Quality brand, beautifully made. Grandson's fancy little cups don't fit in the built-in cupholders, otherwise no problems.

Best buy – This would have to be one of the best purchases I have made for both my kids. With my daughter being tall and slim for her age, the 5 point harness was a must for me. I love the fact that she can sit in it till she is 7 years old. 5 point harness, drink holders, great warranty on it.

Very good – Very happy with this carseat. Bought it 12 months ago and find very little wrong with it. We have had a few car seats and boosters, but this one is one of the best. Comfortable for bub. Has a recline feature Bub is obsessed with pulling the padding off the arm rests. The arms rests aren't removable

Fantastic and worth every cent – I wanted a car seat that could be used until my toddler was 7 years old, due to the new laws. all the boxes. The seat is faultless and we love it. It even came with little flip out cup holders which have been a handy place to keep a spare dummy or to hold a water bottle. The seat reclined back and is bolt fitted into the back seat securely and safely. I chose this position as my daughter still falls asleep in the car and her head naturally falls into the padded headrest at the sides. The seat can easily be changed to an upright position in 2 seconds. My daughter loves her seat and we love it too. It is not a wide seat so it still allows for room in the back for other children and passengers. Suitable up to 7yrs, comfortable, built in harness, bolt fitted Can be pricey but worth every cent for the safety & comfort of our most precious cargo
