longer but overall it has been very handy to have especially when bubs is asleep. My favourite thing about this capsule is being able to take our baby from the car to the pram or house and back again without disturbing her. Makes it so much easier in wet weather. The hood is great and does a good job of protecting from the sun. Love that the capsule rocks when it is out of the pram and car. Great way to soothe baby to sleep. I have used this a few times when out visiting to rock baby to sleep. The head cushion is just the right size for a newborn to stop their head from moving and rolling in the car. Love the colour (we have kingfisher) and the way the whole strider system works together. As much as I love this capsule there are a few small things I discovered I don't really like. I find the straps don't loosen very much when putting baby in and out. Having a winter bub wearing warm bulky clothing made it difficult to strap her in quickly and easily, and her arms are difficult to get under the straps because they don't loosen enough. I don't think it will last as long as I expected as I moved the straps to the middle when bub was 6 weeks then to the top when she was 12 weeks. I didn’t expect I would need to purchase another car seat before my baby was at least 6-8 months. So makes for an expensive purchase for just a few months use. I found the padding underneath the head and body area to be inadequate for my baby. She cries going over bumps so I have added some extra padding under her. The capsule seems to sit too upright in the car and the bar does not properly sit on the back of the seat even when it was fitted by a qualified fitter who said it was ok. We have a 4 wheel drive and I was surprised to find that with the capsule installed the front passenger seat needs to be far forward. I would recommend testing one in your car if you are thinking of purchasing one. The buckle cover has slipped off so many times when I have taken bub out of the capsule that I have removed it completely. The boot cover can't be used while in the car so it has rarely been used. It is quicker and easier to just put a blanket over bub. I have also found that the capsule with baby in can get quite heavy after a while so found it handy to be able to install it in the pram base rather than carry around. The carry handle also requires 2 hands to adjust which makes it difficult if you are carrying baby and forgotten to put the handle down.

Good – We had a convertible car seat for our daughter, and she woke up every time we got her in and out of the car. So we bought this for baby number two, and it was a lifesaver! very hot and sweaty in it. Apart from that and the short straps I love it and would definitely buy one again. Resale value is great on Ebay if you keep it in good condition. Once bub is strapped in it is really easy to move them from car to stroller etc. It even doubles as a rocker on the floor. Sometimes if bub was a bit unsettled (when newborn) I wrapped him and he slept in the carrier on the floor at home. We used this with the Strider Plus Stroller and it made shopping much less stressful, allowing bub to sleep. Quite narrow, baby gets very hot and sweaty. Straps are too short so it is hard to get bub strapped in without disturbing them.

Excellent – One of my top 5 could not live without buys. Very handy to just slip into pram base and back into car. Looks great! Decreased handing of small newborns is always a bonus. Canopy provides good shade. The harness is easy to tighten and loosen. More secure for newborns especially small ones to sit in while being pushed around as opposed to the large pram seat. Great unisex aqua colour option. Wide wheel base makes it one of a few prams that meet the Australian safety standards. Makes a convenient safe place for baby to sleep when visiting friends homes. Can be heavy and a little awkward to carry long distances. Can only be used until 6 months or when the baby reaches the weight/height restriction. Wont fit into really small cars or 2 door cars (Mitsubishi Mirage). Wide wheel base can be a little wide for some shops. A little exspensive but worth it.

school pick up or drop off or doing quick jobs. It's easy to clean or wash if baby makes a mess, Its with its weight in gold, I'm really glad we purchased ours, couldn't have done without it or the double strider pram

Excellent, glad i purchased it! – Loved it!! We had 2, 1 for each car. Great to get in and out of car. Baby never complained and seemed to be comfortable. fortunately enough got 7 months out of mine due to baby being smaller than average and i probably could of got up to 8 months but decided to upgrade while i could afford too.

Good Investment – This capsule is good as you can move bub in and out of the car without waking. In the early weeks/month, we were able just to carry baby around in the capsule which was great when out and about as baby would sleep anywhere. However, we live in a hot climate and baby does get hot very quickly due to the fabric and I had to get a cotton liner for the capsule. Our baby did grow out of this capsule by 4 months as she became to long, and this is when I really missed it! It is expensive, but if you are planning to use for more than one child then I think it's a good investment.

Wish I had another brand as its too hot for my baby – Disappointed with this. Does what it's supposed to but bubs screams bc it's too hot. He is sweaty every time I take him out. It's also very heavy. Although it has the convenience of being a rocker and being able to go straight to pram, this is useless as baby needs to be removed due to heat.

great idea but could do with a few improvements – We bought this for our second child (along with the strider plus 3 pram) she has just grown out of it (almost six months). Our daughter got very hot in this carrier, so we didn't like going on long trips with her in it. She got to heavy for it as it started sliding on the car seat! It was great for transition from car to house, but a little heavy.

okay capsule – Does the job. Not good for summer. Every time I grab my baby out poor thing is sweating even though the car is cool. The fabric on it makes baby hot.. baby outgrows it pretty quick. Purchased it to latch onto pram. Don't find it a necessity now I have experienced it. Was advised not to leave bub in longer than two hours.. so it could do with an upgrade

fantastic – The capsule is lighter than the other brands. It is easy to unclip from the car and to the pram then back to the car. Easy to clean. Great because your baby can stay asleep without disturbing them. Was compatible with the pram I bought and also to my mums pram.  Show reply

Baby is very comfortable – This is easy to carry as we have twins so getting them in and out of the car is a breeze they fit securely in our pram and r very comfortable easy to install in car and on our pram it’s as easy as u clp out of car and clip on to our pram bottom one clips on first the top one and away we go

It's great! – Love this capsule I find it very soft and son is comfortable in it only downside is that it gets too hot too fast and every time I get my son out his covered in sweat must be the suede fabric. Click noise when putting back in car is very loud. Baby hates it – My 5 week old screams every time we put him in it. He's a very calm baby otherwise, but the capsule really stresses him. dislike makes the capsule system useless- I get him out and put him in the stroller to go anywhere. Appears I'll be replacing the capsule sooner rather than later. I also would have bought a lighter weight pram if I knew the capsule system wouldn't work for me. The concept is great. Not comfortable for baby

It was ok but too hot for my baby – The capsule itself was very convenient especially having a very tiny baby, it was convenient that I never had to wake my baby up and she loved it she was born in sept but when summer hit she hated being in it and she would sweat so much that by 3 months old I changed to her other car seat.

Extremely handy – I do love our carrier as it makes travelling extremely easy and I never have to wake my bub to get him in and out of the car. The only issue is he is currently 12 weeks old and already hangs way over the edge and I'm thinking he will grow out of it well before 6 months as he's straps are maxed out already. it's a good system. I'd say if you had a bub who was on the smaller side it would be perfect, my bub is sligthly above average. I'd hate to have a super sized bub, it wouldn't last at all. Easy to move in and out of the car If you have a bigger bub it might not last long

Bit disappointing – My baby is if average size and had outgrown thus seat by 4 1/2 months, pretty pointless purchasing this in our case. However, the capsule is handy, light to carry and is easy to put in and out of the car. If the straps were longer I would have been able to adjust the seat and get a lot more use out of it Convenient Straps were short and baby outgrew very quickly.

Must have for new mums! – I love my Steelcraft Strider Baby Capsule and am devastated my baby is about to grow out of it, it makes life so much easier with a newborn baby! If baby falls asleep in the car you just leave them in it and transfer it into your pram to go shopping or bring them inside if you're home. I also love that the bottom is curved so you can use it as a rocker if you're out and about. Easy to get in and out of the car. Baby can only stay in it up to 9kg.

feet are starting to stick out the end, but she is still fitting in the seat and harness comfortably. It is very heavy to carry for an extended time because you are holding it away from your body. Ease of use Hard to carry

Baby Necessity – the strider baby capsule is one thing i will never regret buying! it makes travelling with bubs easy on every one... bubs keeps sleeping and its not a lot of work for the parents when transferring baby from the car to pram. it was just a shame that my baby grew out of it so quickly. easy and convenient my baby grew out of it before weight recommendations

how easy it was to adjust the harness and headrest and lovely soft cushioning. love that is fit into a pram with fuss some other ones these soo many step to get the capsule on the pram but not with this and the strider plus. didn't last long 6mts month goes very fast but gets a bit heavy with 9kg bubba and the weight of the capsule.also the tether strap wasn't too hard to fit to the capsule bit not the base everytime going in and out of the car but i wasn't aware of this when i got it.

How to create a dream baby!! – Having not used a capsule for my first two children, now with school runs and kindy drop offs required, I decided that a capsule would be beneficial to use with the third child. months (even with her being a large baby) but the convenience of being able to transfer a sleeping baby in and out of the car, as well as a transportable seat for social outings was more than money could buy. If you can afford to buy a seat which will only last 6 months then I highly recommend it. Reliable, comfortable, easy to use. Would be too hot in a warm climate.

hard to put into the car in the rain as it was a rush so bub didnt get wet, could be a little jerky getting the seat out and in to the car which sometimes woke up bub

Can slot very easily into the Strider Plus Pram. - A little heavy when removing from the car. I need to get on my knees in the back seat to lift the capsule out (with baby in capsule).

- When going around corners it moves across the seat more than other capsules Ive seen.

- Bub is 4 months and is finding it too small. Need to upgrade.

anyway! i agree with the positive comments everyone has made, so will not repeat them again. i find that the capsule seems to sit too upright in our car (VY Commodore) and babies head tends to fall forward sometimes. this is a bit worrying, and i often find myself sitting in the back with him when my husband is driving so i can hold his head if i need to.
