Very useful little BBQ for everyday cooking – have a bigger smoker type BBQ but it is quite cumbersome to use if you just want to cook for family and quickly. the go anywhere fills this gap perfectly and is very good quality and cooks amazingly. to the one guy complaining about the handle screws. you need to tighten them hard. it feels like it's too tight but keep turning until the handles stop wobbling. this is designed this way and will make the handles last longer. Fabulous Travel Companion – I suggest choosing your charcoal is a priority. For most cooking small sized briquettes will burn both hot & long enough. A charcoal chimney is close to a neccessity. Once going everything bar the handles are very hot so a pair of pliers / multigrips or heat-proof mittens are needed to adjust venting. An infrared Thermometer will enable you to… Read more · 2
monitor temperatures. The lid can be removed for Hibachi style cooking or regular grill style cooking. Mastering the venting - cooking temps will allow you to cook sooo many things from whole (small) chooks, drumsticks, vegatbles, fish, meat (burgers steaks), skewers and suitably shaped pizza. Just love it. To repeat - choose your charcoal wisely. If you wanna' grill then lump charcoal may be better suited. Some "very" impressive after-market accessories exist and these are worthy of your interest. I suggest lots of outdoor cooking at home to hone your skills. This will give you the confidence to take this outdoors where it belongs.
Screws for handles don’t fit – I have just opened my new Weber go anywhere and the screws provided for the handles will not go into the threaded part of the handle. They appear to be too large. I do not understand how this can happen. I will now have to hunt around for alternative screws to fit. Disappointing start Weber. Show details
Can’t get this to stay alight (following instructions) – We could not get the Weber to heat up and stay alight so we could cook (per instructions) We followed instructions for more than 5 times and each time the charcoals went out (even with more firelighters) - so we could not cook our food at all! Also, agree with a previous reviewer that handles are flimsy Note - most reviews listed here are not in rrlation go the Weber Go-Anywhere Show details

Handles don't fit properly – Bought this weber go anywhere grill yesterday from bcf & all 3 plastic handle covers do not fit over the metal handles properly. The plastic handles sit perfectly flush when not attached to grill but once you separate the 2 pieces & try to attach to grill there is a gap of 2-3mm & the screw provided is too short to hold the handle together. … Read more
Contacted Bcf & this seems to be common with this grill & I need to buy longer screws or return the item to weber & wait for weeks to get a refund or replacement as they won't allow you to return to store for refund. Not satisfactory! Why can weber not make a handle that fits or screws that are long enough. So far very disappointed with this product.
Is this the perfect portable charcoal BBQ? Probably – This review is long overdue. I absolutely love this BBQ and you will too! Thankful upgrade from the useless Smokey Joe kettle which had pointless side-vents above the coals grate (insert facepalm). Not to be confused with the Smokey Joe with the bottom-vent, that one is a great little BBQ! Purhased this amazing little beast cheap, on Catch… Read more · 1
($110) at the beginning of Covid and had plenty of time to aquaint myself with it since. I have a 57cm Master-Touch and a Weber Q and this little one is still my favourite. It has never let me down and better yet, has blown the minds of many of my friends with it's versatility, especially when they see it's compact size. I even hosted a BBQ in a park with 20 friends; a lot of the meat and veges being cooked off of this. Tiny but powerful!
This also makes for a great table BBQ when you want to have a backyard Korean BBQ! Then doubles as a small fire pit during colder nights once all the cooking is done. Fantastic.
I'm a huge fan of indirect/direct cooking, particularly with thick cut tomahawk steaks (full rib cuts). It's big enough to squeeze two side by side, with half-side charcoal (bone side) and the other half, empty (meat side). Simply heat the meat until the inner temp is rare (48') then flip the cuts over for a fiery charcoal crust to finish the meat up to medium-rare temp. Perfect everytime!
Temperature control is exceptional! With the side-vents appropriately positioned under the charcoal grate and two vents in the lid, you can vary the temp as much as you need, providing you with a multitude of cooking options. Longest closed-lid cook I did on this was just over 2 hours and the charcoal still had plenty of time in them.
Portability-wise, this is the gift that keeps giving, with legs that lock over the lid during transport, you can take this anwhere! Literally GO ANYWHERE! I take it to friends houses (when they don't have access to charcoal cooking), beaches, parks, and on roadtrips. It is absolutely fantastic.
Maintenance - It has Weber's build quality so cleaning is easy, as long as you look after it! I use the plastic scraper that came with an old BabyQ I had while ago to scrap out the fire box, followed by a wipe down using BBQ wipes, and she's as good as new. A grill brush is also a no-brainer (for the grill, not the fire box). A quick scrap once the grill's hot will save heartache later.
Cost, versus value, versus versatility, this BBQ is a 20 out of 10. It will exceed all expectations! So, if you're looking for a little portable BBQ, stop your search! You found it.
Love it! – Bought this mainly because the Weber Q2200 doesn't do low temp cooking.. it's awesome to cook ribs etc. Can't fault it! Easy clean, and hasn't caught fire! The handles had the wrong screws ( added some little washers) , but it is Chinese. So no biggie. Very good product! Show details · 1
25 years old and still going strong – I've had my Go Anywhere for almost 20 years now and it's still as good as the day I got it. Great for small roasts, steaks, smoking fish, chicken wings, even small pizzas. Great in all weather however if it's windy you need to shelter it to retain the heat. Nothing better than cooking over charcoal. I love this thing almost as much as my 1985 Weber Kettle BBQ. Typical well built Weber quality. Show details · 1
Great Bbq – Portable and light weight great for grilling or roasting over coals , perfect steaks , grilled prawns i have even cooked a small leg of lamb in this little beauty , you will not be dissapointed Show details
A great cooker but beware and be gentle – A word of warning. Just be careful when trying to place the lid on its bracket. The second time I used it, I must of pushed the lid too hard trying to feel for the bracket and then the whole bbq fell off the table onto my deck hot coals and all. I may have to practice this manoeuvre but it is a bit unsteady on its bracket legs. Show details

Brilliant little BBQ – Received this as a Christmas present and have used it a couple times camping. It takes a little while to get hot but once its going it brilliant for cooking food and keeping warm. We cooked everything on this weber and had no problems at all. It's really good at retaining heat and every morning the coals would still be hot making breakfast nice… Read more
and easy. Due to the simple design of the weber it is really easy to clean and its compact design is really handy if you don't have much space when camping.
Excellent coal fired BBQ - love it – Really good BBQ. The handles make it very easy to carry. The rectangular shape makes it large enough to feed 6 people comfortably. Unlike the kettle version, it is packable to include all the equipment (i.e. tongs, knife, coal) within it and folds together in one easy pack. The design also makes it easy to light as the coals receive sufficient oxygen. This is my favourite coal style portable bbq that I have ever owned. Show details
fantastic little bbq – we have had ours for close to 20 years it is the first model with wood handles but the rest of the bbq is the same and we sill love it we have cooked snags to roast lamb and the flavour was to die for. if i ever needed to replace it i would look no further than weber Max Show details
Weber lives up to the reputation – Well designed and tough. Easy to clean and able to cook 5kg off meat in one go. Good replacement to my old charcoal BBQ which has fallen apart. I suggest to clean it fill with coal and leave in the boot off your car. You will be able to cook in 30 minutes. Show details
One of the family – I was recently looking to replace a little hibachi grill after an interstate move meant I had to leave the old one behind. Unable to find one anywhere I decided to try the weber go anywhere and am very pleased with it so far. I've been able to do some amazing BBQ's on it for up to 4-5 people -amazing smokey steaks and snags and I always chuck… Read more
on a little roast chicken or beef shoulder while I'm at it because the beads stay hot for a good couple of hours so then I have char-grilled meaty sandwiches for the next few days... Awesome! It's portable, easy enough to clean and most importantly economical on the heat beads which are a little pricey.
Flavour is great on it, only complaint would be the lid could be a little taller as even a small whole chicken only just fits for roasting however a split chicken is quite easily done... that's the trade off for being so portable no real drama. Overall very very happy, over the moon in fact the go-anywhere is an invaluable addition to the household would definitely recommend.
The perfect carry on accessory for any picnic – Such a portable BBQ where you can put the beads and everything is contained. Food is amazing with coal cooking as usual. Found that you can't overload with beads or it gets way to hot and good stats to burn easily. But if you control the amount of beads, it's a perfect BBQ Show details
Fantastic BBQ – This is an amazing BBQ grill which is super portable, lightweight and easy to use and clean. You can even use it as a smoking box if you are able to keep the wood chips/coal on one side of the box. Great for road trips or a just a day at the park. Highly recommended! Show details
The best BBQ ever for small things – I've had MANY BBQs over the years. This little baby is the one I love the best. Very simple to assemble, extremely portable, excellent flavor, quick and easy to light and easy to keep clean. It's the perfect adjunct to my big Primo for big things. I am in love with this BBQ! Great for satays! – Great product - easy to set up and use (I suggest getting one of the chimney starters). I have cooked steaks and chicken satay - get a true smokey flavor and does not take long to get hot. It is great to try out different smoke flavors with rosemary, olive wood etc. My only tip is to make sure that if you place the Weber Go-Anywhere on a wooden… Read more · 1
table to put it on a try, or at least something to shield the table from the heat - because it gets hot. Best of all it packs up very neatly and I store it under our Weber gas bbq. Overall it is a great product and good value.

Highly recommend! – Great little BBQ. Very intuitively designed. The bbq itself is very compact and suitable for trips or family outings. The plate is very spacious and fits a decent amount of food. Good for small BBQs at home as well. Its easy to clean. No complaints or regrets on the purchase. Show details · 1
Brilliant! – I have no hesitation in recommending this little Weber - it's simply brilliant. I've had and used mine for well over 15 years and it's still like new - easy to use, easy to clean and flavour some, smokey results every time! I absolutely love it, and really can't fault it. A lasting work horse – I've had this portable BBQ for more than 5 years. One of the best "camping" BBQ I've used and it lasted this long without any issues. Portable, light and durable. Great for all your standard meats such lamb chops, steaks..etc but also awesome for skewers due to it's rectangular size. If anyone is out there looking for a camping BBQ this is the one. Show reply
Excellent – It's fabulous, and it's small enough to store in an apartment cupboard when not in use, with the coals and firelighters in side it. Easy to clean in the laundry tub. No real cons, and ours is just out in pride of place on our new house verandah...looking to upgrade to a family Q Weber. The enamelling and the workmanship is second to none, and… Read more · 1
after a couple of seasons under the house, it scrubbed up beautifully, ready for action. We have had this one for two or three years now, and it's really great. We used it at the park, opposite our apartment over summers to cook chicken breast fillets, snags and pork chops. Always a great taste, and easyish to use. It will easily cook for 2-4 adults, but not much more than that. In the wind, it was a bit fiddly for hubby to get right, and he's an enthusiast. It takes a while to get it lit with the fire starters, and we needed to learn how full to make it with the bbq coals - but it was worth it. The lid rocks back to help with the wind, but really, this is a great little bbq. So little can go wrong with it - it's all just technique.
