Far from a satisfactory replacement for our old Bosch hot water service – We have unfortunately shared too many of the negative experiences detailed in the reviews by others of this product and am not impressed with the standard reply by Bosch. It is also highly annoying that we don't seem to be able to contact Bosch directly by email. There was no reply to our email on the Bosch site contact form. Put simply, having called a plumber to have our previous hot-water service repaired (also a Bosch which worked with a pilot light and gave excellent service for a long time) and told that it would be cheaper to replace it with a new one, we find ourselves in the situation where we have a greatly inferior product. When we agreed to have a new Bosch installed it was with the clear expectation that it perform exactly as the old one did. This has not been the case and we are not prepared to put up with the inconvenience of an unsatisfactory hot water service replacing one which was very good. We have not got what we paid for and won't be happy until this temperamental piece of equipment is replaced by one which meets our expectations.

Dear Bosch Hot Water & Heating Team, My apologies for not replying to your email earlier. I have to tell you that after continuing to complain to Jims Plumbing, the company that supplied and fitted our Hydro Power Heater, charging as much for an hour's work in fitting it as the unit itself cost, and insisting after a technician from them came out to test our heater that there was nothing wrong with it, eventually, and somewhat to our surprise, a Bosch technician turned up to investigate our complaint. Within two minutes he established that our heater was only heating the water to 40 degrees and within half an hour he had remedied this. Since then it has been operating properly and to our satisfaction and for this we are most grateful.

Bosch always recommends that our hot water units be installed by a qualified plumber, including commissioning the unit correctly.
Bosch HydroPower hot water units come with a 2 year warranty from the date of installation. Bosch also has a list of recommended service agents, that have been trained specifically is servicing Bosch Hot Water & Heating products.
