Good washing machine. When it was working – We were very happy with our new Bosch Dishwasher, so when our LG front load washing machine started leaking, we thought it was a good opportunity to get an upgrade. ( The LG had 6 years of hard work and wasn't worth fixing).
We purchased the Bosch and we have been happy with the performance. We do a lot of washing so we went for the best model we could afford.
About 3 weeks ago however, the washing machine wouldn't always start a wash cycle until we opened a closed the door a few times. It appeared that the door switch was playing up. Not a big deal, nothing is perfect.
So I rang Bosch service and lodged a service call as the unit is still under warranty.
After 2 weeks I hadn't heard anything from the service agent and the washing machine finally stopped working.
I rang Bosch again who informed me that they couldn't get onto the service agent as they were closed due to illness.
After a few more phone calls, the best that Bosch could come up with was for me to take the washing machine 100kms to the nearest service agent. This meant about 400kms of traveling on my part to drop it off and pick it up again, far from ideal for a machine that is under warranty.
I rang another 2 times to see if I could have Bosch send the part and I fit it myself, at least this way I could get my washing machine going again!
Bosch refused as they do not supply parts directly to clients for safety reasons.
The last thing I was told was to see if I could find someone in the area who services washing machines who could look at it, then I can ring Bosch to lodge a new service call for the new repairer and possibly have the part sent to them.
Each time I ring Bosch it takes half an hour, and I can't use their callback service because it's not working.
I have spoken with Bosch 6 times about this unit, and I am still having to solve the problem myself.
Whilst they staff are friendly enought it seems that Bosch Australia is failing significantly to back up their products.
3 weeks after the initial service call, my washing machine is now useless.
Whilst I used to like Bosch products, I can't see myself buying another one again.
Ironically, my parents LG washing machine stopped working yesterday.
I told them to Buy a Miele.
Tried calling Bosch Again. After 17 Minutes on hold I had to hang up as I had to work..
Still Waiting............ Efficient, great choice of wash cycles. Washes well. Poor warranty service.
I agree, very very poor next to nil warranty service...but they happily overcharge for their products and take the money though !

Just an update on this machine. Bosch is still delaying in sending the part. It has taken weeks for them to send it out.
The service is so poor that my machine still isn't working 2 months after the initial failure.
Don't buy a Bosch if you want good warranty service. ;-(
