Bad service & very very rude!!! – So I visited Dirt Cheap Camera store at York St to have a look at some tripod. I was told the tripod I wanted was out of stock, but will come the end of the week. So I placed an order online, expecting a delivery by the end of the week. On Friday I called the store and was told the next shipment will come on Tuesday. So on Tuesday, I came back to the shop and was told that my tripod has definitely arrived but just being processed in the warehouse. I was asked to call at 5pm to check, otherwise would definitely be ready for collection on Wednesday. On Thursday I called the store and was told that I need to wait until next Wednesday. So I emailed the store and asked for explanation why they kept delaying my order. Here's the response I received from the store:

"We don't build Tripod in our back yard, we rely on suppliers. however you have not paid 1c yet, you may cancel your order and find somewehere else, otherwise we will have next Week Wednesday as supplier ETA. we have most of other tripods in stock."

"sure, however your demanding approach is also noted, we are one of rare web sites that don't charge customers unless we give stocks. so there was no reason for your demanding email.

Please let me know if you want order to be cancelled."

So, with this kind of service, anyone surprised why a lot of Australian retailers are going under?

I am getting my tripod from overseas retailer now. It would be quicker and cheaper. Good price. But with that kind of attitude I am just going to use them to get a pricematch elsewhere extremely rude service
