Do not buy one. Low life expectancy – Unlike many others mine has died just inside the warranty period. The machine will take in water but that's about it.
We bought the machine because it was supposed to be better quality but this is obviously not the case.
It has done a lot of work, our's being a family of nine, and washing nappies instead of disposables so it would have averaged three loads a day.
It has been very efficient with both water and detergent. Our water is very soft so we only use a third to half the recommended powder with great results.
Seeing that so may have reported death of their machine just beyond the two year warranty, I suspect that there is either a glitch with the electronics or it's a case of planned obsolescence. I trust Electrolux to have higher corporate morals than to stoop to the latter.
Meanwhile we have a weekend's washing piled high on the laundry floor! efficient, large loads short life expectancy
I would like to hear back from Tez51 what happened when/if you contacted Marina from Electrolux?
There is a reset code that can be entered to reset the control panel if thats the issue, but electrolux wont tell you about that if its out of warranty.....email me if you need the info, mine had this prob 3 months out of warranty, I put in the code and now it works perfectly, this company lies straight to your face, I had then on the line as I entered the code and they still denied that they knew anythin about a code!!!!
I'd like to know what this code is, I might still be able to get some more life out of it. My 7 year old electrolux has just started malfunctioning. It has otherwise been a brilliant but noisy machine.
