Absolute rubbish – I bought an Electrolux washing machine thinking I had wisely invested in a machine that would last a long time. Both the Good Guys and Bing Lee said that apart from Bosch and ASKO these machines were the dux nuts. I was happy for the first 2 months or so as it seemed to wash clothes well. At not even 3 months old it began making loud noises and violently rattling (despite being correctly levelled) when on spin cycle.
Anyway, today it has finally given up (Just over 10 years old). The drum couldn't even spin a wet towel and has completely stopped spinning. I am left with a washing machine full of wet washing that I now have to hand wash and $800 out of pocket. I seriously thought that I'd get at least 5 years out of the machine.
I have contacted Electrolux (the operator I spoke to was abrupt and said "If we find that you didn't cause damage to the product, and that it is a manufacturer fault, we will cover the costs to fix it". I feel ripped off. I also bought an Electrolux fridge and vacuum cleaner (I hope they don't break down).
Never again will I purchase or recommend this garbage. Worked well for 2 months, washed well. Short life, noisy, violently shakes when spinning
