Best Way For Me To Transfer Funds – I have been with OzForex for 2 years and I have done 2 transfers so far. For travellers to Thailand it has always been the golden rule not to convert here in Australia and just send AUD to your Thai bank account. With OzForex this is not the case, they offer good rates.

If you have any doubt about the exchange rate then I would suggest you cross reference the cash rate payable per $1 AUD at a Thai Bank. For example look up Bangkok Banks cash rate and compare it with the OzForex rate on the same day. You will find that the OzForex exchange rate is somewhere between the cash rate and TT rate the Thai Banks are offering. With that on board why use a credit card or take heaps of cash with you?

The last transfer I did was to the amount of $10,000, the OzForex side charged zero fees as the amount was 10K or over. On the Thai side I was charged 500 baht by Bangkok Bank. So for $18 I transferred 10K over into my Thai account, very good. These days for a 20,000 Baht ($689 AUD) withdrawal at an ATM with your Aussie credit card, you will be charged around 600 baht for currency conversion fees + 150 to 180 Thai ATM fee, a total of 780 baht for just $689. Too expensive for me to make several withdrawals like that.

OzForex is a very efficient way to transfer money overseas. I am happy with using them and will continue using them in the future too. Fee free for amounts $10,000 AUD and over
