Good machine – I am very pleased with my Speed Queen washer. I was told this one would last around 20yrs.My last industrial machines lasted 15yrs each so here's hoping.

It seems very sturdy and does a good job cleaning the clothes, even when I over fill it.

Control knobs are not that great(wet hands slip on knobs) but you get used to them. They are simple so hopefully less likely to break down.

I like the self balancing and the large capacity tub.

I think the $2000 price tag is worth it, especially if it lasts 20yrs as the installer said. Large capacity, quick, cleans clothes well, simple controls. Yes, control knobs are not that great until you get used to them.

Speed Queen Top Loader, purchased brand new in 2008. Thought this would be a great machine. biggest mistake I ever made. Had nothing but problems. Replaced pump and now the timer is gone, the drum is screeching, and some belt has broken, and the gears are broken. If I fix the timer it will cost $700 plus labour. I am throwing the machine out and will never buy a speed queen again. I would not recommend them.

I am just updating my review. I still love my Speed Queen nearly 7 years on. I have had no issues with it. Happy owner.
