Oooooo An excess data useage $53 - complained to TIO, 3 days later jumped up to $203 – Bad, Bad, Bad.......

The issue WAS initally, that they charged for the data, I paid up front for, and then added on a heap of excess which was twice the original up front fee....

Then when I complained to the TIO - the script monkeys sent me a formula SMS and a formula email - citing "Got a contact by the TIO - Not sure what you mean - tried to contact you - call US back - blah blah blah".

Which means:

"TPG acknowledges receipt of TIO complaint raised on XX/04/2012. I am the officer assigned to ensure that your matter is addressed and resolved in the shortest possible time.

Although you have indicated the broad nature of the difficulties you are experiencing, I need some additional information to assist in determining the cause. I have tried unsuccessfully to contact you on Mobile Number (read = BS formula SMS - with the identical content to this email)

Could you please provide me with a time which is convenient and a preferred number on which I may contact you.

If you need to reach me, my contact details are set out below. Etc."

So I sent a reply via email, querying the use of the word "Indicated" and "broad nature of the difficulties" and "determining the cause"

With this: "I was very explicit in what I said to the TIO - send me exactly what it was that the TIO sent you - and we can go from there".

No reply.

But 3 days later, the alleged bill for the "mobile broadband" got charged an additional $200 to a mobile phone account - that I do not have with them, with a mobile phone number that is not mine.

"Restoration of Mobile Phone Deposit (XXXX XXX XXX)

The balance of your Mobile Phone Deposit has dropped below

$5.00, and we have initiated a debit of $200.69

to restore the balance to $20.00.

Thank you for using the TPG mobile phone service."

Then the wording was amended in an email 2 days later - to be the bill for my mobile broadband.

3 days - and it's jumped from $50 to $200 - with a complaint to the TIO sandwiched neatly in the middle.

NOW they are saying -

"Your TPG Internet account is in arrears by $203.

A copy of your current Statement of Account and your recent invoices

are attached for your records.

Please provide current credit card information for this account via the

'Your Account' link on the TPG Home Page http://www.tpg.com.au/

Alternatively, you can update your details by contacting our Accounts

Department on 1300 360 855."

Ummmm you mean they have now lost my credit card details as well??????????

I just don't believe this.

And NO customer service - unless you call the fabricated content of 1 SMS and 1 email to be customer service.

Not Acceptable.

Instruct the bank - "Bar them from making withdrawls" and move on.

TPG is a total joke - this is just BS to the Max - every step of the way. Everything they touch turns to back end dirt.

Since I figure that getting ripped off is not on, having a phone number that they just contacted me on - to not exist on their system, and a mobile phone account and number that I don't have to be used to bill me with a rip off fee - and bouncing dozens of emails backwards and forwards between my self and script monkeys in foreign call centers, that never get dealt with except to make more emails that go no where, until they are dropped or forgotten about - but never actioned...

Life is too short for this kind of service.

TPG - You are now fired. Nothing at all. It's a psych ward on acid of total BS. Scammers and thieves. Very bad customer service. Typical foreign call center BS.
