3 SSingh  · I find them to be okay. Sometimes good and sometimes bad. I have no other company to compare them to.
1 Navindi D.  · wasted 3 hours waiting in line for mobile customer service team to answer the call. very bad customer service.
1 B M.  · Too slow when it comes to internet speed. Too many drop outs.
1 Daniel S.  · Garbage. Customer service is non-existent. It took over an hour of getting hing up on to try and cancel my prepaid plan. Avoid like the plague.
1 Disgruntledtraveller  · Avoid at all costs. Poor communication, taking payments out of my account after being requested to stop. Not reversing the payment after this has happend.
2 Ben  · Very difficult and time consuming to cancel my mobile phone service. Otherwise the service was fine

It took over a month for the sim to arrive, my new sim from another telco arrive the next day. It provided bad reception if you are travelling anywhere that is out of the city. Customer service is poor. Internet service is poor and slow. I did appreciate data banking which TPG dont offer. I was with them for 3 months and regret the change. Show details

I have been with TPG for many years, having been transitioned over from a company called DigiPlus. To be fair, DigiPlus was quite good, so I never felt the need to change. That may be why I tolerated TPG’s declining service quality over the last couple of years. What I started noticing was an increasing number of black spots, slower speeds, and,… Read more

later on, repeated complaints from family members who tried to call me and received “out of service” messages. The final straw came a few weeks ago when SMS messages began arriving many hours late. It became absurd: family members would text me in the morning, arrive home hours later, and only then would the message finally come through. In those cases they got home before their message reached my phone. On the occasion that they weren't coming home, it would be much later when I found out that the message was not received.

When I first subscribed to the original company, the service was provided via Optus. TPG later began reselling Vodafone bandwidth, and in my experience, that seemed to coincide with a noticeable drop in reliability. TPG is essentially a Vodafone service according to my phone's display.

⭐ 0/5 — Absolutely Unacceptable Service I have been without any mobile service since 12th June — that is 4 days and counting with NO phone, NO data, and NO communication from TPG. I ported away from my previous provider in good faith, completed all required ID verification, and have no pending actions on my end. Yet TPG has failed to provide a… Read more

simple eSIM QR code, leaving me completely stranded without telecom service.

This is not just poor service — it is a complete failure of basic responsibility to a paying customer. Being left without mobile service in today's world is not just an inconvenience, it is a serious disruption to daily life, work, and emergencies.

Despite multiple follow-ups over 4 days, there has been no resolution and no urgency shown by the TPG team whatsoever.

I strongly advise anyone considering TPG Mobile to think twice. If this is how they treat new customers, I cannot imagine how they handle long-term ones.

I am now seriously considering cancelling all services with TPG Mobile. Absolutely disgraceful.

Beware of the $20 "Prepaid Balance" trap – they keep your money when you leave! I am writing this review to warn others about TPG’s predatory prepaid mobile policies. While using TPG Prepaid, I am forced to maintain a minimum "$20 Prepaid Balance" in my account on top of my regular plan charges. I recently decided to switch to another provider.… Read more

It was only after I initiated the transfer that I received an email from TPG stating: "Should the transfer complete, please note that any unused Prepaid Balance and/or plan charges will be forfeited when your service is cancelled."

Let’s be clear: I completely understand and accept that unused plan charges (the monthly fee for that billing cycle) are forfeited. That is standard practice. However, pocketing the separate $20 prepaid balance—which is essentially a mandatory deposit/buffer—is highly unreasonable and feels like a parting theft.

They force you to keep this money in the account, and then legally steal it from you the moment you decide to leave.

Terrible Coverage in Melbourne CBD: I’ve tried few mobile network providers over the past 18 months, but TPG is by far the worst. They claim to offer 5G service, but the reality is far from it – the connection is so weak that it doesn’t even meet like 3G. Despite living and working in Melbourne CBD, the internet is barely usable – at home, in the… Read more

Budget and it feels like it – Plans include unlimited Australian and international calls, but data is capped and extremely expensive to top up if you run out of data ($10 for 2GB). Seems very old fashioned that the data simply runs out, rather than slows down. The service is Vodafone-based which I’ve found better than Telstra in inner city Sydney. The data speed is capped… Read more

though depending on your plan.

Extremely poor systems - the sign up is bumpy, the app is constantly asking you to sign in, and you cannot have the same online login as your TPG broadband account. You do get $5pm off mobile if you have tpg internet.

So if you’re going with TPG Mobile just know you’re getting good value but nothing else. There is probably easier Vodafone providers to deal with and ones that offer unlimited data.

Also big note - they do NOT do international roaming packs, so this is not suitable for anyone that needs to travel.

Worst 5G service and poor Telecom network – Recently, TPG/Vodafone is facing outages and very poor coverages in southern Tasmania and no communications from the Telecom service. TPG has delivered the single most infuriating, incompetent, time‑wasting excuse for a service I’ve ever had the misfortune of paying for. seem determined to avoid resolving anything.

The connection drops, the speeds tank, the “investigations” go nowhere, and every attempt to escalate is met with the same robotic loop of useless steps that achieve nothing. It’s astonishing how consistently they fail at the one thing they’re supposed to provide: a stable internet service.

If reliability matters to you, avoid TPG. If your time matters to you, avoid TPG. If your sanity matters to you, avoid TPG. This is a provider that treats outages as normal, delays as acceptable, and customers as disposable.

On 18 April, I phoned TPG to cancel my mobile service and received written confirmation the same day stating that my service would end on 22 May 2026. I called again and explained that the service had already been cancelled and that I was porting the number out before 22 May,… Read more

exactly as instructed. I was told the charge would be refunded and that my payment details had been removed to prevent further billing. I then received another cancellation confirmation, plus a separate email on 20 May acknowledging the cancellation request again.

Even after all of that, on 15 June I received an SMS and email telling me it was “time to renew” my plan — for a service that was already cancelled twice in writing.

When I called yet again, I was told the refund hadn’t been processed because my payment method had been removed — even though TPG removed it themselves. I was then told I needed to email my bank details to receive the refund. As of now, I still haven’t received any confirmation.

The service worked fine while I was with TPG, but the cancellation process has been messy, inconsistent, and unnecessarily time‑consuming. Multiple confirmations, ongoing charges, repeated follow‑ups, and contradictory explanations have made what should be a simple cancellation incredibly frustrating.
