Worst service from TPG. I ran out of data on Saturday 23rd May and couldn't purchase the additional data instantly. I did top up the prepaid balance hoping it might not take number of days to reflect balance but it has taken already 4 days and I don't know how many more days to reflect balance on my account so that I can use Internet. So these… Read more
whole time I'm cut off from the internet.
Additionally, after the full usage of data I was not able to send text messages, that was quite strange and weird. Luckily, the call service was on. Next day, I had to buy SIM card from Optus to get myself connected to internet. Shame on TPG!!!!
And the worst part? I won't be able to use $20 top up balance (Cuz, I'm already covered by Optus for a month on my new SIM Plan) and they say that is non refundable and they keep that money once I leave their service.
What a financial trap?!!!!!!
You people are the 'parasites of hard earned money' in the name of policy and terms and conditions.
I'm compelled to tick 1 star but in fact it's a negative (-5) star.
Ordered 2 sims, used 1 once received. Had to wait until details from other provider were sorted, Tried to activate 2nd sim month later for other phone. First rep mucked it up by cancelling the wrong sim/ phone number. Second rep said it was a duplicate. Which was [Content Removed] cause I had two accounts showing on line with different numbers but… Read more
since the first person mucked it up, the easiest to reinstate my number was use second sim. Third person tried to sell me internet and a new sim( I actually already paid for), now the 4th person (thus after explaining the issue to each of them) is processing my refund… maybe.Apparently have to wait 2 business days than another 3 to 10… Stay clear of them , might be cheap but are substandard. Needless to say TPG never again, not even for free.

Beware of the $20 "Prepaid Balance" trap – they keep your money when you leave! I am writing this review to warn others about TPG’s predatory prepaid mobile policies. While using TPG Prepaid, I am forced to maintain a minimum "$20 Prepaid Balance" in my account on top of my regular plan charges. I recently decided to switch to another provider.… Read more
It was only after I initiated the transfer that I received an email from TPG stating: "Should the transfer complete, please note that any unused Prepaid Balance and/or plan charges will be forfeited when your service is cancelled."
Let’s be clear: I completely understand and accept that unused plan charges (the monthly fee for that billing cycle) are forfeited. That is standard practice. However, pocketing the separate $20 prepaid balance—which is essentially a mandatory deposit/buffer—is highly unreasonable and feels like a parting theft.
They force you to keep this money in the account, and then legally steal it from you the moment you decide to leave.

Terrible Coverage in Melbourne CBD: I’ve tried few mobile network providers over the past 18 months, but TPG is by far the worst. They claim to offer 5G service, but the reality is far from it – the connection is so weak that it doesn’t even meet like 3G. Despite living and working in Melbourne CBD, the internet is barely usable – at home, in the… Read more
office, and even outdoors. If they can’t provide decent service in a central area, I can only imagine how bad it must be in the suburbs. Extremely disappointing.
Budget and it feels like it – Plans include unlimited Australian and international calls, but data is capped and extremely expensive to top up if you run out of data ($10 for 2GB). Seems very old fashioned that the data simply runs out, rather than slows down. The service is Vodafone-based which I’ve found better than Telstra in inner city Sydney. The data speed is capped… Read more
though depending on your plan.
Extremely poor systems - the sign up is bumpy, the app is constantly asking you to sign in, and you cannot have the same online login as your TPG broadband account. You do get $5pm off mobile if you have tpg internet.
So if you’re going with TPG Mobile just know you’re getting good value but nothing else. There is probably easier Vodafone providers to deal with and ones that offer unlimited data.
Also big note - they do NOT do international roaming packs, so this is not suitable for anyone that needs to travel.
Worst 5G service and poor Telecom network – Recently, TPG/Vodafone is facing outages and very poor coverages in southern Tasmania and no communications from the Telecom service. Upon calling twice and checking, they stated, “It’s been fixed” but guess what, under 5G coverage it’s gives you less than 1mbps download and upload service. No communications, and no service, let alone even no… Read more

WORST Customer Service EVER – TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I am without network for so long. eSIM stopped working all of sudden after working 1 hour. And they take days to fix it. Verified my identity. When I said, I want to cancel. She said she will send OTP to phone number which she knows is not working !!! WHAT A Shame !! TPG is going downward while others are being more customer oriented.

online identification forms, which I did.) same thing, approved then rejected, no reason, filed out the identity online 5 times, each time it was accepted, no-one would talk to me, i had no phone, no contacts, no emails, no banking, no clothes, no food, no money. I was stuck in outback QLD. When I finally got to a bigger town, after 4 days, I bought a phone specially for an eSim, they still could not help, same thing, approved then rejected, no reason, no-one would talk to me, i had no phone, no contacts, no emails, no banking, no clothes, no food, no money. I was stuck still and couldn't even tell my family or friends i was alive and they would not contact me. after another week I bought a sim for another company who managed to post my number and give me access within minutes. i lost all voicemails and had no idea who had called or left messages. such a terrible experience. that's what happens when everything is outsourced or sent overseas and companies are swallowed up by or busy swallowing up other telecoms.

very poor and still they have not fixed it after 2 years of complaints. So fed up with these companies just changing the plan and charging more when they feel like it. I'll now be looking for an alternative provider. Also trying to contact TPG is a joke, only a phone number and no email. Cannot complain about the service as there isn't any.

TPG customer support has been amazing & number 1 in between all the providers I have been with. In the past couple of days, Regine, Adil & Reema helped me so patiently & passionately regarding the issue I had. They deserve a pay rise.
TPG THE WAY TO GO!!! – So after Vodafone ripped me off last year in 2024 both financially and their lack of care on my then traded in S23+ to the S24+ with the Bonus Contract absolutely dissolved away I lost hundreds of dollars last year in 2024 to pay out my early 2 year plan contract of $1,528.11 instead of $1,280.00 or less and I switched companies to TPG using… Read more

No problem what so ever – I changed carriers because they felt the need to charge me more. Despite the bad reviews I choose TPG mobile. I found them to be extremely efficient. My new Sim was delivered within 2 days, my number was ported within 20 minutes at no extra charge. My speeds and reception are no different to my last carrier. I would highly recommend TPG mobile. ❌ EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED with this service. I cancelled my service ON TIME, but the amount for the next month was still deducted from my account. Now it has been TWO MONTHS and I still have NOT received my refund. ❌
This is very frustrating and unacceptable customer service. Customers should not have to chase their own money again and again after cancelling properly. Delaying refunds like this makes it feel very unfair and untrustworthy.
⚠️ Please be careful before choosing TPG. ⚠️ Very poor experience. ❌ I do NOT recommend this service based on my experience.
Customers will not forget these kinds of experiences, and people have the right to share honest reviews when treated like this.

So now, ive got to rush and find another telco and get the foccakta sim card here before the they charge me another month!!! TPG..is a NO GO..unless you have an ancient phone maybe?? astounding..it seems service is getting worse, telcos are getting more expensive, less logic, worse service and internet, but theyre MUCH better at taking the money.
