I feel i need to update my opinion on my weber Q bbq superseded model.I gave my weber Q a good clean the other day during Christmas holidays and have found that I can bbq chicken, Turkey, roast lamb, steaks etc, however I used to have a weber kettle bbq which I would recommend to anybody and regularly cooked roast pork with beautiful crackle every… Read more
time. However with my weberQ I feel it doesn't produce enough heat having preheated the bbq and leaving on high for the first 30 mins it's very hit or miss if you get decent crackle and I follow the make sure you have dry skin, room temp meat, salt and olive oil before placing in weber.Have replaced regulator and made sure burner tube is clean and holes not blocked to no avail so have given up cooking pork roast.I have noticed on the new model weber Q the screw assembly holding frame to cooker box has been improved to isolate heat, hopefully reduce heat transfer to the frame so maybe screws melting into frame may have been fixed.Maybe I might buy the new model with a second burner in the future my only concern would be the heat transfer problem?.
Have had this Weber Q bbq for some years now and overall a bit disappointed,I believe the bbq's short coming is when you cook roast pork have followed all the instructions and kept clean meat kept dry to maximise crackle etc but managed to melt base where bbq is attached by 4 screws. Was able to have base assembly replaced under warranty but… Read more
haven't been brave enough to cook pork since, bbq's everything else but if you heat unit as per instructions you run the risk of damage doing pork roasts so bit pointless really.
Like many others have mentioned my Weber q2000 frame also melted and distorted during a fat fire when cooking a roast last night. It’s such a shame as the rest of the BBQ has given me fantastic value over the 6 years we have owned it. The cook box, lid and burners are still in fantastic condition. Without a doubt it’s the best bbq I have ever… Read more
owned. I did replace the griddle once as they started to rust. The rust may have been my fault in the way I was cleaning it. It is a shame webers frames are not as sturdy as they rest of the bbq as being plastic they are a real melting point. Sadly the BBQ is not worth fixing as the plastic frame components are 220 delivered. A new Weber q 2000 starts at $529. 6 years has been a decent life I guess I acknowledge the fat fire is my responsibility but it shouldn’t melt that quick.

Carnivore Must Have. Compact, Portable, Incredible Flavours. Hubby is King on the Weber – Weber Q 2200 Series with Patio BBQ Cart Carnivore Must Have. Compact, Portable, Incredible Flavours. Hubby is King on the Weber. If only I knew that after 40 years of cooking for my family, that this purchase would have my hubby cooking up a storm on the Weber and loving it! I would’ve bought this years ago. I’d long admired the compact style… Read more · 3
of the Weber and finally made our first purchase late 2022.
Unlike our old oversized bbq, this Weber requires limited space on our narrow upstairs balcony, with easy direct access to our kitchen.
Convenience to pop in the boot of our car and take to the beach or in the Motorhome when we hit the road which is what we initially purchased it for.
Hubby has been learning from the masters how to cook all kinds of meats to perfection by watching numerous videos on YouTube. He’s never shown this much interest in cooking prior to purchasing this Weber.
If you take the time to learn it is worth it as everything comes out tasting salacious, incredibly mouthwatering and full of flavour. This is an exceptional, well designed bbq that is far more frequently used than any other bbq we’ve ever owned. Less time for me in the kitchen which is a first and I love that.
The Weber is relatively easy to clean. With fold in side tables that can be easily stored under the lid. Large domed lid to fit a decent size chook or roast and slow cooked to perfection. Stylish portable stand on castors to move with ease if required with hooks to hang utensils, gloves etc. Weber Q cover that fits perfectly over the top to protect from the elements.
Half hot plate and half grill are ideal for our needs. The grill brush makes cleaning the grates effortless in cleaning. The built in temperature gauge helps to achieve the ideal heat. Investing in a quality digital thermometer is a must to get any meats cooked to the correct temperatures.
Roasting pack and rotisserie are up next and on the 2023 Christmas list of gifts this year for hubby. He’s keen as to master these and I am happy to oblige and eat everything that comes off the Weber. Our adult sons are impressed with their Dads endless enthusiasm as previously they mostly manned the bbq. The compliments keep on coming and that only feeds his willingness and excitement to keep on cooking on the Weber.
We have a family of 7 adults and hubby can cater for everyone on this incredibly compact medium size Weber. Cooking in sequence, sausages or chicken nibbles, steak (then rest), onions and eggs no problem.
Great investment considering the cost. The design, functionality, portability are well thought out. And most importantly, everything cooked in the Weber tastes second to none.
Great! Bbq BUT! – Great bbq we love using our Weber BUT as you can see the photo the plastic fittings on the inside of the handles they’ve melted not sure why you’d put plastic there. Show details · 1
Stopped working within 2 months – Bought the Weber q2000 at the end of August and it worked well till now bbqing about once a week, there is no gas going to the burners at all so at this point it's useless. We were last using the Weber q pizza stone so there was no food getting into the burners and I cannot figure out what went wrong. Would recommend avoiding this product it's… Read more
been a huge disappointment considering the high price.
Update: The gas is now reaching the burners however the gas output is so strong the BBQ cannot even stay lit. I have made a video of the issue and uploaded it to youtube for you to view.
It seems quite dangerous and there is obviously a manufacturing fault somewhere in this BBQ. The gas absolutely screams out of the burners now even on the lowest settings.

Love it but room for improvements – I bought the Weber Q from BCF in April 2023 as my old baby q finally died in a move. (It was 10 yrs old and still worked, it just got badly broken in the move) Things I love about these bbq's - Even cooking - Fast cooking time- much faster than an open top bbq - The lid stops splatters and helps food cook on both sides evenly as opposed to 1… Read more
side requiring the constant flipping of food. -The patio cart was easy to put together and works well. - I like that you can swap out the grill for another hot plate or vice versa. Doing so is very easy - I like the black colourway - It's not too heavy or bulky to lift and take with you if you go camping etc. - The igniter works like a charm as does the dial to control the heat level. - Its well built and sturdy - Instructions were clear and easy to understand to put it together the first time. I did so in about 10 mins. - I LOVE the little side tables, it makes life so much easier while cooking. Its not something my old baby q had but I'm really appreciating them this time around. Its so handy to hold the bowl/plate and the utensils. - I like that it came with a recipe book- gives me cool ideas to try. - I like that they last and last, even with constant use (we use ours almost daily) If/when something goes wrong there are parts easily sourced to replace. (we never had to but its reassuring) They're expensive up front, but given my Baby Q lasted 10+ yrs i'd say its a solid investment. Here's to hoping this bigger one also lasts that long.
Things that could be better - My old Baby Q had an iron grill and this one seems to have some sort of glazing over the grill. While this does help food not stick so badly, it does prevent the grill getting seasoned. Food still sticks because it can't season well enough. - The cast iron lid was thicker and better quality in my 10 yr old baby q. It used to be made of proper cast steel, now it is more like a thin aluminium or fiberglass almost... Much poorer quality in my opinion- especially for the cost of the bbq. - The cart that comes with it feels cheap and flimsy and definitely NOT worth the price. Its very plasticky, the lattice like sides on it barely stay in and are warped and I really can't see it lasting a solid 10+ yrs that I'd expect it to (to meet the life of the bbq) even though we keep the whole thing in the covered alfresco - The pricing on acessories is still over priced for what they are. Especially considering they're not even full solid cast iron anymore. They feel much more cheap these days. - While I do love the little side tables/arms, they are really flimsy and feel like if I were to put something slightly heavy on them they'd snap off. Espcially with time, being plastic, they're likely to get brittle and snap unexpectedly. Probably resulting in my entire food on the floor. Time will tell but I'd much rather they be in steel to prevent this and give more strength and stability. - The new ones DO NOT take old style swap and go gas bottles. And living in the remote bush, that's the only style the servo's have. We got a regular bottle at full price not knowing this and then it wouldn't fit the bbq. So we had to go to the nearest town (2 hr drive one way) to find a servo that did have the new style... Which then cost us more money to get that type. All in all it was an ordeal we weren't prepared for an added an extra $100 or so to the overall cost. Would've been good to have had that prewarning on the selling page on BCF's website.
Great unit and excellent customer service – I Purchased the WEBER Q 3200 late one Friday afternoon and got it home around 5:30pm. Assembled the unit within an hour or so and attempted to change the new type 27 hose fitting to the old POL style as I still have 2 x old style POL full 9kg bottles to use up. Unfortunately, I cross threaded the connection from the old POL style flexible hose… Read more
onto the manifold of the new WEBER Q. I contacted WEBER Australia a few days later via the web site to inquire about the price & availability on a replacement manifold and to cut a long story short, the staff member that I dealt with (Nicholas) realised that the BBQ had only been purchased a few days prior due to me registering it and asked me why I would need a replacement manifold assembly so soon. After explaining how I cross threaded the fitting, he and WEBER decided to ship me (as a once off goodwill gesture), a replacement manifold assembly free of charge. I have since received the part, fitted without issue and I am happily BBQing with my new WEBER Q 3200. I have only cooked simple items such as steak, ribs & sausages, but simple to operate & fast cook time. I live on a hill and the BBq is up on a 2nd story deck, I was concerned that the breeze/wind would hamper the flames but the BBQ handles windy days without an issue. Simple to clean. Fantastic BBQ, highly recommend. Excellent after sales service – above and beyond.
No customer service not a good quality product – My BBQ is barely cooking a sausage at this point which is ridiculous for a barbecue. I have had to contact Weber about my BBQ several times because I have been having issues for years. I received a new ignition switch which did not rectify the problem and I was expected to install it. I did not get in touch with them again fast enough so now… Read more
whatever the issue is it not covered under warranty even know it was report during the warranty period. Weber advised they would have replaced it if I called earlier which is crazy as it would cost the company the same now or then. Plus if the issue is reported during the warranty permit is covered under the law. A product is only as good as the service that it is backed up by and Weber does not want to provide it’s customers service. On top of that if you want a flat plate you have to buy a 2 piece grill and then a flat plate at cost of over $200! So you then end up with 2 grills just so you can have a half flat plate. How crazy is that, support you customers Weber and provide a pack of a flat and grill!!! The cart that brought with the BBQ really unstable and not worth it at all. You would be better to put it on a table. I’m so disappointed with this BBQ for the price and even more disappointed with the service!!

Great Barbie – 20 years old and still going strong. The piezo died after abut 5 years. Just replaced the burner. It lives outside with no protection. Looks a bit mangy but works 100%. To clean it I turn it onto high for about 20 minutes then hit the grill with a wire brush. Before each cook I heat it up and spray with a mist of water. Cooking steak needs at… Read more
least 10 minutes warm up. I have my timing down pat and get a perfect sirloin every time. It is by far the best gas barbie I have owned. I also have the charcoal kettle and the portable. They are great too. Well designed and well made at reasonable prices.

Stops short of being great – We bought this as a quicker and more convenient alternative to our Weber Gas Assist Performer which takes quite a bit of time to get to working temperature but produces great tasting food. It's main use, therefore, is to cook a couple of steaks in a reasonably short time and it does an acceptable job at that. It doesn't quite generate enough heat… Read more
to really sear thick steaks - using a temperature probe it's only just over 200° at the grate after pre-heat compared to the Performer which can get over 260° - plus you don't get those lovely charcoal flavours. It is much easier to clean than the Performer (it's much smaller to start with) and as it lives on a covered deck and has the fitted cover, it's only the cooking surfaces that need anything other than a wipe over. Overall we're happy with it and it is really good at things like a quick breakfast grille (eggs/bacon/sausages/tomatoes) where the higher temps aren't needed and you get a speedy result.

Need to spend more money – Got it as a gift and it has a gas connection that fits nothing once you get it you need to spend more money changing the hose and regulator before you can use it then through the usless parts away
Hard to follow instructions and inserts to fix problems – The stand in particular is very tricky to put together, the instructions are difficult and pictures only make it harder with no words at all. Add to that they have chucked in a single bit of paper as an Addendum which is saying to add this important bit of material at Step 2 - totally outside of the instructions. I had to take the whole thing… Read more
apart to add it. If you want to save costs by redoing instructions atleast make it obvious by putting a sticker on the box or making this bit of paper stick out somehow. Sloppy fix to a fault. I hope it cooks good because it’s been a hard slog - I’ve just put together a house full of flat pack furniture and this one has been the most frustrating build.
Not the best – Ok, a lot of hype however. Don’t produce a lot of heat. I’ve also come across 3 that have had regulator problems too, apparently common. Wouldn’t buy another one but not throwing it in the dump. Show details

Excellent BBQ, wouldn’t buy any other brand – Love our Weber Q. This is our 2nd one, we previously had the family Q which was a little big for us. Cooks great, easy to use and easy to move around on the portable stand we have. Show details · 1
Love my Weber! – This is my second Q series and 4th Weber in my lineup of Weber products. It has been another excellent investment. 3 years later with regular use and no issues to speak of. Even heat across the surfaces and no hot zones. I get a great sear when cooking steaks, and can fit a surprising amount of food in one cook. Love this! Show details · 1
A great performer and excellent after sales service from Weber – We bought this in 2012 & it gets used to cook our dinner a minimum four times a week now on average. For the first few years, it was used 5-6 times per week. We rarely cleaned it & allowed heaps of crap to build up to the point it caught fire multiple times. Despite this, it always fired up the next time & continued to perform. It's now 2023. The… Read more
igniter stopped working. This is the first time somethings gone wrong. I rang the local Weber seller & was told to ring Weber, as they have a lifetime warranty. I rang them & they happily sent out a new one after asking for the serial number. After 11 years, Weber still look after the customer like its a week old. Highly recommend their brand & wouldn't look at anything else.
Good bbq – I had this bbq for 8 years and forwarded it to my cousin as i wanted charcoal only. Big mistake! Must be used with lid down, must check the gas filter ( they get contaminated with mud from bugs, and this stops the bbq from working correctly), otherwise brilliant! Not as hot as some bbq’s because it is designed to be used with the lid down. After a… Read more · 1

Great after sales service – Have owned a weber BBQ for 15 plus years. My Push Button Igniter stopped working properly and sent an e-mail to weber about it.. within a day had a reply and within a week had a new Igniter delivered to my door all free of any costs to me. highly recommend them if you are in Brisbane area and need a BBQ or Fireplace. But back to the Webber - it has now lasted 3 BBQ season. Still good as new. Starts first go. I even leave the lid open a fair bit. So if you are struggling with cheap BBQ's and ready to make the leap then do it. I love my Q and not having to buy a new BBQ every year.

Best Ever – Apart from The Family Q I proudly own, their after sales service is absolutely unbeatable . Yesterdays phone call with lady operator for a small part was just incredible. Sorry I never got her name Show reply
Why did I buy this? – If you want to use your barby as an oven this is great. If you dont want to steam your steak with the lid closed then move on because the weber only gets hot enough to cook with the lid closed. So if you want a high heat to sizzle char perfectly your sirloin dont buy one of these or you will be bitterly disappointed. Show details

Outstanding Unit – This is our 3rd BBQ. The original was a Weber, hard to clean, temperamental when it came to lighting it and not all that great. Enter top of the range Heston Blumenthal Furnace. wobbly and made it tip over. Sold that after a few years, too. Enter the Weber Q Premium 2200. Lights first time, every time. Gets really hot without having hot spots, easy to use and clean and my brother in-law, who is the 'know it all Greek BBQ King' (self-proclaimed) cannot get enough of using it when he comes over and loves the results. It gets really hot, really fast, the thermometer is very helpful and we absolutely love this unit. We mostly keep the lid down and the flavour of the meat and speed of BBQing is better than the other two. My highest recommendation. A++++
Weber Thermometers fail at battery change – I have used two different Weber thermometers; the 6741 and 6742. Both worked very well until I needed to change their batteries. Not for everyone – The webber q is definitely a lid closed cooker. The burners just don't make the grade for open flame cooking. Flimsy cheap trolley with plastic extra $60 shelves. In my opinion, a total waste of $650.
