not the best for spirited driving – I normally buy bridgestone supercats but purchased these cause my local was out of stock and the C.drives were on special at the time. the comfort and noise was on par to my preferred brand but on a mid mounted rear wheel drive car they didn't like being pushed and reached their limit alot sooner than the supercats. braking and wet weather… Read more

performance may have been a little better but it doesn't hold a candle to the supercats traction in the dry and cornering ability.

Simply good without compromising own and others on road safety – Bought 4 from bob jane in a first drive on 90KM zone they are amazingly quite, good corner grip, and hopefully will be good on fuel as my fuel reading were showing 600km petrol remaining in tank but after travelling almost 200 km its still showing 500 km so, Little bit pricey but i got them with little effort of good bargaining but importantly not more than a regret if u compromise on your own safety . i am a happy customer.

"Wiggle" or "Snake" feeling – Anything above 100 km/h, you can feel the weakness of the sidewall when you take hard corners. (steer to the left/right, nose dives in first, followed by a delayed feedback to the rears - dangerous if you are in a hurry). I'm not even talking about track usage, just everyday highway use. In terms of grip, quietness and consistency between… Read more

wet and dry, thread wear and price... they are Perfect.

But definitely not even close for a tad bit of performance use. Remember!! Eco tyres

Please with these – I like grippy tyres and will trade that for some loss of lifespan. Worth it I reckon. C-drives feel good, grip well and are good in the wet. Handle well on an 07 Forester with a 60 or 65 profile so not so sporty. Don't flex much even so. I've gotten 35 thousand km out of these and just about to replace one due to dodgy rim. Estimate 50 to 60… Read more

thousand before I get edgy about the tread depth. A decent step up from the OEM stuff with decent lifespan.

Poor mileage – Fitted to '98 Camry and only got 30,000 K's compared to 40,000 with original Bridgestone RE92's and 65,000 K's from Michelin XM1 and 60,000 from XM2 fitted since. Michelin by far the better buy. Equal to Yokies in handling stakes and far better wear

Very disappointed – I bought C-drives years ago. We get lots of rain around here, and as I have a new and somewhat powerful car, I wanted decent tyres. They were amazing. And... I managed to keep them for years. Even though they were bold at the end of their life. And quiet. So when it came time for tyres again recently, I thought better the devil you know. So I… Read more

bought them again. Holy... I don't know what happened, but they are rubbish. I can barely take off in dry weather! Yet the tread is still there!! I used to floor it in the rain! To be fair, My brother who has his own preference for performance tyres says that his brand are also worse this time around. I'm stumped..... Looks Poor performance

Excellent tyre – Excellent in the wet compared to other tyres, commodore has done about 70,000klms on them and have worn evenly. No issues, would buy again at the right price. Only 1flat, when they had minimal tread left so have been very happy with them. Bought them originally as the old tyres were terrible in the wet, was a great improvement. Klms, road handling

Long live! Yokohama brand! – New Zealand weather and roads (could be a bit better) condition. I drive Saab 9-3 convertible and it's important to mention. Installed 4 new tyres C Drive2, tyre pressure 36psi, wheel alignment and balance done. Overall about C Drive 2 - superb. It feels like my Saab got new suspension. Steering respond became easy and lighter. Wet and dry grip… Read more

is excellent, cornering is great, ... now I know what quiet tyre means - great! (the same bumps on the road do not feel anymore), smooth drive, soft and fast acceleration,

... and now probably the main reason of feedback - petrol consumption dropped from 7.1 l/km to 6.7 l/km on the same part of highway where I use to check it. Believe me or not these tyres gave me an extra petrol to drive 70 km on full tank. Thanks Yokohama.

Light feeling of under steering while tyres still new around first 500 km, and after - superb. Under steering can be explained by ... convertible is lighter than sedan or hatchback. Tyre designed for a heavier car than cabrio. While tyre was completely brand new (a bit stiffed) it gave an effect of under steering. Tyre became soft after 500 km and released all its best qualities.

C drive 2 - Good Grip in the wet – Have them on my Ford ba Falcon, very good grip wet or dry, the car had dunlop sport tyres on from new they were terrible, back end would slide in the wet no confidence in them at all, I dont have to worry about the yokohama c drive 2 tyres they are great, you need the best tyres when its your family car, as company cars will always put the cheapest tyre's they can on. Grip in the wet

C-Drive Update after 35.000km – This is an update review after a tire rotation at 35.000km. Excellent tires. I've just sent the front tires to the back which were wearing evenly but getting low. I should have rotated earlier but I still expect to get to 50.000km before having to replace them all. This is excellent wear from high performance tires. Here's my 2 bobs worth.… Read more

I have a lightweight car. A Lancer CE (1997) sedan. They have been perfect tires for my car. The grip is excellent wet and dry. OK, wet weather grip. C-Drives have excellent wet weather grip but NO tire made can grip GREASY roads. When it first starts raining the water lifts the grease out of the road and makes the roads slippery. Nothing can deal with this. You need to be realistic about what a tire can grip on. Once the grease is washed away they are excellent and even on greasy roads they are still better than most. I have never noticed them to wander and feel insecure. I DO inflate them to a reasonably high pressure of 34 psi front and 32 psi rear on my LIGHTWEIGHT car. The heavier the car the more pressure you should have in your tires. My current work van (large) has 51psi in its front tires and 48psi rear(no heavy load). I would have at least 40psi in the front tires of a Falcon or Commodore and 38psi rear (no heavy load). As an anecdote in the cycling world the highest performance tires are the most flexible and are inflated to the highest pressures. I see a correlation here. Pump them up. Flexibility is desirable for high performance from your tires but you need to pump them up firmly. All round tires can have stiff sidewalls but this takes away from ultimate performance.

Also maybe, just maybe they are better on light cars rather than heavy cars. I would certainly pump them up firmly on a heavier car.

Anyway C-Drive 2's are out now and when these eventually need replacing I will fit C-Drive 2's. Grip, wet and dry. Surprisingly good wear.

Excellent – i LIKE THEM. THEY ARE VERY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY. Yes the price is high but the appear to wear well, run cool, have good cushion, something a lot of new tyres seem to have lost. Good turn in when cornering. They have great feel in the wet and you know what is going on underneath you at all times. I have driven long distances in bad conditions while… Read more

towing and have found I have nothing but confidence in these tyres. If you can afford them get them you wont be dissapointed. It may seem like an add, but it isnt. these are very good tyres ONE OF THE BEST TYRES EVER ON MY CAR. THEY ARE QUIET AND VERY SURE FOOTED YOKOHAMA C DRIVE TYRES ARE EXPENSIVE WHEN CONSIDERED AGAINST OTHER TYRES. BUT THEY ARE VERY GOOD

Excellent – I've had these tyres on my Golf Mk V 1.9 Diesel. They are very sure footed and offer excellent grip in both wet and dry. So fa I've done over 50000kms on them. Mostly country driving. I would buy these again and in fact I think I'll buy some for the wife's Mazda3 Very Sticky. Both wet and dry.

Excellent – Overall very happy and would recommend this tyre to anyone. Haven't drivent far enough to tell about treadwear but I assume should get at least 60000km out of them as my last set (Goodyear NCT Eco) lasted 65000km. Quiet, smooth and responsive in wet and dry conditions. Trusted brand name Price, but that is what you pay dfor quality. If it saves your live it's worth it.

Unusual tyre and ride at 100km/h – On cornering at 100km/h or on local roundabouts the Falcon XLS ute I drive tends to "wiggle". The feeling is that the side walls are quite weak to get the quiet ride, etc. Wet weather is good but I wonder if the wide spacing on the tread ribs adds to the wiggle-factor. I have not experienced this previously. A drive up the Brown Mountain over the… Read more

Great Divide recently, which was the first with these new tyres, really changed the cornering on the ute with very little feel or feedback through the steering wheel. Expensive, seem to be wearing okay after 12 months (10,000km) feel okay in around town wet driving. Unusual "floating" or "wiggling" feeling at 100kmh corners or roundabouts.

Better tyres for the same price, never buy them again – I purchased this C drives after excellent experience with Yokohama DB V550. Unfortunately the C drives were did not matched they predecessors in any way. Grip is better than average wet and dry, but the feel of the tyre is not the to good(soft). Very quiet and good ride quality. The worst part was the wear, the front tyres only lasted 16000 km… Read more

(10000 miles). I didn't experienced this uneven wear on both side of the tyres ever(driving for 46 years). The outer side was completely gone on both front. I suspected alignment problem despite never experiencing any of this before with other tyres and never doing any damage to the suspension. Checking the wheel alignment confirmed no problems. I never buy this tyre again even if is cheaper. For the record, I drive faster and harder than the average driver. Ride quality, quiet. Uneven wear, didn't last

It's a toss up between these and Bridgestone Adrenalines – If you had your choice of Yokohama C Drives or Bridgestone Adrenalines, my opinion is buy whichever is the cheapest on the day. Performance is the same, dry or wet. I've been in search of the perfect wet weather tyre. Kumho KH11 met that, but the buggers stopped importing them. This is the 6th set of different tyres since my quest began. Don't… Read more

believe tyre dealers, they lie for a sale. Do your OWN research, that way you only have yourself to blame.

I purchased C Drives based on excellent reviews for wet weather performance. Unfortunately they didn't live up to my expectations. Don't get me wrong, C Drives are above average wet weather tyre. But not great. 90% of my driving is Freeway. So I want to tyre that can save my backside in the wet when someone does something stupid. I found Anti Aqua plane-ing was average for a wet weather tyre, general wet weather conditions was good. I purchased the tyres 18 months ago and have travelled 88,000km on them. They need replacing due to alignment wear. Otherwise they would have lasted a further 6 months+. Disappointed with wet weather performance. Good, but not great.

Good – YOKOHAMA C DRIVE is MADE IN PHILIPPINES, but they still did a good job. I think it may hard to find a C drive which is purely MADE IN JAPAN. I satisfied with its performance. Smooth, quiet, gd at wet condition

A good, all round tyre – After reading about these tyres here in Product Review, and elsewhere, I was really looking forward to trying them out. I bought 2 tyres (215/60 R16) to replace the Dunlop SP 200Es on the front of my 2000 AU Falcon. Although I expected a major difference, there was none really. Only slightly quieter than the Dunlops (which had done at least 80,… Read more ·  1

000 kms). It's actually made me appreciate how good the Dunlops were.

I'm now looking to buy another 2 tyres, but I won't buy C drives again. Not that there's anything major wrong with them; but I'd like to try either Michelins (Energy XM1+) or Toyos (Teo Plus). With these tyres, I feel confident driving through torrential rain, or when the road is covered in sheetwash. Also excellent in dry conditions. I don't feel confident driving on these tyres in light rain, or when the road is slick/wet. They seem to oversteer easily - I did not have this problem with the Dunlops.

Excellent – I would buy again without a second thought. Im suprised to find a tyre this good at a reasonable price. I like the wet weather grip. Very quiet tyre Suprisingly inexpensive. So far none and I hope it stays like that

Excellent – Now covered over 12,000kms with this set and have nothing to gripe about. Recently did a 600km round trip in an out of season downpour (all day) through a variety of road conditions from rural to city and back again. The water pumpability of these tyres was outstanding, in areas I thought I would aquaplane at 110km/h they didn't come close. In… Read more

my 205/65/15 size the load rating of 99 is much higher than competitors in the same size tyre, making it a stronger tyre on unsealed roads.

Impressive is the extra comfort the tyres give to the car, being quiet tyre too is a relief on longer journeys.

Passengers also have commented on their comfort compared to my other tyres.

They performed well in a couple incidents with Roos, my car not being equipped with ABS pulled up quickly with virtually no lock up and had plenty of grip in swerving to avoid them.

They certainly give the driver an extra margin of confidence.

I would have no hesitation in recommending these tyres to anyone, they are a complete package of performance, comfort, and quality at a competitive and reasonable price. Have performed beyond my expectations.

Wet weather performance at highway speeds is very reassuring.

Quiet and comfortable tyre.

The overall quality None to think of, apart from collecting gravel in the tread.

Good – Very good priced tyre for the quality. Would definately recommend if you are interested in a good mid level tyre. Excellent grip in dry, very good grip in wet. Excellent pricing point for level of quality. Wide range of fitment options. Wear is quite rapid, but if depends on your driving style, and car weight. One set tends to do me around 30… Read more
