Perfect.1st car seat – Its a covertible seat that my child has used for a number of years. My daughter has out grown it and now my son uses it. The quality of the product is exceptional and easy to clean. The adjustability of the seat makrs it easy dor our children to grow into.

best buy – We got one and it has done both our sons from the day they came out of hospital. Our first was in it until almost 3 and we only moved him out when the second came along. Number two has outgrown it at age 2 (18kg) and i reluctantly moved him out of it. They both slept well in the seat while travelling.

Great car seat - best on the market – We've had two of the Safe-n-Sound Meridian AHR car seats for our two children and cant speak highly enough of them. Our children have been in them since three months old and now have out grown them so we've bought the bigger Safe-n-Sound maxi-rider. Poor strap design – The adjusting straps are very hard to pull tight. The shoulder straps cannot be tightened most times because the butterfly piece that holds the shoulder straps in behind the seat, gets caught on the actual seat belt. The seat belt path for the Forward Facing area is a poor design. The latch (teeth) that they have on the car seat have actually shredded the car seat belt!! Would not recommend this particular car seat, especially for busy Mums!

Such a total waste of a lot of money & a huge disappointment – We wanted to get the best for our son, so after looking around we thought this Britax was the brand to buy. We spent a small fortune to buy the meridian happily thinking we were making the best choice. We could not have been more disappointed with this seat! It forced our little guys head forward so he could not rest it back which was sooo soo… Read more

painful to watch when he'd fall asleep. Very stressful & not what you want to add to driving in traffic. It affected our lives in a horrible way & we avoided going out at all. I felt depressed that we'd lost hundreds on this piece of accident & injury causing uncomfortable garbage. It's actually a ridiculous design. His head would hang dropping all around unable to just rest back as the seat would just keep him forced out ward. I do not understand how they can get this model soo wrong. Such a total waste of money. It is sitting uselessly in our spare room just reminding us of all the hundreds we wasted. We will throw it out. We had to then go out & buy a cheap replacement which honesty was a lot better. Very disappointed in this seat.

Not sure how safe this car seat actually is! – My major problem with this seat is regardless of how good it looks or how 'safe' it's features are supposed to be, if the buckle repeatedly comes undone when you're driving, then there's a pretty big issue! My husband and I have developed the habit of checking the buckle at a very least of four times before we start driving. We have to do this… Read more

by yanking on it as hard as we can, to make sure it really doesn't come undone. We have been caught out that many times with this car seat when we've been driving. It just seems so contradictory to me that this seat, worth hundreds of dollars new, and for the sole purpose of keeping your child safe while driving, has a critical issue with the buckle. One can only imagine what the consequences could be in an accident. Additionally, the straps are very difficult to tighten or loosen. I find myself continually straining with all of my arm and upper body strength to make the shoulder straps tight enough to be safe for my son. Sometimes, I just can't get it to my satisfaction- another critical issue. I also have a Maxi Rider which we use for our older son (3 years), and we never have any of these issues with the

Maxi Rider. Yet we have had continuing, ongoing, major safety issues with the straps and buckles with the Meridian, from the very beginning - and we bought it brand new. I can't believe I have to worry every time I put my child in this seat!

Safest on the market (I think) – The Britax Safe-n-Sound Meridian AHR was the car seat we bought on the recommendation of a few baby car seat retailers. The installation and use instructions are very easy to follow. The good: easy to install and use, well known anad reputable brand focusetd on child safety, has 'wings' to protect child's head and helps them fall sleep, nice colours, soft fabrics. The bad: easy for food to fall underneath in small nooks and crannies

CAME UNDONE IN CAR ACCIDENT – I bought my Safe n Sound Meridian car seat in August 2015. On April 14th 2016 I was involved in a car accident and when I jumped out to check on my 6 month old the car seat buckle had come undone. Thank god the car didn't flip or my baby would have fallen completely out. Dangerous and unacceptable! My mum called Britax and they told her that if I… Read more

I don't know how they can consider this acceptable. I will NOT be buying this brand car seat ever again and will be telling all the mums and mums to be I know about this! Not worth the risk. Extremely frustrating and upsetting thinking what could have happened to my son...

Cover and material falling apart is acceptable to them – After not even 3 years of use my car seat is falling apart. What a joke! They can forget my future business with another child on the way and my current one needing a new seat in the next year.

Fantastic Car Seat – Have loved this carseat, easy to clean, easy to adjust without removing from the car. Straps get tangled occasionally but easy to sort out. My son has two of these, one for each car and have not regretted our decision once. The seats were a bit pricey to begin with but if we were to be involved in an accident I know it would be money well spent. Easy to clean, easy to adjust, safety rating, comfortable Pricey but acceptable for safety

It fits in to a honda civic – I have been trying very hard to whether this car seat can fit into Honda civic 2007 model or not on the internet, and couldn't find it. The look and feel of the seat is good and it looks strong. Had it installed professionally so it is safer. safe, large

Safe, Comfy, Easy to Use, Very Happy and Recommend it! – I have 2 SnS Meridian AHR Seats because they are so great - 1 for each car! I used 1 from newborn - it is great, snug, comfy and secure! downstairs to the car, but I was much happier to put him into the Meridian as it is so much more comfy with the extra padding.

In forward facing mode my toddler is high enough to see me clearly and see out the window. I still have it slightly reclined for car sleeps, and his head rests neatly against the AHR padding and doesn't loll forward!!

I would recommend this seat to my friends having babies, as you can use it until 18kg - in my case that is 4 years old!

It is easy to install once you know how - I've practised putting it into Nanna's car!

Only downside is that you need to remove it from the car to adjust the strap height and headrest height - but you don't need to do that often!

I have used my 2 Meridians for my 2 boys and I'll use them again for bub #3! Safe, comfortable, reclines, great for newborn and for toddlers! Padded for babies, all the accessories, hood, car seat protector, mesh pocket to hold toy or dummy. Sits up high to give baby a great view! You need to remove it from the car to adjust the strap height and headrest height - but doesn't happen often!

The safe'n'sound rep told me that no properly restrained child could get out. she tried and in under 10 seconds my daughter had both her arms out wriggling around. I've been told every car seat out there has this problem as you can't buy the 'H' style harness until 4 years of age.

Going to buy a new seat for her and use the Meridian on the newborn due in a few months until they too can get out (hopefully not as sneaky). Moving on from Safe n Sound because there is no more advice other than 'have you tried yelling at her- or a policeman telling her off?' she is 2 but doesn't understand and pulling over every 3 streets is too much hassle.

For the money there should be more product support as after asking I've found dozens of Mums who have had this same issue of getting their arms out. It just is not safe and that's the whole reason I spent all the money on this seat in the first place. Safety is paramount.

Very disappointed :( Looks comfortable and the safety data was great- if you can get your child to stay in it!! My daughter gets her arms out of the straps, even with the Safe'n'sound rep trying her, canopy is just stupid

Secondly the false advertising of retractable feature which is not operational once the seat is installed. To change the position of the seat one would have to undo all seatbelts.

Thirdly: this seat does not offer a comfortable position for sleeping. It is impossible to use on dinstant rides as its position is almost totally upright forcing sleeping child's head to fall down. It is hearbreaking watching your child fall asleep in a car with its hand dangling forward. Surely this could not be good for the child!

I have just got my driving license and being a new driver, the safety on the road is the priority.

I have read lots of reviews on it before - and I am just amazed that people are not really mentioning how uncomfortable they are for the children sitting in them. One thing, is to be in a car for 10 mins and for the child to be awake. But as soon as the child falls asleep, his neck in all sorts of horrible positions, dangling, moving from side to side, it is absolutely heartbreaking to watch them in it. At this stage, I am sitting at the back between the seats (thanks to my petite figure) and with my both arms supporting both my childen necks (!!!!!)while my husband is driving.Safe and sound Maxi is even worse as it has only one upright position.

I am planning to contact the customer service and try to get rid of these frustrating carseats. Apparently safe Hugely uncomfortable to sleep in it, expensive

its reputstion for one of the best on the market. We bought the "Retractor" model and after using it I would have preferred the normal style with the belt adjustment rather than a button. The seat is very snug for baby and I find I have to adjust the seat belt depending on what baby is wearing and that isnt as easy as it should be as baby needs to be out of the seat while you press the button and tug both sraps to make the belt bigger (and you often dont know it needs to be bigger until you try to put baby in!) On the other hand to make it smaller it doesnt simply belt snuggly around baby 'at the press a button' I find I have to grab the straps behind the seat and tug them while pressing the button to tighten it. So im a little disappointed we paid the extra $50 for the retractor model.

Great seat. Comfy but pricey – First of all, I can't believe the reviews below. Seriously? Most kids' heads will fall forward in most upright, forward facing car seats. position allows for a recline, and it's enough to keep bub's head where it should be.

And I fail to see how you need to undo the seat belt in order to adjust it. I have never had to do this. The red clips are NOT a necessity-- all cars have auto-locking seat belts, which is what most car seats use to ensure the seat doesn't move in an accident. The seat is also very stable once installed properly. If you feel it's not stable I suggest seeking out a professional car restraint installer.

I found this VERY fiddly when my son was a newborn. I felt happy that he was in the safest seat, but hated getting him in and out. Once he got a bit bigger it became SO much easier. The Meridian AHR is massively comfy compared to other seats.

Overall I loved this seat. Very safe, easy to keep clean, comfortable and has 100% done it's job. Very pleased and definitely recommend it! Reliable, comfortable, safe. Cost.
