this makes it alot easier to ajust for sleeping babies. It is a very long seat when in the infant/newborn position which limits where in the car it can be put. i could not have it behind the driver because i am quite tall and the driver seat is to far back to fit the car seat in behind. the straps also twist alot and this make the retrating feature hard to use

Good – I cannot rate it highly enough. Had a car plow into my stationary AUII ford falcon at about 70kmh and the only injury my 10 month old baby girl got was some slight bruising across one shoulder near her neck. months later, not to mention the state of the car. I would not use anything cheaper than this to protect my child, well done Safe and Sound (Britax). Excellent quality, well designed, comfortable for my little girl and easy to use. I believe it saved my baby from serious harm in a bad rear end collision. Free replacement seat after car accident, a great policy. Sun hood has faded in the sun. (free replacement seat after accident has the same problem)

is a great idea, the seat does not damage the seating inside the car. I find it hard to secure the belts properly, they tend to twist. It can be hard to pull the baby out of the seat as well, especially when the baby is older.

Quite expensive compared to some other seats on the market.

Terrible – I would strongly suggest that if you are considering a Meridian AHR (or any Safe & Sound seat with a retractor option) that you do not get a Retractor. A manually adjusted harness is not difficult to use, but a retractor is. The extra cost is not worth it at all. Fabric and comfort. feature is not helpful. It does not work well at the best of times (relying on it means that the harness does not fit the child correctly) but also tends to stop working at all after as little as 6 months. The mechanics of this means that you then have to reach around the back of the seat and drag the harness tight while pushing hard on the retractor button. This is particularly difficult and cumbersome once the seat is forward facing.

This seat has many many more safety featured than other car seats on the market.I believe the AHR is a must.This is why is has been rated as Australia's safest car seat.I highly reccommend this car seat.Is expensive but is Worth every cent as it's keeping your most precious cargo safe! Excellent – I love this car seat & would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a new car seat. We used it from birth & will use it for many years to come. the nasty sun off my sons head through the back window. I would definatly buy this seat again if I needed too. Comfortable, lots of padding when in rear facing with the new born inserts, colours match the interior of my car. I love the fact you can lengthen and retract the seat belts with the push of a button. Especially in winter when bubs is often bundled up abit more. The fabric is easy to clean and the cover removes form the seat easily for washing. My son is tall so being able to adjust the head rest is great for us! The seat belt twists every so often so I have to take the seat out to fix it...But it gives me an opportunity to vacuum under it anyway.

Excellent – I bought for first baby and would easily recommend to anyone and buy again if I needed to, nice style too, matches to interior of car and material is nice and plush and soft. Great, from newborn to toddler. Easy to clean, easy to fit to car, retractor is fantastic!

Good – Good seat worth the money as you can't put a price on your child's safety - in built headphones wasted; would never get a retractor again - manual much better. the baby insert was good for a premmie baby. seat easy to adjust as they grow and turn forward facing straps always twist! retractor button doesn't work - always have to adjust manually as well - sliding hands behind seat and pulling on at the same time.

Excellent – Love the easy push button harness. Very comfortable for my baby. I haven't used the sun hood but it is a great idea. backwards, now he just loves being able to see everything. Don't use the sunhood as my son would just pull it off!! Highly recommend. I know the the model up has a cd player, which we didn't need so we got this model. Couldn't be happier. Will be getting the safe and sound maxi rider when we have another baby. Love this car seat. Got due to being one of the safest on the market at the time and still is I believe. Side impact which a lot don't have. Great colour. Great for newborns.

not work properly so can never tighten the straps well so I have safety concerns, straps twist all the time, no protection of the straps so they cut into the skin of the baby. When you place baby in the seat it will sit on top of the straps, and then you have to try to retrieve them from underneath the baby which is very frustrating, seat is ugly, material is wrong as baby sweats a lot in it

Excellent – Very happy baby looks safe and secure. Adjusts for growing child. I bought it because i heard it was the best. I recently borrowed a friends mothers choice cheaper seat and it became very obvious you do get what you pay for!! I love this car seat. Baby looks far more comfortable than other seats. $$$ luckily we bought our second hand. Straps do tend to twist a fair bit.
