Overall:
The PS3 is the best of the best games console. largely due to it can be used for a variety of things dvd, blu rays, tv, games, online searching, 3d upgrades and is constantly being upgraded with software downloads. I use my playstation to play tv, enabling me to stop pause rewind live tv, plus record your favourite tv shows how cool is this i tell you all. Add to that a Blu ray player, plus numerous other capabilites such as downloading music and classic games from the playstation store which is very cool. So get out there and get your self a ps3...
Pros:
Good game selection and blueray features. Optional PlayTV box to turn it into PVR. Easy to use, syncs up to computer.
Cons:
Mediagate feature was not very user friendly. We would have had to reformat all of our hard drives to use it. Only comes with one control and very pricey to buy a second and they don't come with the USB cable.
Overall:
Games available are pretty good and I really like that it game sync with computer. I also like that you can use it to watch T.V shows off of channel 7. However, we bought it so that we could use it as a media gate and this feature was a big disappointment and we ended up buying a media gate anyways.
Pros:
Good versatile machine - I use my playstation (with an upgraded 500mb HDD) to store photos, music and video (playtv and vidzone) The system is easy to operate and navigate and to top it all off an excellent games console/blu ray player
Cons:
Accessing the internet via the playstation can be a bit clumsy. Could do with more games.
