1 rbillimo  · Beware this product . Very difficult to cancel card and they keep charging $8 monthly fee plus interest every month .
1 Selwyn Wood  · New fees – Used to be great, then sends me a letter saying I owe 4 months worth of $8 a month fees I knew nothing about. Now closed account.
1 Roslyn  · Rip off – From fee free to $8 a month, BPAY fees. I used for o/s travel, so no point paying monthly fees for that purpose.

28° Latitude Amazon refunded me $201.99 into my closed 28° account on the 16th September. I called Amazon three separate times, as 28° kept telling me the payment hadn’t been made - EVERY time I call their first response is the money hasn’t been paid, even though when they start digging into my file they find the payment. I have called 28° at… Read more

least three more times than the following, from here I started taking notes: - 9th October - Spoke with manager and gave my new BSB and Account details to be paid into. Still not paid. - 20th October - will call back; no call back. - 24th October - Spoke to [Name Removed]; to email back office “high importance” and call back in 5/10 business days.

I do not recommend this product, and I actually think they’re trying to wear me out to steal my money. Beware.

I'd leave no stars if possible. I initially applied for the Latitude card on the 25th of June. Despite me living in a Duplex and in application stating that my address had a letter after it, they sent my card twice to the wrong address. I had to call them twice to ask where my card is, the second phone call the realised it was the incorrect… Read more

This company almost ruined our trip to Japan, luckily we just happened to bring our other bank cards with us. After activating the card back home in Aus on the 21st of September (and receiving the confirmation email), I felt that the card was ready to use, even set it up in my Google Wallet as the email suggested to do this. We attempted to use it once we arrived overseas only to have it declined. Then spent two hours of our trip, talking to customer support only to be informed it was not activated despite receiving confirmation on the 21sth of September. I spoke to a consultant who told me i had not activated the card, but somehow had set a pin number, i was assured all was good. Attempted to use it again on the 3rd of October to buy tickets online, I opted for it to send a confirmation number to my email for the purchase as I was using an E-Sim. I spoke to customer service, once again and was told my card was not activated, he also said that their company would be sending texts to comfirm the purchase. I again explained I am in another country and can do this over email. The consultation told me as per policy I should have contacted them and told them I was going to Japan and this is the issue. I had been told the consultant that she had updated i was in Japan and had also noted this when I spoke to the consultants, when my card was being sent to the wrong address. Support just kept trying to blame us for it not working and now required to have sms confirmation. Like so many travellers we are using E-sims so this is not possible. If you want a reliable card go else where this company is useless. This has caused do my unnecessary stress. I could have been stranded in another country with effectively no money, the company could not care less. How appalling!!!

DO NOT GET A CREDIT CARD WITH THIS COMPANY. 10 years ago they were reasonable but over the last few years have progressively got worse. charge. Today tried to check my balance on the app but now it's asking to link my existing credit card again? tried but does not recognize my email address? Call customer service, wait time says over 20 minutes, 10 minutes in on waiting on the phone, a robot comes on and says we are experiencing technical difficulties call back later and hangs up. Tried to call back several times and still says experiencing technical difficulties. All I want to do is check my balance, pay off this card and cancel the card, but I can't even do that because there is no access to my account and no customer service???? Judging by the previous reviews it's obvious they have lost many customers, I can't see this company being around much longer.

This feature is currently unavailable – The whole point of this card is no fees for overseas use. Wouldn't give me more than $2k credit despite being a high income earner, ok fine I will just top up as needed as I go. LOL yeah right. free, for days on end I get "This feature is currently unavailable."

When it finally works the payment shows and I get a "thanks for paying" email the next day but the credit isn't available so got declined at a resort which was super embarrassing and ended up having to pay via another card costing me $40 in fees. Tried to call them but gave up due to ridiculous wait time. This card is a waste of time, and I don't remember it being this crappy pre-COVID.

Direct debit payment involves printing, filling in and posting a physical piece of paper, in 2022.

I'd rather use a card with fees to avoid the stress and embarrassment of trying to top up a card that doesn't allow you to and then declines despite acknowledging payment has been made. Trip ended up costing me hundreds in foreign transaction fees but at least I got FF points on my other card.

Standard CC, good rates, terrible online billing – The card works well and is accepted almost everywhere. I rarely have problems where the card isn’t able to process a payment. The rates are fine, who cares if you’re counting cents whether it’s the best, it all comes down to functionality. To elaborate on that fact, the website and app are terrible. You cannot see what purchases are for days… Read more

afterwards. It’s really hard to work out what purchases are when there are exchanges involved. It is typically 4 days before you can find out who the vendor is. That’s terrible, many of my other cards can give instant feedback as to who the vendor is, who not a massive company like this, details cannot be seen until after transaction is cleared which makes it very difficult to track if card has been involved in a fraud activity. See screenshot of past 4 days of “pending” transactions.

Product fine. But no CSV statements or direct form contact – While I have no qualms about the product itself, some administration tasks need improving: 1. You can't download CSV statement data. You are stuck with PDFs. It's like being in 2003. 2. You can't contact Latitude via a form once logged in. Terrible. Show details

good experience – I've been using this for probably a decade. Compared to my other credit cards, no issues here, unless you forget to pay them back at the end of the month. But I suspect that's universal for all credit cards. I haven't actually had to interact with their customer service agents, so I wouldn't know about that side of the experience.

Do not get this card! I’ve had this card for almost 10+ years but: 1. They recently introduced a monthly card fee without proper notification to their customers. As I only use this for travel and not my everyday card, they charged me interest on the monthly card fee even though I made no purchases. 2. This happened on more than one occasion and… Read more

they blocked my card (just on 1 unpaid card fee of $8) and I was without a card while overseas! I called to make an urgent manual payment so the block could be removed, they were unable to do anything they said. 3. Finally, I later found out while refinancing, my credit score dropped 350 points from these unpaid/late card fees and now I’m in a position where my application which would otherwise go through easily is in question.

Latitude Financial in general has unclear, almost illegal fees, and they don’t care if it affects you even if you’re not at fault. I have now closed my card and will never entertain any of their products.

A few days later they withdrew my request to reinstated the card. Honestly, since Latitude has taken over 28 degrees they have become an awful financial company. I recommend not to deal with Latitude but to shop around, there are other banks that offer fee free Mastercard with much less interest charges than Latitude offer. I for one would certainly not recommend Latitude to anyone.

RUBBISH - This was the best card on the market for international travel / purchases. Seems everyone had one for the same reason, no exchange fees. was their strategy, to get rid of all those mostly dormant accounts and it worked. THEN they send me an email 4 months later saying, "We want you back". I thought, OK, reactivate the account on the promise of 24 months fee free and then we'll see. BUT NO, you have to apply again for credit approval. And I never use credit, I pay up front. The thing that makes me really cranky about Lattitude is the lack of clear communications, dealing with agents that either can't understand you or you can't understand them. Lattitude MC need to sort out what they want to be before making customers jump through inconvenient hoops on a hiding to nowhere.

Despicable, dodgy company ran by shameless greedy people. I have had the 28 degree for years ,previously there were No fees and the card had good features, Now the card has an $8 a month fee which equates to $96 a year ,for that we should be getting amazing benefits or frequent flyer points instead they have basic benefits ,I don't know who came up with this rip off, it doesn't make me want to keep the card, there are better options on offer through other institutions. to call back to assist my mum, and the customer service person said he can’t help my mum with the answers, as she kept getting the numbers confused. This is a disgraceful display of customer service, with a lack of compassion and understanding towards someone who now has a disability. This is could be considered discrimination. If there was a resolution, the customer service definitely didn’t show any other options. Or patience with my mum.

My mum has not used this card in more than five years and due to a change in policy, 28 degrees latitude have started charging card fees. She did not understand what the statement was for and had been charged a credit interest for payment, which was giving her stress.

I also had the same card, and last year on several occasions attempted to contact 28 degrees latitude to cancel my card, and was unsuccessful firstly getting through on the phone after waiting two hours, and also contacting them via email. I lastly went online to cancel my card and reconfirmed via email that I would not be paying the credit interest, and I did not get a response from customer service to this day.

NEVER EVER SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY – They're just a huge scam and basically a loan shark company. You end up trapped to them for decades trying to pay off a small debt, cause of their absurd $45 late fee and nearly $80, so every month you're being charged an extra $135, so if you're paying $100 every month, you're paying at a loss. They don't even notify you of any plan changes or… Read more

cancelations at all either, if you're on the hardship plan, and pay MORE than the agreed amount, they'll cancel your plan and charge you nearly $100 of interest more, and they charge interest rates at illegal percentages too.

If you were on the 60-month Harvey Norman deal from back in 2023, you should find out if your plan has been canceled without your notice too, cause that's exactly what happened to me, I was never notified at all, as it was last October, I should've been notified and never was, and they keep saying I was told when I wasn't told. When I was on the hardship plan, I was told if I paid more than the min, that would be fine. Apparently, it was not, cause that got canceled without notifying me as well

I have paid $510 to them and only roughly $120 out of all that was paid to my debt. Their customer service was so unhelpful. They just kept going in circles repeating and I guess they didn't understand what I was saying, they kept telling me to go to Harvey Norman about this issue and that makes no sense at all, cause the job isn't with them anymore, it's with LATITUDE!

They don't want you to pay off the debt/loan, they want you to stay in it for as long as possible, and its horrible for anyone who doesn't know any better. They're not like any other of those buy now pay later companies, like Zip or Afterpay, Latitude isn't transparent, they're sneaky and lie, and change everything behind your back without notifying you till you check, and see only 120 dollars was paid of the over 500 you paid over a few months.

Oh and if you pay via Bpay, guess what???? You STILL GET CHARGED LATE FEE'S!! Why? I really don't know, But I've been paying via Bpay and even though it's over the minimum amount, I'm still being charged their absurd late fees. This card ain't getting paid for at least a decade at this rate, maybe more

Used to be great but then they introduced a monthly fee on a "no fee card" – Breach of trust - longtime customers do not appreciate a provider totally changing the nature of a product. Great product for a long, long time until recently - I had been a customer for over a decade. Latitude has the perfect right to charge customers fees if it incurs extra costs. However they would have been better off shutting down this… Read more

formerly 'no fee card' if they wanted to start charging fees on it rather than pull the wool on customers after years and years with no fees. They should also be required to communicate the change MUCH much more clearly - I only noticed the fee rise in a note on the back of my statement. I never received a letter noting this massive change in practice, nor a specific email. This is unacceptable.

The fee structure is also a massive churn, customers now have to pay $8/mth fees but can get back $10/mth in gift cards if they spend more than $1k/mth. So the fees are a net cost to Latitude if all customers respond rationally. It obviously disadvantages low volume customers, while advantaging higher volume customers - if you ignore that hassle factor of having to remember to redeem and use gift cards every month just to save a net $2/mth. This is silly business sense - making customers jump thru hoops for very little benefit to them and a likely net cost to your organisation.

PS they've also clearly downgraded their customer experience recently with the launch of the new "Latitude Service Centre". Now users cannot download their transactions - despite this feature long being present under the old website. I cannot think of a single benefit of the new site - it has literally no new useful features. Customers do not appreciate new 'services' that are unambiguously worse than the old.

Not worth the hassle to me - I've shut down my account. If other users leave too then management might get the message and stop treating customers poorly. Latitude have really gone down hill - avoid.

Latitude 28 Mastercard fees for a card I had a decade ago – I received a letter saying I owed money on a Latitude 28 Mastercard - I hadn’t had a card with them for over 10 years. I went on their online chat and they said my debit balance had actually increased. As soon as I said I would be complaining to AFCA they told me they would resolve the situation and waive the fees. What a waste of my time and theirs. I would never do business with them again.
