years and 6 months after purchase ( out of warranty) the on and off button on the hairdryer stopped working. I took the hairdryer to an electrician to fix the issue and found that the hairdryer is not made to be taken apart for repairs. I cannot justify paying $350 for a 2 year use. Disappointed in yet another product not made to last the distance.

'normal'. I sent the product to ghd (user warranty)- who replaced it... but the replacement model has the same 'high pitch noise'. I have been using hairdryers for over 50 years and NEVER have I ever had a hairdryer that has been so noisy that I have had to complain. It would appear that this is the 'normal' noise of this hairdryer. If you are after something quiet do not purchase this product.
