the cup. I bought x2 headset, one for me and my son. My son's failed first and JB-HiFi replaced it under warranty BUT ultimately all 3 units failed at the same place. I undertook an inspection of the failure and noted the poor mechanical design. The headband includes an aluminium pivot point with sharp edges which eats into the plastic boss of the earcup. Over a relatively short period of time the plastic boss cracks with the normal use relating to the removing the headset. To the mechanical design team the plastic boss should be of aluminium as joints involving moving metal on plastic parts lead to premature failure. I have included an image of the internals of the black headset and external picture of the white headset highlighting the nature of the failure.
