We bought online without actually seeing the product first hand. That was a bit nerve wracking given we spent over $2000 for our setup. The service was excellent from start to finish. We had some minor product fault issues on our maiden voyage but they were resolved instantly by Paul. Excellent product and I would highly recommend. Show details
For the first year was pretty happy with this awning but the problems started. The cover is not waterproof and I have to open up the awning to dry it after it rains. The black cover leaks black ink or paint so I now have a white canopy with black lines down it which will not come off. And lastly despite being tied down on all arms, a wind gust bent one of the arms like a little twig. Replacement parts are available but very expensive.
Poorly manufactured – I purchased a pod camper and as part of my purchase I paid for a 30 second awning to be fitted. There are several concerns with the overall quality of the of this awning. Firstly, part of the awning has pulling out of its aluminium track, which is now around 250mm of awning which has come out of its guide. I attempted to fix it however it just… Read more
pulled out of the track again. Secondly, there are three Velcro braces which connect to the awning arms, two of these are showing small tears where the brace sewn to the awning roof. Thirdly, the straps used to peg out the awning walls NEED to have some reinforcement at the point where they’re sewn to the actual wall. These are already showing signs of small tears where they’re fixed to the awning wall. The 30 second awning adds show it being used on the beach on a windy day. Irrespective of whether or not it’s a windy day/evening, this product should be able to withstand some wind without being damaged. As I write this, I’m camping on the Coffs Coast and a fellow camper has a 30 second on their camper. So I asked them about their experience, and they have had the exact same concerns and issues in less than 12 months. When they took it back to be repaired they were told this wouldn’t happen unless they had the awning up in windy conditions. I ask, what’s the point of an awning if it’s so poorly constructed it starts to have issues like this. My awning is less than six months old.
Perfect for me – Husband and I battled over this one and the Bush wacker awning . We chose the 30 second awning and so far so good. I was over trying to set up the kings awning when by myself when camping solo so I wanted something quick easy and good shelter from the wind and rain. Very easy to set up and pack up on my own. I go down to Albany once a year and it… Read more
sure got a test out, while everyone was packing up there awnings in the strong winds and rain I quickly put up one wall and used the tie downs. The rain was quite heavy and there was no pooling. The winds where up to 35 and I was quite comfortably sitting in my camp chair , dry and sheltered from the wind. I really like the zips and the quality of the pegs are really good.
Great awning! Quick, Easy and well priced – I've used this in all weather's and its performed really well. No water drips, no sagging and water drained away perfectly. I have made a couple of minor mods (LED lights on each arm, and I added cut the open ended hook off and replaced it with a carabiner instead for easier one handed attachment.) I know that they have strengthended the pivot… Read more
bracket and early models were subject to minor twisting, thankfully all resolved now and very strong. Glad I did my research and bought this one.

Not happy – I purchased this product and on 1st time use opened it up to find wear holes in canvas contacted 30 second awning and after more than 3 weeks not even a mention of a resolution.extremely disappointed as previously had a king’s awning for 2 whole years on vehicle with no problem but purchased what was supposed to be a much superior product for a… Read more
cost of over $1200 To find it faulty from the get go and after sales service has been appalling.full of empty promises and non responses and excuses so far also the company I purchased it from was 4x4 mods Australia and they also keep passing the buck and have shown no responsibility and making it my problem. So yeah owned it for 30 seconds and not happy
Perfect free-standing Awning – Overall perfect product for the price, would recommend. Really is a 30sec awning to setup and pack up. Took camping for the first time over the weekend and it performed perfectly. Had one leg and two tie ropes down. First night it rained, I didn't have the ropes to pull it down so it did pool a bit over night. The design helped most of the water… Read more
run off, held up strong and no leaks. The Sunday was super windy and it held up where other caravan awnings didn't. I have bolted it directly to my trailer so cannot comment on strength of brackets supplied.

Not freestanding at all – So had a beautiful day at the beach until so called the "Incredibly strong and durable and no poles or ropes are required unless the wind is howling" 30 Second wing awning decided to swing the other way bending all 3 brackets (corner bracket I had to find and fit seperately as it only came with 2 L brackets) Had it for 3 months used maybe 5 times.… Read more
Absolutely useless and $1,300 down the drain. Would've got the same results from kings awning but at least I would've saved some money. 30 Second Wing Awning

The awning that change the game – I used this awning for the first time on the beach in moderate to strong winds, pegged down with sand pegs and bolted through a Rhino Rack pioneer platform. I was worried reading another review on here that i made a bad choice..... But the awning performed outstandingly, providing enough shade to look out to the waves and not worry about having to… Read more
move every 15 minutes. I only put the awning away when the wind changed and came straight for the middle of the awning and threatened to take my car down the beach with the awning still attached. If you are considering buying one of these awnings, grab 2 extra legs for when the wind gets crazy and mount it correctly DO NOT TRUST the channel system of your rack.
This awning gets 5 stars for quality, performance and price.
30 Second Awning – I’ve got the new 2.1m 30 Second awning on my Toyota Hilux. Fits great on an ARB canopy, windows can be opened with awning out. Strong, super easy to set up and pack up! Highly recommend!
Good product !! – Hi I bought this awning and had it professionally installed. It is secured to the top of an aluminium roof canopy with internal bracing stiffening the assembly. I purchased extra poles before I used this on the beach as when I test assembled in my yard the wind really pushed it around. It would pivot side to side on the support brackets. The extra… Read more
2 poles I bought stopped all movement in heavy winds and this was without any ropes. One pole in my opinion needs to go at the rear of the vehicle on the smallest pole and this almost immediately stops twisting. ( note strap the awning from the end only back to your vehicle. this strap also is very good to hold onto when closing the awning in heavy wind. The awning will close up with 2 poles attached but struggles with 3. I keep the 3rd separate as I only need this on rare occasions. I purchased 1 wall and used it many times I’m now going to purchase another after my latest trip. I have a tent from the same company that zips on. NOT WATER PROOF!! This must be water proof sprayed your self as the awning run off eventually drips through EVERYWHERE on top of you sleeping. I’ve just experienced this 3 hours before I wrote this and it’s about 5degC. Yes I’m cold and wet but besides the tent leaking which I can deal with easy everything stood up to the storm and lashing winds that came. Always use elastics or springs on your ropes to prevent tearing of strap points. Overall I’m rating the awning as a 4. It’s loses 1 point because I had to put a rivit into the canvas where it slides in for extra strength. I hope this helps anyone looking to buy one on these.

Don’t waste your money!!!! – I can not express how ripped off I feel from 30 second wing awning. I bought my $1150 awning 2 weeks ago and the second time I used it it was buckled over my land cruiser, scratching the hell out of it and completely destroying my rhino rack in 10 knot winds (WHILE TIED DOWN WITH 3 ROPES) the ropes snapped and it all split apart like a tin can. I… Read more
provided the company photos of my camp set up to show the ropes pegged in, the live wind report (5 knot winds with 10 knot gusts) and all the photos of the damage it caused. I had absolutely NO help from 30 second wing awning WHAT SO EVER! They wouldn’t even answer my calls. I feel like iv been ripped off, lied too and the blame put back on me saying “you must’ve tied it down properly” what a joke! Absolutely disgusting way to treat a customer. They should be ashamed of themselves!

One big waste of money we feel – 2nd time out with this $1200 plus investment and when packing it away after a great day at the beach a gust of wind on a day with 20 to 26 knot winds took it and filliped it over the vehicle like it was made of plastic. the heavy duty brackets bend like nothing on earth and the back support that the awning folds up against twisted like cardboard.… Read more
We had put the pole in during the day as a precaution only as the wind was nothing alarming and we hadn't used them in simular conditions the first outing with it. It was just unbelievable how easily it buckled up considering the hype about it being so strong. The place where it was purchased looked at it and said they would give us new brackets but we had to pay the freight, they also said the rest of the awning was fine, however when we took it off to install the new brackets we found the whole back support section twisted also. The company when we contacted them said sorry no warranty for wind damage and we should have it pegged down, hello at some stage when packing up you remove the pole. They asked for pictures so they could tell us what parts we needed to buy to fix it, $1200 worth of worthless kit. after all the videos of people driving around with these things open saying how great they are, its just the biggest disappointment you could have in a product that really does not stand up as promised. I would gladly accept part blame if the wind was blowing a gale, but seriously it was a great summers day at the beach ruined with the sickening thought of such a huge waste of money. very disappointed the company just used the no warranty due to wind damage cop out without asking more questions as well. Other brands out there and from what I have seen less money for from all reports a better product.
Fantastic Design, Easy to use – I began building a pop-up camper to fit the tray on my 4x4 Nissan Navara with the intent of doing remote area touring in retirement. I researched many different awnings assessed on price configuration and style, I watched videos and read reviews. I decided on the 30 second awning based on: area covered, ease of erection, ease of furling,… Read more
quality of product and cost.
Ordered the 30 Second Wing Awning from an E Bay supplier, it arrived on time and I had to wait until the camper was finished to try it out.
My wife and I, a retired couple, have just completed a remote area tour.
The awning was just fantastic and everything we wished for.
It lives up to its name. I could deploy the awning on my own within the 30 seconds claimed, a little longer if it needed tying down. Furling it on my own takes a little longer, fully a minute and a half which is much quicker than even many side-pull awnings I have observed.
So convenient to use, we would deploy it even for a lunch stop so the solar panels could continue charging our fridge/ lighting battery and we could relax in shade.
If I build another camper to fit a new 4WD tray back utility I have bought, I will buy another 30 Second Wing Awning.
I consider it rates 5 stars in every category of: coverage, convenience, cost and overall quality.
