1 Lisa  · Once a fantastic product. Now useless. Has anyone found a good alternative product?
1 Didi  · Shi# product – My family photos that are irreplaceable have smashed by falling off the walls. Why is this product still on the market. False advertising
1 Georgina  · Absolute Rubbish – Within 10 days picture had fallen off wall, Removing sticky pad gas completely damaged my wall. Complete waste of money
1 Dale Shears  · Crap product – 2 days 2 pictures followed instructions and not overloaded. Both now smashed glass frames and ruined pictures. Not happy at all
1 Emma S  · Not Damage Free! – Be warned! Even without having access weight on these hooks, the backing can rip the paint off the walls! Not recommended in rentals!

I don’t know how they can even be on the shelves for sale . They can barely hold anything other than a small kitchen towel without falling off. I’ve spent so much money on different types of variety but every single one has either snapped off or fallen off after about a few weeks . I counted 6 broken ones and I’m the id*ot who keeps trusting the… Read more

next one will work! It’s definitely false advertising. Unless you want to hang a tissue , don’t buy them.

I do not recommend this product on plaster because over time it’s an absolute pain to remove. The adhesive ripped off completely before I could get the hooks off , only to find the plaster came off too. Now I have to sand and completely paint the wall , all for the expense of hooks that don’t come off as easy as promised. - What a Joke from 3m !!… Read more

Do not waste your time or money to repair ! Better to install traditional hooks, then at least you would only have a tiny hole to patch up !

This product could not hold up a wet paper towel. Maybe it works in colder climates because the moment summer hits and the humidity starts, my framed pieces begin dropping like flies. It doesn’t matter if it’s the hook or the picture hanging strips. Every time I think maybe this batch will be better they fool me just long enough to buy more. The… Read more

longest any have lasted is a couple of weeks and that is with multiple hooks and following every instruction.

This Command hook is genuinely useless. I would be better off hammering a nail into the wall because it would probably do less damage in the long run. At this point I am back to unframed pieces and Blu Tack like a teenager in the 90s.

This is a terrible product. I had these for a few months so I could use them at a later date. I tried to use them today and the Velcro has come out of the backing!! Glad I didn't hang any pictures using this

Absolute garbage! False advertising! – Bought these as we rent and didnt want to leave any holes in the walls. About a year later I needed to remove one and went to pull the tab to remove it. It came off with paint and part of the wall!!!! After reading all the other reviews on here I am sure all the others I have used will do the same thing!!! IfI wanted a permanent attachment then I… Read more

DO NOT USE THESE PRODUCTS AND BE LEFT WITH THE REPAIR BILL! – Just like so many others have had command products ruin their walls as I see now, a command broom gripper has destroyed my wall. Wall is nicely painted, stuck the gripper to the wall, put a broom in it. Pulled it out a few times then today pulling it out the whole broom gripper suddenly came away with the broom, leaving me to now foot the bill to… Read more

repair this. First time I've ever used any of these sticky products as I never trusted them, but finally was convinced at Bunnings to give these a go - and now I'm one of the many that will actively warn others away from these. Disgusting they sell these and leave so many with repair bills due to their products not working as advertised, and I will be getting my money back for the product from Bunnings!

Read Instructions! NO Hooks To Hang Pictures – Command Hooks are not for hanging pictures and this is clearly stated on the pack. There is a Command Picture and Frame Hanging Range (green wave of colour through the packaging front, says 'PICTURE & FRAME HANGING on the front and shows you a picture of the type of frame intended to be used for the product in the pack).

Excellent – Don’t believe the negative reviews, these products are fantastic. I started using them over 15 years ago. I have moved many times, painted or reorganised prints and not once have I caused any wall damage. My sister removed one once, and didn’t do it properly, and damaged the wall. If you do it as instructed, it works properly every time. In… Read more

response to things falling off walls... I have often used 2 or 3 hooks for larger canvases and prints just to be sure. I once had some small prints fall off, but cleaned the walls with alcohol wipes and had no more issues. Highly recommend them. At the moment I have about 20 artworks being held up with these hooks and I also use some of the storage items like the broom holders.

Works as expected – I don't know what everyone is whinging about. This product does what it's supposed to do. It sticks to the surface and does not let go. If paint comes off the wall, then adhesion between paint and the material underneath was not powerful enough. Why do you keep blaming 3M? I have used these hooks to attach virtually anything to tiles, and I can tell you they hold on to the tiles like their life depends on it.

ABSOLUTE RUBBISH. I tried the curtain hangers, I followed the instructions exactly and a month later they have fallen off. These hooks are extremely expensive and absolutely useless. Do not waste your money

Rubbish is the only word. If I could give 0 or minus stars, I would! I’ve tried different types i.e. Hooks, Stripes, Heavy Duty Stripes however they come off, slide downwards. We moved into new house, followed all the instructions and used hooks/stripes that could apparently hold 4 times its weight, within hours/days/months it fell off the wall! I… Read more

am worried about all my painting, god statues on the wall. They are neither cheap not durable. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM BUYING, NOT AT ALL WORTH.

Biggest piece of sh1t ever. The amount of times these seem to last only 2-3 months MAX. As most renters or maybe those who are not comfortable drilling into walls etc, these are really the only choice many have left. You’d think them price these are sold for they would actually work and not destroy your art, photo frames etc. I tent to buy the… Read more

ones that can hold the highest weight just as a precaution. Middle of the night my farmed art smashes to the ground. Bear in mind this piece is no heavier than say 4kg max. I used at least 6! Of the heavy duty ones but no….. my expensive frame is now busted with dents and chips!

This is also not the first time these have NOT lasted or have even ripped off paint from the walls, despite following their instructions.

Stay away people, you’d do less damage drilling a screw into the wall than using this crap! Just look at the reviews!

Rubbish product. Starting falling off the walls after just a few days with minimal weights. Don't do what I did. I read these reviews and then thought "well sticky hooks have worked for me in the past so I'll ignore all the one star reviews."

Totally Unprofessional Communications System! – Has anyone attempted to contact Command 3M? It's a joke, totally unprofessional. Numerous times I tried to message them via their website, no messages would go through, numerous times I tried their 1800 phone number, it doesn't exist, FINALLY, I called their Queensland branch, explained myself to the lady in India, she requested I send her an email to her personal email address, not a chance!!!!

Avoid product!! – The damage they do to your walls will cost you hundreds to repair! Worst product ever! Avoid. And don’t waste your time contacting their customer ‘service’ as they will not help you as it’s all your fault and not their product!

Waste of money – Followed instructions, waited 2hrs from the hook going on the wall to hanging small ornament for it to fall off the wall only hours later. Discovered the sticky pad is actually hardly sticky at all. Absolute waste of money on a garbage product.

Do NOT spend money on these – Followed the directions to a T and guess what, the thing I hung just fell off the wall. It managed to stay there for a few weeks then I heard a crash, and off the wall it came. There was only very light stuff in it too. This product is next to useless and worst, it's expensive uselessness I would give it a minus 2 rating but you cant

Hopeless product made 3 expensive pictures drop – I followed the instructions to the letter, cleaned with alcohol, as directed, and pressed on hard to seal the bond. I even bought the stronger stickers 7 kg for 2 kg paintings. Three have dropped off in 15 minutes. Smashing them to bits, read the warranty and it said there’s no replacement or damage products though if you write them and complain… Read more

they may consider replacing the sticker! This companies is outrageous for selling these products and continuing to pretend they work. Off to Bunnings tomorrow to get nail in the wall hooks !

Wrecked my walls. A nail works better – Ripped the paint and plaster off my walls when removed. Absolutely disgusted by this product as it does the opposite of what it advertises. Should be removed from the market place. It's easier to patch up a hole from a nail. Avoid at all costs!

Absolute garbage – I've unfortunately used these products before and thought that I would have learn my lesson back then but decided to see if they had improved somewhat, big mistake, even the lightest picture with fall off the wall even after following all the directions. DO NOT USE THESE USELESS THINGS IF YOU VALUE YOUR ARTWORK.

Damaged my newly (6 months) painted wall – Put a small plastic wreath on the wall last Christmas with a light weight Command hook. After Christmas attempted to remove the hook. It had adhered so strongly I had to use 2 hands. I kept stopping each time it started to give so as not to damage the wall. After approximately 15 mins of stopping and starting, and a cramping hand, it suddenly… Read more

gave way pulling the paint and paper layer of plasterboard off the wall. I purchased a bulk lot so now I'm using them up inside cupboard doors or on surfaces that they can't damage.

There should be a command to stop them selling this rubbish product – I am bitterly disappointed in your picture hanging products. I have bought many packs of Large kits to hold 7.2kg, Your advertising states Removes Cleanly, No Marks, Holds Strongly. What utter rubbish! I have several examples of pictures well under the weight specified, falling off walls and damaging the frames and in 2 instances they have fallen… Read more

on guitars damaging them. As for removing cleanly, No matter how softly we try to remove the sticky mess the paint peels off with the stickers, meaning we have to repaint walls. Your product is a sham and clearly does not meet the brief you claim. Needless to say I will never buy or recommend this product again. Yours in angry disappointment, David Smith

quality is no longer there. Epic fail! – We have been using these hooks for many years without a problem. Have moved homes and brought new hooks. What a disaster! None of them will hold and stick. No matter what you hang on them. I will never ever be buying this product again.

Worst product do not buy – There is a reason there 1 star rating has such low reviews. Worst product! Damages the walls, broke our frames that were not cheap and the technical manager resolution was to send us a video of how to install. I DONT WANT A VIDEO I WANT A PRODUCT THAT WORKS. Lucky no one was injured

DO NOT BUY! Command hooks don't stick, they suck! – Used command on my wall, when I took it off carefully following instructions it took a large chunk of paint off my wall. Purposely bought this so I wouldn't need to damage my walls. Would have preferred a nail hole than paint off my wall.

Do not do it!!!! – If you value your wall treatment, DO NOT YSE THESE. I prepped the surface as directed. I removed the product as directed. Now I have a huge chunk of paint missing from my wall. Absolutely does not live up to their claims.

Space of a week every single picture had fallen of the wall. Do not waste your money. Complete useless crap.

Just rubbish – Do not use these if you want to save yourself a lot of work. They end up damaging your plaster walls with either the sticky backing impossible to remove or ripping off the plaster while trying to remove them. Use good old fashioned nails. Can't believe they're allowed to sell such rubbish. Also , eventually the adhesive dries up and your item falls on the floor .
