nobody can find my order. I have contacted them multiple times and each time I am told somebody will call me back that day and nobody does. So they have basically taken my money and appear to have no intention of delivering my sofa. I am going to go to the Office of Fair Trading to lodge a complaint.

The issue that lets them down is longevity bought 8 pairs within a year 2 were in the bin when they ripped at the seams, and now another pair needs to go. Looking at comments on Reddit quality has dropped in the last few years which is a real shame, the cynic in me says to get people to buy more often.

the faults experienced. Was rung next day to be informed service person would attend next day. Service person arrived and spent over a hour to fault find leaving chair foot fully extended. Unable to find the cause he said he would be back the next day. [Name Removed] turned up next day and found the issue He fully tested the features and he gave advice on use and care. He was the best experience of the whole process. Had it been just dealing with him the satisfaction would have resulted in a better score.

Joel was an excellent communicator, completely transparent in all aspects of the process and was able to obtain a very good price for us. He responded efficiently to any queries and was friendly and approachable in his manner.

damaged and faulty.

I contacted Freedom Furniture and what should have been a straightforward resolution turned into a long and frustrating back-and-forth with customer service. I was repeatedly asked to provide photographs of the damage, packaging and other evidence. I spent a significant amount of time taking photographs, documenting the problem, corresponding with customer service and dealing with the return process.

Freedom Furniture eventually offered me several options: a $90 electronic voucher, a $60 partial refund, a replacement, or a replacement bed head. I had already purchased another bed, so a replacement was no longer suitable. I therefore requested a full refund to my original payment method.

The response I received was extremely disappointing. Freedom Furniture stated that they were unable to approve a full refund because they had assessed the damage as "minor". Despite all the evidence and photographs I had provided, they continued to offer only the partial refund, voucher or replacement options.

What frustrates me most is that I paid for a new product and received one that was damaged, yet I have had to spend so much time proving the problem and negotiating with customer service to try to obtain a reasonable resolution.

I am now taking the matter further through the appropriate consumer protection channels because I do not believe the issue has been fairly resolved.

I am writing this review to warn other customers about my experience. The problem wasn't simply receiving a damaged product; things can go wrong with any retailer. What matters is how a company handles the problem afterwards. In my experience, Freedom Furniture's after-sales process was unnecessarily difficult, time-consuming and frustrating.

I hope Freedom Furniture improves its quality control and, more importantly, the way it handles customers who receive faulty products.

Now the matter is going to VCAT to find a resolution.
