48 hours post the test, the lady answered my call was very rude and questioned why I followed up as the PCR results can take more than 3 working days (but I was advised by my doctor that results should be available within 24 hours). After waited for another 3 days, I had to call them again to follow up again as no result was sent to me. When I was finally connected to the call centre, again, staff were impatient and simply said 'oh yeah, someone made a mistake when entering my mobile number to their system' - I even double confirmed my mobile number with 4Cyte when I called the first time, and yet they still got it wrong. Definitely not going back to 4Cyte anymore as they are hopeless

Spoke to 134298 main number. The person I spoke to Michelle was so rude and every time I spoke in plain unbroken English she just kept telling me to hold on almost like she didn't understand what I was saying. doctor's name to the copy two section of the pathology form, Will it go to him?" And her response was "he's on the database now". Because of her series of ridiculous questions after I answered them 20 times previously I asked her to answer the question exactly so that I don't have to chase up the pathology reports and I said that didn't answer my question. She replied"well it does actually" To which I replied due to her bad manners throughout the whole phone call "look I don't want to get into an arguement with you I just want to know yes or no... Will future pathology reports go directly to my doctor from now on?" Her answer was yes.... (finally) Obviously people like Michelle shouldn't have customer-facing roles because it's too much stress for her to answer a simple question and add a name to a database. She even mentioned that she doesn't want somebody else to go through the s*** that she went through to get a doctor's name onto the database.

Extremely unprofessional and if I were her she would miss the written warnings and go straight to go see him subordination and be fired.

Absolutely disgusting and as a result I do not recommend 4Cyte to anyone suffering any medical issues because you're under enough stress as it is and you don't need to do with people like this when just trying to get a simple answer.

If I could give zero stars I would.

their support team via email. I received written confirmation from two different staff members stating that my insurance was accepted and the tests would be covered.

Despite having this proof and presenting my insurance details on the day, I have now received an invoice for $390.40 from a debt collection agency (Customer Reminder Services). This is a clear failure in their internal communication and billing process.

It is frustrating to have to waste time resolving the same 'error' that was already admitted by them in the past. If you are an international student or have private insurance, be very careful—their administration does not seem to respect the agreements made by their own support team.

I am still waiting for this to be rectified.

Incredibly slow nurse. Wait times up to 1 hour absolutely ridiculous Either a second nurse needs to be employed or some time management skills need to be released. I have never waited so very long for a blood test. I won't be using this centre ever again

Wentworthville: The staff member at the pathology service displayed unprofessional behaviour that made me feel uncomfortable. I found the interaction inappropriate and concerning, and it did not meet the expected standards of respectful and professional conduct.

Never using again. Blood test 24/3/24. Invoiced 11/8/25 (while in hospital). In Sept 25, it went to a credit collection company who charged my (new) card without permission. This charge was picked up by the bank when going for a home loan! For $60! Appalling.

DON'T GO HERE. My husband took a post vasectomy semen sample in, which they accepted. Called them 3 days later and they told me they dont accept semen samples, so it was sent to Melbourne. So now the results wont be accurate and we wasted time and money. They were no help when we called to try to get answers. Appealing service.

My advice DO NOT get ur bloods or anything else to be tested by 4Cyte especially if u want correct/results on time sent to ur DR. U CAN TAKE UR FORM & U GET FROM UR DR TO GET TESTED FROM ANY LABORATORY.

While I have now paid the account, this experience was stressful and could have been avoided with timely billing and proper follow-up. I hope the practice improves their administrative processes to prevent similar issues for other patients.

If I could do a zero star I would have done that. Very incompetent attendant who was moving the needle in the vein after putting it in. My blood did not stop even after few hours. Very painful and unempathetic behaviour by the staff at Out Medical Centre, Marsden Park. Avoid them!!!

Massive compliments to Maria and Nadia at Yandina 4Cyte. My little 2 year old had to get bloods done (mama was freaking out) but these ladies made the whole process a breeze and absolutely NO TEARS from my boy- thankyou superheros!!

I hold a Centrelink concession card and would never have agreed to anything that wasn’t covered. When I called the number on the bill, I was met with scripted, aggressive responses from three different staff members. All told me to “just pay it off now to avoid escalation” and claimed Medicare would rebate me. One even hung up on me while I was mid-panic attack, and another talked over me repeatedly, ignoring my distress and valid questions.

Only after pushing did one rep admit Medicare would only cover 40–70%—meaning I’d still be left paying a large amount. I checked the item numbers on the invoice myself: they’re all MBS-eligible, yet I was charged far more than the standard rate.

**This is not bulk billing**—it’s mixed billing, with inflated prices and no informed consent. The whole experience was predatory, misleading, and distressing.

Do NOT go to 4Cyte Pathology. If you’re vulnerable, on a concession, or simply expect transparency, you could easily find yourself in the same situation—surprised with a nearly $300 bill for basic bloodwork you thought was covered.

Staff very unprofessional. She learned I'm going to have a 2 hour blood test. Started giving me attitude, making side comments and making faces. Seems like she didn't want to do her job. This person is a risk to the company. This person shouldn't be working with patients, she's very unprofessional. Came in Saturday morning 1st March - Clyde North next to Everwell Medical Centre.

Had some routine labs done a few weeks ago and since then these people have been harassing me to pay almost $1000 with no invoice of what I’m paying for. Every call with 4Cyte feel more like a hostage negotiation. This place might actually be a terrorist organisation.

I have worked in medicine for over 40 years and was extremely impressed with the communication and professionalism of the 4Cyte collector at Wilberforce Rooms. His blood collection skills were gentle and precise with no ill effects afterwards. My daughter and I will return!
