I am lodging a formal complaint about the treatment I received at 4Cyte Cranbourne West (32/36 Remount Way) on 5 September 2026 at approximately 2:40 pm. I clearly requested a smaller “baby needle” because I am afraid of pain. The collector agreed. She then used a standard adult needle without telling me. After the blood was taken, I asked if it… Read more

was a baby needle. She said it was a normal needle and that they only use smaller needles in specific situations. When I explained that other pathology providers accommodate this request, she told me: “If you want to use a baby needle then you should go to other pathology place.” This was unprofessional and disrespectful. I was given an assurance that was ignored, and my legitimate request was dismissed. I expect an investigation, a clear response about your policy on smaller needles, and confirmation of what action will be taken. Please acknowledge this complaint and provide a formal reply.

Chisholm ACT Centre Unprofessional. FALSE ADVERTISING ON BILLING REPORTED TO ACCC: accc-scamwatch:1294879 – Went for PCR test with my Son (both symptomatic) as I am high risk and my other son was at home with Positive PCR confirmed Covid. Advertisement on Facebook on 4Cyte's page for "Combined Flu Season PCR Testing" STATES "Symptomatic Patients Bulk Billed". At the testing site I was given instructions that I would receive a referral from a GP so… Read more

that I there would be NO charge for the test as I was symptomatic. Email referral was received and test carried out. Later that same day I had to have a telehealth with my own GP regarding anti-virals (YES I was THAT sick). Results came back negative the next day. Three weeks later I received an Invoice for $120 for my test!! I have tried to contact them by phone to no avail, so I had emailed them stating that I have all the proof including screenshots of their advertisement and that I will not under any circumstances pay their invoice. I started getting text msgs from different mobile phone numbers from their so called Debt Collectors regarding this invoice, no one there wants to answer the phone either, so I emailed them too. Today I get another text from their debt collectors on the same number 4Cyte used. IF you happen to be reading this 4Cyte you can take my Invoice up with the ACCC as I have already reported your blatant false advertising back in August: accc-scamwatch:1294879

Running a scam?? – Went to a COVID clinic run by 4Cyte Pathology in August 2021, when COVID testing was free in Queensland. Was not informed of any fees or costs. SIX MONTHS LATER, we get a bill for $120. I tried calling 4Cyte multiple times, but they NEVER answer their phone – I just sat on-hold indefinitely. I tried emailing 4Cyte, but they NEVER reply to emails.… Read more

Payment was due on 27/04/22, but 4Cyte turned us over to collections BEFORE the due date!

When my husband called 4Cyte, he had to pretend to be a doctor in order to get a human being to answer the phone. The manager he spoke with assured him that the bill was a mistake, and she said she would notify the collections agency to stop bothering us. She told him that she would send him a confirmation email for our records. The email NEVER came. When my husband tried calling 4Cyte again, they didn't fall for the doctor trick, so they put him back into on-hold hell. Fast forward to today, and 4Cyte has the collection agency calling us AGAIN for the same invoice that they said was a mistake.

We call and we call, but no one at 4Cyte ever answers the phone. They are an absolute disgrace for taking advantage of people during the pandemic. And from the number of the complaints on this page, they absolutely need to be investigated.

The worst for patients to get answers. Calling their phone they don't pickup patient's calls, only doctors. They are rude on the phone, they hang up on you if you ask for their name. And [Name Removed] is the worst person of them all.

The 4Cyte app confirmed my appointment to be fitted with a holter montor at the Chevron Island office. bars so parking was difficult and finding the Surfers 4Cyte office was a nightmare. There is no signage that I could see. Eventually I asked another shop for directions. I was then fitted with the holter monitor.

So on the next day I rang the 4Cyte contact number and talked to the receptionist. I told her I wanted to deliver the device back to a more large vehicle friendly parking office. She asked her manager if that was OK and I was given the advice that it was OK to do so.

When I attended the Chevron branch the Chevron Island operator rang the central office to confirm that it was OK to return the device to a different branch and she was told that it was NOT OK.

The central office operator/supervisor was quite aggressive and didn't listen when I outlined what had happened and that I had been told that it was OK to deliver the device back to another site. She then accused me of being offensive. I was not.

So 4Cyte you put me on a path of failure: 1. Faulty confirmation of an online booking 2. Sending me to a difficult place to access 3. Gave me markedly different advice several times. 4. Aggressive comunications

Got a Holter monitor report done for 24 hour recording. We got back one small paragraph with about than one line of useful feedback after finding a rare event/synptoms. I requested the full report. I called several times, both myself, the patient and the clinic and customer service still has not sent the doctor the full report. I also called personally after being instructed by my clinic to do so and 4Cyte said I can’t access my full report. WTH!

It is always nice to leave a positive review after a good experience, or benefit from other people’s positive experiences. Unfortunately this review does not fall into either category. I was referred by my GP to have 24 hour B/P monitoring fitted . No answer for two days at the GP provided number for 4Cyte. When I eventually got through I was told… Read more

that they could not do B/P monitoring there and I should go to the online site to make a booking at another location. I tried to do this but the web site appeared to be either freezing or crashing. I tried this several times to no avail so I phoned the help line. After waiting in a call queue for around 15 minutes on two occasions and hanging up I eventually got through to a person who advised me to try the online booking again in a few hours. I made the booking and turned up on the day in advance of my appointment time and went into the building, a converted private dwelling, and there was no one at the reception desk. I waited there for > 10 minutes and still no sign of staff but eventually one of the other health care practitioners appeared from a room with a patient. She helped me by taking me round to the waiting area and telling to take a number from the box and wait. On entry to the clinical room the 4Cyte staff member said she couldn’t fit the 24 hour B/P monitor but on further questioning decided she could. I raised the issue of no signage to direct patients to follow the queueing protocol and the numerous aspects of being messed around I’d experienced in order to accomplish a simple referral. I think that her comment of ‘that’s just the way it is” was both unhelpful and inappropriate. She also maintained that relevant instructions were on the front door. I have re-checked both front and back doors and no such signage exists. As you may appreciate none of this is conducive to maintaining a blood pressure within my current normal limits. One off glitches can be explained but my experience goes beyond that so I think some quality review is urgently needed on 4Cyte’s part.

4cyte overcharged my clienta after bungling a test repeatedly. The test should have been $95 and they charged $270 on the 20/4. Its now 9/6 and we are still trying to get the refund. At this point its clear they they are delibrately witholding her funds. Its theft.

Would leave a zero star review if there is such option. Horrible experience at 4Cyte Pathology, Contact centre staff (13 42 98) were very unprofessional when I followed up with them for the delay of getting my testing results. 48 hours post the test, the lady answered my call was very rude and questioned why I followed up as the PCR results can take more than 3 working days (but I was advised by my doctor that results should be available within 24 hours). After waited for another 3 days, I had to call them again to follow up again as no result was sent to me. When I was finally connected to the call centre, again, staff were impatient and simply said 'oh yeah, someone made a mistake when entering my mobile number to their system' - I even double confirmed my mobile number with 4Cyte when I called the first time, and yet they still got it wrong. doctor's name to the copy two section of the pathology form, Will it go to him?" And her response was "he's on the database now". Because of her series of ridiculous questions after I answered them 20 times previously I asked her to answer the question exactly so that I don't have to chase up the pathology reports and I said that didn't answer my question. She replied"well it does actually" To which I replied due to her bad manners throughout the whole phone call "look I don't want to get into an arguement with you I just want to know yes or no... Will future pathology reports go directly to my doctor from now on?" Her answer was yes.... (finally) Obviously people like Michelle shouldn't have customer-facing roles because it's too much stress for her to answer a simple question and add a name to a database. She even mentioned that she doesn't want somebody else to go through the s*** that she went through to get a doctor's name onto the database.

Extremely unprofessional and if I were her she would miss the written warnings and go straight to go see him subordination and be fired.

Absolutely disgusting and as a result I do not recommend 4Cyte to anyone suffering any medical issues because you're under enough stress as it is and you don't need to do with people like this when just trying to get a simple answer.

If I could give zero stars I would.

I am extremely disappointed with the billing department at 4Cyte Pathology. For the second time (first in 2024 and now in March 2026), I have been incorrectly invoiced for services that should have been bulk-billed to my health insurance (Bupa OSHC). Before my appointment at the Newstead collection centre, I took the precaution of contacting… Read more

their support team via email. I received written confirmation from two different staff members stating that my insurance was accepted and the tests would be covered.

Despite having this proof and presenting my insurance details on the day, I have now received an invoice for $390.40 from a debt collection agency (Customer Reminder Services). This is a clear failure in their internal communication and billing process.

It is frustrating to have to waste time resolving the same 'error' that was already admitted by them in the past. If you are an international student or have private insurance, be very careful—their administration does not seem to respect the agreements made by their own support team.

I am still waiting for this to be rectified.
