I’ve had an issue with being charged twice and then canceling the service only to receive a charge on my account again. I have tried to resolve the issue with Acorn but the last I heard from them was on 25/2/26. Customer service are terrible if you have any issues. Prime and then go on to download the app you will be charged again. Once by Prime and once with Acorn, same email address!

if you get signed out, it takes acorn all damned day to find your email address, password and account information, then it takes the rest of the damned day for them to click on activate. they cannot keep account information straight to save themselves.

Would be a negative star if possible. Whatever you do don't sign up. They have been charging me for a subscription that ended in 2022 and I can't cancel it. Have to change banks to stop the payment coming out. Worst experience ever

Had a few good shows but unsubscribing is impossible – Impossible to unsubscribe even when you talk to somebody by their chat service, who then tells you that they have cancelled your account. I would have been charged my subscription fee if the money had been in my bank account. The unsubscribe link on their website doesn't work either (would make unsubscribing a lot easier if it did). over 100 mbs and streams from every other service I have faultlessly, and at a much higher resolution than Acorn offer. I’ve decided to bail out now but after reading all the reviews here, that seems to be impossible. If anyone reads this and has a thought on how to improve the buffer problem, or the problem with canceling, please let me know. I’ve emailed Acorn but so far have received no response.

My problem with Acorn TV (Australia) is that shows advertised as new arrivals often do not appear in Australia, whereas they may appear in US or UK. problem is bandwidth. Streaming frequently stalls, and the dreaded rotating arrowed circle appears - somtimes occurs 20 or more times in a 1 hr program. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER, and provide proper service to Australian subscribers.

I am trying to cancel my subscription for Acorn Tv and cannot. I follow all instructions but come to a dead end. My recommendation is to not subscribe as it's impossible to leave Be warned

We found acorn limited but had shows we wanted to watch. I decided to cancel my subscription. Acorn did say if I went through a 3rd party I would have to cancel it there. My 3rd party was google. It wasn’t straight forward and I did go round and round a bit but I got there in the end without cancelling my credit card.

Don't bother unless they fix issues – Content is limited. We wanted a series on Brokenwood, but NinePlus has them all. Chromecast / Cast impossible to use Used to be on Fetch TV as an app, but then that disappeared, and Casting just would not work.

Don’t bother subscribing – Not worthwhile subscribing to. Wrote an earlier review about a missing season of Balthazar Lots of emails telling me that Acorn was resolving the problem. Nothing has happened. Have cancelled my subscription. Poor service from this streaming channel. Waste of money. Not a lot of choices in shows. Maybe that’s why it is cheap. No problems with Netflix or Britbox.

Subscribed paid the fee. Logged in and promptly sent me to Acorntv. No season 4. Didn’t know these two streamers were connected. Am unsubscribing this month. After reading these reviews I will see if I am cancelled permanently. Disappointed

SCAM - do not buy their subscription – A genuine scam, they do not let you cancel services and then ignore your requests to cancel via email. The only way out is to cancel credit card.

A Total waste of money!!!!! – They say there’s a new series every week but it’s nonsense. Is the worst of the worst streaming channel ever. Some of the shows are so old my grandmother watched them 30 years ago. Acorn TV is B for nonsense not Brilliant!!!

not being able to finish a series as no subtitles – I have been very happy Acorn until now. The series Paradise is terrific and I watched the entire first series. Unfortunately from episode 3 on in second series there are no English subtitles so cannot finish watching. Disappointed. Anne Melbourne Australia

Impossible to Cancel Subscription – Absolutely furious, spent hours trying to cancel my subscription and it’s impossible. None of the advice works. I agree with others that they are no better than scammers. Avoid them.

Don't sign up for free membership – Signed up for free trial, & attempted unsuccessfully to cancel online within trial period. DON’T SUBSCRIBE TO ACORN TV – Impossible to cancel my monthly subscription even when following their explicit site instructions. Acorn will not reply to you if you contact them. Contacted my bank who say that only way out is to get a new card which will then nullify my bank details that Acorn currently hold. What a hassle!

number from Australia to try to resolve the issue. Finally, I tried to apply the gift to myself by creating an account with the gift code. I got a message saying I already had an account (which I never created) so I managed to log into my account and then I tried to apply the gift code and got the error that the code was not found. I would have given zero stars but 1 star was the lowest allowed. To me Acorn TV acts as a scam. I strongly recommend that nobody subscribe to Acorn TV.

got a response after nearly two weeks saying “your account has been cancelled. I thought “thank goodness”. I then woke up this morning to a pending charge from acorn TV for AU$6.99 for a monthly subscription, and went to support. They started off by saying that due to terms of service, they cant do refunds, but i kept pushing, and in the end they said they would process a refund. Long story short, don’t even use acorn TV, and if you do but don’t want to be charged and end up being charged, just push really hard for a refund, and they should process it eventually.

Worst experience ever – Acorn are thieves. I cancelled my subscription in 2020 and they are still debiting my account. I have sent emails and no reply. They are scammers. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THEM!!! They have been given a star because I have no choice.

had to resort to cancelling their credit card, which I don't want to do. No matter how good the programs are, they're not worth the hassle when it comes to cancellation.

And you will have to cancel, because while the programs are good, they rarely add new ones, so you will run out of things to watch after a few months.

We were with Britbox before we joined Acorn and had no problems with Britbox.

SHONKS!!! – Cancelled the subscription and they acknowledged the cancellation AND kept taking the subscription from the direct debit. It didn't matter how many times we contacted them they replied that the matter ahd been fixed and the case closed. We ended up having to cancel thecredit card. We cancelled the subscription due to poor quality of shows and abissmal transmision quality.

Absolutely Woeful – I just signed up for the 7 day free trial offer through my Optus Fetch service. shows that had enticed me, were not available. I sent off an email and decided I’d find something to watch on there while I waited for a response. Absolutely impossible to watch anything. Constant flickering and fading to black for 2 seconds every 15 or so seconds. This service is a scam and I will be taking it up with Optus as well. I have sent the email to immediately cancel my subscription, but judging on the other reviews here, I’m not hopeful it will be successful. PS. I only gave 1 star because you can’t give a big fat zero.

what a rip off , only gave 1 star because it would'nt let me submit this with out one – EASY TO PUT ON IMPOSSIBLE TO UNSCRIBE. i found out that they were taking 2 lots of money every month. was cut of two weeks ago. went into my acorn account lots off times to canel, but they are still taking 2 lots of money. Murdoch mysteries – Acorn has season 11 to 15 on acorn Australia but comes up with this is not available in Australia...why??? We pay for this service and can't view this content...not happy
