Bug, Bugs, And More Bugs (With Abysmal Support) – The level of support is abysmal when you have a problem restoring a failed system and require technical support. Bug, bugs, and more bugs :-( 1. Bugs in the software. The Acronis ‘Universal Restore Media’ gives the ‘black screen of death’ error. Which from a basic Google search appears to be a commonly experienced bug in the software. 2. Bugs in the public support forum system. Trying to create a new public support forum topic in the online forum results in ‘internal server error 500’ when trying to add attachments.
3. Bugs in the support ticket system. Trying to create a new support ticket results in the error ‘Form submit error:’. Giving absolutely no indication of what the error might be or how to correct the problem.
Terrible support – The Acronis Cyber protect product is one of the best presented and functional protection products in th e market. Unfortunately, it is let down by poor or nonexistent support. In particular our experience on two occasions in a little over two weeks has been hopeless. Acronis touts itself as one of the most comprehensive backup solutions available but when the "rubber meets the road" it fails to do its job. Backing up is one thing but the purpose of a backup is to be able to restore the backed-up data, and when this fails and support cares less to assist in trouble shooting, both of the issues we were confronted with, then why would you even consider the product. It provides a completely false sense of Secuity, thinking that you have a recovery solution when in fact you don't. We have now begun the process of re-sourcing other solutions. In our view Acronis have ripped us off to the tune of almost $10000. I believe our issue could have been solved with the assistance of a qualified technician, regretfully Acronis appears not to be interested in supporting their product,
