iced up and needed to defrost itself. During that extended defrosting period (15 minutes or longer), the internal house temperature dropped 4 degrees, enough to make us feel uncomfortable. So, while the system works fine normally, it is failing us when we need it most. We'll be talking to our installers but it would seem sensible if the unit was able to prevent itself from icing up in the first place.
