Adelaide Independent Taxis

Booked a taxi for an important medical appointment and they never showed. After calling the operator they still couldn’t find a driver for the next 20 minutes. I cancelled the booking and missed my medical appointment. I’m disabled and unable to catch public transport. Previously I was left stranded at the dental hospital and had to ask another patient for a ride home. Horrible service!

On Easter Saturday picked up 10 am from Reynella East The Braes to Hallet. Cove the driver was excellent he returned to pick us up at 4.10 he unloaded walkers and shopping to door very satisfied

The worst taxi service in the state,having booked an Adelaide independent taxi for 12-30 i was still waiting 45 minutes later with no sign of it being dispatched,

I caught a taxi from this service at a rank outside casino. Taxi driver became abusive because he said I didn’t give him my address which I did. When I got out of the taxi at my destination I suggested that he try being nicer to his next passengers. He told me to screw off. I am a 63 year old woman. I’ve never been spoken to like that before in my life. Never using this service again

Very unreliable and their call centre has been consistently rude. We thought the first was just an isolated case but the next two calls for different bookings, their operators were still rude and unhelpful. Don't rely on this cab company for your transport needs. Despite booking hours ahead, they still failed to assign a taxi to me and I ended up booking a cab through a different company. Show details

No kindness here – Caught in the 41C heat with no bus arriving for 30 mins (thanks, Adelaide Metro), I decided to hang the expense and call a taxi. Absolute disgrace & your driver is a scammer – Your driver refused to accept my mum's transport subsidy card so she had to pay the full fare. Contacted the company, & of course no response.

I would rather walk – My experience regarding my contact with Adelaide Independent Taxis has been as follows. Dismissive and ineffective action regarding complaints. Problems with attitude. Immature & arrogant behaviour. Highly unprofessional. Disrespectful and mysogenistic.

Do not use this taxi service – Unfortunately I took a taxi from Adelaide Airport to my home with Independent Taxis during the Microsoft Blue Screen outage on Friday the 19th. thinking that the outage was causing this issue I said to the driver it’s not going to work but he insisted I try again and once again had to use my pin and it went through. I checked both banks on Wednesday the 24th as I read an article about taxi drivers overseas using the same decline/pin method to scam customers and I had been charged 3 times. I rang the head office and spoke to a person in the complaints department who said they haven’t received the money and they don’t know where it has gone and he will call me back when the funds arrive. I spoke to both banks and they said the money has gone to Independent Taxis so next step is the Ombudsman. Do not use this Company. They either have dodgy drivers, or don’t care.

Train your phone Operators – Poor service booked a maxi cab by phone, 2 weeks before the day required, they phoned 5 mins before pick up; Maxi not available only sedan. Worst experience ever, customer assistance no better! – I called for a taxi and as it was a short fare ended up waiting over 3/4 of an hour with still no taxi in sight. Eventually another person at the vets offered me a lift once her consult was over. minutes away from where I was so it's not like there wasn't a cab nearby!

Short fares are still a friggin fare, it's still $12+ in their pocket. So over this attitude, I have cancer and my leg was broken by it, I can't walk even short distances. On top of that I SHOULDN'T have to explain myself to get a ride that I'm paying for no matter what the distance!

I will not bother to book with them if there drivers are so picky to leave people standing around waiting like this. Totally appalling!

Don't forget anything in the cabs – Got cab from a hotel to home, due to him rushing me I accidentally left my vision impairment stick in cab as I rushed to grab luggage. To try get it back was a hour long ordeal talking on ph insisting I did need my cane for seeing, finally getting it back for$10 I had to pay to get it back. It wouldn't of happened if I wasn't rushed by the driver and I have vision impairment. Annoying to have to buy it back from the taxi. Show details

Excellent service – After being left in the lurch by Suburban taxis, I phoned Adelaide Independant Taxi company, and although they were busy and it was peak period, they found me a taxi to go to my important specialist appointment. This is such a terrible cab company – I'm sick of these Indian cab drivers..they'll all scammers and parasites
