Hi Maryanne, It sounds like the LED on your inverter’s on/off switch may be malfunctioning. Since the inverter and remote are still operating normally and powering your devices, this is likely just an issue with the indicator light itself rather than the inverter’s main function.

At this stage, we recommend leaving the unit as is and not attempting to fix the LED, as opening or tampering with the inverter could accidentally cause further damage. The inverter’s performance is what’s most important, and if that continues to run fine, the LED issue is primarily cosmetic.

Hi Hans, It's hard to say without being able to see the setup directly, the two main stopping points that come to mind would be wire gauging and the continuous rated output of the battery as they're usually areas that we look at first, though beyond that I couldn't provide specifics without assessing the unit itself.

I've gone back to the cheap chinese inverter, much better unit all round.

The 120ah lithium battery does not have a sufficient amperage output to run a 1500w inverter as they are limited to a 100amp output.

I have a 3000 watt inverter and 300ah battery. But how many solar panels do I need to maintain charge? It won't even let the battery charge if the inverter is turned on and it's not even running anything..

This is just plain wrong. No way a 115 AGM will run a 3000w inverter. The max discharge of an agm is about 50 amps. The best quality agms can handle 70 amps continuos discharge. Maybe get someone who knows what they are talking about to answer these technical questions.
