Adventure Kings Single Self-Inflating Foam Mattress

This product was not what is advertised. the store to ask if I can return (the unused product) and upgrade to the more expensive mattress, I still had the original box receipts (this mattress was only a few hours out of the box). To my dismay, the lady on the phone bluntly put it - "No you cannot return it as you have opened the box", I pleaded that I don't want a refund just simply to upgrade to the more expensive mattress, still NO.

Policy clearly states Only items that are unused, in their original packaging, and in resalable condition will be eligible for return. The item I had was unused, had its original packaging and in resaleable condition.

I'll count my losses and move on, won't ever step foot into another store again and will spread the word across as many online platforms to prevent others experiencing the same.

Shame on so many levels.

The dreaded jumping castle – I wish I'd read these reviews before I purchased the mattress. I stupidly trusted a review on YouTube, which must have been a paid influencer as there is no way anyone would genuinely give this product a good review. Its not self inflating – It doesn't blow up properly, i assume the ones in the store have been pumped up with an electric pump because there is no way the one i bought is ever going to self inflate like the ones they have on display, Show details

Don’t waste your money - Not fit for purpose – Same as previous reviews three years later…First time used in our Kings RTT last night, literally slept on the floor while my wife slept on the air bubble pushed up to the side. Dandenong store within 4 days of purchase had to wait until they tested it in store after initial email from kings telling me the mattress was fine , I ask them to keep it inflated instore so I can personally see it fully inflated, within 4 hrs they emailed us for our account number for a refund, obviously the mattress was not performing as it should , definitely check reviews before purchasing from Kings

Don't go cheap, these are garbage – This mattress sounds good when reading the details on the website but when I got it home and tried it out I was so disappointed. Unsatisfactory package – I bought a package deal of a single kings swag, stretcher and self inflating matteress from 4wdsupa centre at Brendale 3 weeks ago. where the spreader bars go broke off putting it together the first time. I have set these types of stretchers up in the pass and never had this issue. The swag was good but not sure how it will stand up to a little rain as when on the stretcher it doesn't sit properly. Very disappointed overall and still no word back from the Brendale store since I rang them.

When I finally did use it I found it is NOT bonded. It is a foam mattress 'loose' inside a rectangular vinyl cover. When you lie on it you get a bubble of air at your feet. Great I supoose if you like lying with your feet above your head. By the time I did use it, the 30d change of mind return had expired so I was stuck with it ( and I had used it). Absolutely terrible – Left the mattress to self-inflate for over 6 hours despite the instructions recommending 2 hours. Felt like you were sleeping on a deflated air mattress with massive air pockets every time you moved. Thought we'd try again the second night and left to inflate all day but there was no change whatsoever. I would not recommend this product at all. want a refund - his reply - can only give you store credit unless the mattress was faulty - his example of a faulty mattress was "if the mattress exploded whilst you were sleeping on it". Didn't argue the point cause I picked up pretty quickly how they role. Awaiting the credit via email...........not holding my breath

mattress is not bonded to the foam so as a result, this mattress is like laying on a deflated air bed. I wish I spent the money on a better mattress!

Deflated rather than inflated – I was really excited to purchase the queen size self-inflating mattress. Unfortunately when we decided to use it, we found it to be the complete opposite. Extremely hard and horrible to sleep on. I returned the product and explained it was not what we were told when buying the product. I also attached a letter explaining I would like a refund. I am currently awaiting a response and was told it’s Christmas so I could be waiting a little while. It’s a shame to be so excited to have a 4wd Supa Centre new to the town but very poor after sales experience.

Really disappointed in the product. What a let down – This kings mattress i purchased for my family to camping on is so disappointing and honestly not that far off just sleeping on the ground itself. It offers very little separation between yourself and the ground and is sadly so uncomfortable my family won't sleep in our tent until we get something different. No good – we have so much kings stuff that we love but we have 2 of these mattresses but in queen size and they are so bad to sleep on we can’t use them any more. we have tried letting them inflate for many hours and still when i. laying on it my body (mainly hip when laying down)is on the hard ground through it. and sitting on them my bum is touching the ground.  Show details

Don’t waste your money – The air displaces when the mattress is inflated. We ended up leaving the plugs out so the air would fall around us, didn’t make for a comfortable sleep. We normally like the Kings brand, not in this case though. Show details

Rather buy a normal blow up mattress – Really disappointed with this product. Its more an air Mattress which just displaces the air to the other side (queen) and you are left practically on the ground. A friend has the Anaconda Dune for the same price and is really happy. Horrible Mattress – Brought the Queens Self inflating mattress from Canningvale Supacentre and what a waste of money that was. Have inflated and deflated this mattress 5 times leaving it to inflate for up to 12hrs, testing it before I go camping with it and still it remains half inflated with air pockets. mattress. With two people sleeping on it there is no stability. And even.l with my 4 year old son on one by himself he could not get comfortable. I purchased these as I have been happy with other kings products but unfortunately these are rubbish. Should have gone with the dune 3d mattress at anaconda. Now my sons hobbling around with a sore hip and my partner cant move from a sore back today and it's bloody ruined our first camping experience. Really dissapointed. Terrible. Do not recommend – Should had read these reviews before I wasted my money. This mattress fills up with pockets of air between the foam and the outside layer. Feels like a flat air mattress. A really poor product – Kings are renowned for value for money and I have a number of their products because of that. Value for money to me means a reasonable price for a reasonable quality product. I would never recommend it and probably won’t use it either. Very disappointed.

The delivery time was exceptional though and I have to say the quality of this product is a rare exception to the rule.

An expensive bad nights sleep – I purchased a king double self inflating mattress for my partner for Xmas as an upgrade for our big daddy delux swag. The first night it was ok but after that noooo. It's so uncomfortable! The air displaces when you lie on it or move. With both of us on it, it's worse. My feet are in the air and my body feels like it's lying on nothing. careful with it. I did not check if the mattress was a 'bonded mattress' before purchase, it wasn't mentioned on the website, and unfortunately these are not bonded mattresses, therefore when you lay on them (particularly if you're a side sleeper) the air is displaced to the rest of the mattress, leaving you laying on the ground, the internal foam does little for padding. Adding extra air only exacerbates the issue and I imagine that when sleeping on the double version partner movement would be very annoying.
