Better than expected – For the price I thought I would take a chance. Fairly attractive shoe so it is great for just going shopping or an easy walk but would not recommend for heavy training. Show details

E3 on my screen – My Aldi cross trainer is amazing! I have bought expensive ones that take up so much space. This is so compact but does the same job. Just wondering what E3 means. Has just come on screen and can’t find my book. Thanks Kim Show details

Crane Stepper noise – Very very noisy with squeaks and squeals. So loud it may damage hearing. I’ve oiled it and it quiets down a bit but only temporarily. The actual movement is fine. Show details

Lasted 1 month – It took me a fair while to work up the motivation to put it together and start using it. It took four weeks of 20 minutes a day (less than 10 hours total) and then the wheels fell off. Literally. I really wish I could find the receipt. I reckon Aldi's business model depends on people just not returning faulty goods. $400 gone. Show details

Great! I need another one! – I bought one in 2016, and put together myself, like a jigsaw puzzle! It worked great and I lost weight using it. A couple of years ago I moved house and gave it to a friend. I really regret it, as I would love to use it now! I want another one, and have been waiting for Aldi to stock them again! Show details

DANGEROUS!!! – We've had it for less than 3 months and when my wife was using it to do rows, it came apart and she landed flat on her back and hit her head. She had to call me at work and I rushed home to check on her. I re-rigged it to test it out again and it came apart AGAIN. We're both experience trainers and have owned suspension gyms in the past. This one almost caused serious damage. Should be recalled. Show details

Bad useless – Very crude parts missing unstable and weak construction. Will not last six months of regular use. It is just a crude cheap product. Iam sure it’s not German technology. Aldi should stop selling this product !!!

Poor Product! Cheap is cheap apparently! – VERY poor product! Mine was so unstable it bent its front horizontal support within the first week. In order to continue I was able to replace that with a longer piece of wood which gave more stability but within only six weeks one of the arms to the fly wheel snapped completely rendering the machine inoperable. The recommended weight limit in the… Read more

manual is 180 kilos, ....I weigh only 78 kilos so weight was not the problem. It was used six days a week for about 20 minutes a session.

Aldi refunded with no hassles.

I was offered another machine or a refund but the machine is definitely NOT sturdy enough to stand up to expected normal use so I asked for a refund.

Cannot recommend the trainer at all.

I wish I could say this is perfect but 11 days after purchase faults are preventing me from using it – I purchased the Crane elliptical cross trainer from Aldi on the 16th Aug 2015 I assembled it on the day of purchased it. Upon trying to use it I found there is no alteration of resistance it is very hard to peddle no matter where on the program it is at. The computer has E7 message on it. I contacted After sales RSC-Sports they informed me that… Read more

Resistance is controlled by the drive belt on the flywheel inside cover. They said you may find it hard even on low as drive belt is new, situation may improve after a certain usage and that Error code E7 is a Computer issue, please detach computer & re-attach and also check if wires connect to it and wires inside the machine are well connected. I tried all that but to no avail. Then After sales RSC-Sports sent me an email with trouble shooting guide with diagrams I needed to remove the covers off the flywheel and clutch, in doing so I found that the diagrams don't match what’s on machine. I photographed what I saw and sent back to After sales RSC-Sports. Now I'm waiting for their response. Now eleven days later I’m still not able get the benefit of use the machine.

Good quality machine for the price – Purchased in July 2015 for AU$299. Must be a different breed from the past releases of Aldi cross trainer. Requires about 2.5/3 hours to put together if you are ok on self assembly. Instructions are pretty clear. My first use of this was positive. The flywheel can be clunky if you are doing a lower body workout only. For a much smoother use it… Read more

is necessary to put some effort into using the complete machine. Therefore my opinion only is that this will give you a full upper/lower body workout but not those separately. You will feel that drop in the step without the use of the poles.

The console panel is very easy to use, the range of pre programs is useful.

I recommend this if you are new to using cross trainers or are looking for a machine at the cheaper end of the market.

Make no mistake this is not a high quality gym machine so don't expect the same.

GREAT, NO PROBLEMS, WORKS A TREAT! – I purchased a Crane Platinum Elliptical Trainer from Aldi about 2.5 years ago and it has been great and not missed a beat! I have found it to be a sturdy and safe piece of equipment to use. I can recommend it to anyone wanting an economical piece of all round fitness equipment. The price and the reliability.

Don't waste your time or money!!! – Was so excited when I purchased the last cross trainer left at my local Aldi store a couple of weeks ago. Took a while to put together which was fine but unfortunately the disappointment set in once I jumped on it to do a workout. The machine was not stable, it moved and wobbled, did not feel safe at all. It also hurt my joints as it was not… Read more

smooth in anyway like you would expect a cross trainer. I have since returned it to Aldi who were fantastic and gave me my money back without question. I went and used the money on the Michelle Bridges excercise bike instead and I am loving it!

Difficult to put together, not sturdy, not safe, hurt my joints when using.

Do Not Buy! – Only bought the Elliptical trainer 2 days ago and it has already broken down! First the screws didn't fit properly, the machine shook quite noticeably when in use and now the flywheel is making a terrible clicking noise. Have tried to contact Crane and still haven't heard from them. This is the second Crane product that I have had problems with… Read more

now and won't be buying anything from this brand again. Usually happy with Aldi products but certainly not from this brand. Very Disappointed! :( Inexpensive Broke down 2 days after purchase. Screws didn't fit properly when assembling, shakes quite noticeably when in use, Flywheel making loud clicking noise and scraping inside machine.

Excellent support - Ok product for the price – Mine lasted 12 months. Terrible noise started. Contacted Crane via email/ phone. They helped diagnose problem. I said I could fix it since I was not prepared to send back (cost). They send several parts and the tools to replace them at no cost + postage bag to send back tools - is this not excellent service?. The product is cheap but has lasted… Read more

me three years. It now has warn out (40 mins use 4 times per week).

When it was working Ok I was very happy with it. It was easy to control the setting, nothing flash but functional.

Its main problem I found was the point that took the brunt of the use was the large "wheel" component. The structure not strong enough and gradually warped out of line making irritating noise through the system. The rest was well enough made and is still ok. Inexpensive, quiet. reasonable stride length for tall person. good computer display/control Too light weight materials for the 'wheels' and bearings.

Really bad – Used the machine no more than 10 time and it broke down Already. Very disappointing because the machine looks new. Now that is winter and we wanted to get back into indoors e exercise. Lets hope they will refund me or fix it but by other reviews it doesn't seem likely that will happen. You get what you pay for says it all. Stopped working. Magnetic part

Don't waste your money – Brought a Crane cross trainer from Aldies, worked fine for a month and then broke down. After two months of contacting the manufactorer I am still waiting for the "repairman" to come and as I have no way to get the machine to the store I am unable to return it. Do not recommend wasting your time and money on this product as there is no customer service. Cheap Breaks after a month
