Hi I fitted a Cocoon outdoor antenna kit (HE170351) last week,12/12/23 and it will not work in my area. It replaced an older antenna that did work. The instruction manual says "suitable for metro & rural areas" but after 6 days with very broken/non existant reception I had an antenna installer come and check it. He found it was not suitable for rural areas so i had to replace it. This kit is in perfect condition, 1 week's use, but because I bought it more than 1 year ago (and do not have the receipt now) remembering I only opened it last week, Aldi will not refund the $49.99 it cost me. It is clearly not " fit for purpose", and, under normal circumstances they would refund your money if it is faulty. You can't phone Aldi and explain the problem, the Aldi shop said ring Aldi!!!!! ha!ha! they won't talk on the phone. I'm an aged pensioner and getting this refund would help. NOTE I contacted Balco Brands, they supplied Aldi with these Antennas, no reply to my phone calls or Email. Can somebody help? If necessary I can contact Consumer Affairs because it is not as advertised {in Ins. Manuel) but I should not have to do this, we spend $ 1000's with Aldi's each year. Desperate for a solution. Balco (Cocoon) have contacted me and I can now approach Aldi about this matter. I will update this site when I have confirmation that I will be reimbursed for the antenna. Rod
I am happy to say that Balco (Cocoon Antennas) provided me with a reference number which I took to an Aldi store today and they gave me a full refund. I must say that this level of service from Balco was very much appreciated under the circumstances. Thank you Balco.
Strange, somehow this antenna made its way into Philippine shores. Glad to see the antenna design is also fit for ISDBT standard here. NO problems on reception, maybe I was just 25kms from Manila and the antenna is hoisted 30m from the ground. I also left a lengthy review here 2 months ago but productreview somehow doesn't want to publish my review.
Can I purchase a replacement co axial lead to go from the aerial to the tv.

Hi, it's usually sold at ALDI stores however it may be a discontinued product, bunnings stock very similar Antenna Kits for cheap.
I can sell you mine, brand new, husband didnt like it so never opened to use it.

Hey Pam I wouldn't recommend connecting 3 TVs with this antenna, I'd buy 3 and set each one up individually for each TV - Cheers
That is not correct. You will need additional amplifier and a splitter box.
