ALDI Workzone Titanium Sliding Mitre Saw Stand

Surprisingly strong and stable! Really happy with it – I bought the saw stand on special from Aldi for $39 and was honestly expecting it to be a bit unsteady when setup. But I am really happy with how solid it is built and how stable it is when setup. The stand doesn't wobble at all. Awesome. This Workzone model is built very similar to the Ryobi saw stand, but much cheaper. Everything about… Read more
the stand is solid. The extendable roller bars and rollers are solid, they don't jiggle around like I expected it to do. The saw attachment is really good so far. Like a lot of these stands you bolt the saw to the attachments and you can quickly take the saw on and off the stand. I'm 185cm tall and find the height perfect. In my work I use a Dewalt saw stand occasionally and I don't find this Workzone model any different in built quality and stability.
I'm not sure if this brand will cop the daily use in the back of a tradies ute, but for home use I think it's great, at a fraction of the price of a Makita or Dewalt model.
Some improvements: - The 4 bolts and washers that are supplied to attach your saw to the stand are a bit small, but these can be easily replaced. Maybe some wing nuts would have been better too. But so far so good. - When the legs swing down and lock in with a push button, the legs are very stable, they don't wobble around, but I can see one day I might replace the push button with a bolt and wing nut I can tighten... making the legs a lot more stable. But so far the push buttons aren't a problem.
For the price this is an excellent saw stand, and like I have said, it's very solid, much more than I through it would be.
