Claiming extra ndis hours not authorised – My plan for 24mths was, by half used up in 6mths by a carer claiming extra hours without confirmation by myself. This carer didn’t want secondary carer and assured me this was the best way during a time time DCP were investigating Brain injury etc. for my newborn son. She was with me 6 days a week for y-hrs and made two notifications to Dcp that were unfounded n dismissed by lawyer research n information. The lawyer could not understand why this would occur as she should be the one that knows me best. Unfortunately she had a god complex, lied.to me about qualifications and did not disclose her personal or history with previous clients which she had a guilt complex of her interference. As a mandatory reporter, she did not ask me for any explanations, especially considering my self hygiene and told Alliance I was not not in anyway doing self care. Never asked that I shower at night, eat breakfast at 7am (should have seen dishes) and dinner at night. In my folder the girls had to check of any signs of shower in etc. She even sat on the couch refusing to do anything n watch me clean etc n cook. Despite us doing in together n I cooking meals for as I like to entertain. She refused to clean oven, windows, bathroom, so I don’t understand where she thought the magic fairy came from that did this. She said she couldn’t work with bleach despite me have in total 13 surgeries she refused to disinfect as it was a work safety issue. This woman was the only emotional support at the time n entwined so deeply I can only understand in retrospect. Alliance will not reimburse the hours claimed after official shift finishing times, also commenting that staff do not need to advise them if they make a notification to DCP. The amanager [Name Removed] n bdm [Name Removed] were defensive. <y NDIS manager contacted the, numerous time and bdm would not return calls or accept Afterhours shifts. I lost my case manager because of this. Despite FOI done 11/22, they are still getting legal advise whoever they can release what DCP sectioned them with. Also this carer found my resume and uni essays n commented “I didn’t know your were in these corporate positions or could write such essays at uni n achieve eveyHD for every paper. This was before notification n there were excuses for her presumption etc She also watch previous clients homes for several years n comments of “the family must be selling, they died”. What freak does this with at least three prior clients. ALLIANCE DO NOT DO ANY PSYCH OR MEDICAL IQ TRSTS WHICH I ASSUMED WOULD BE NECCESARY FOR WORKING W VULNERABLE PPL. LIMITED CHECKS OR NON DISCLOSURE OF TRUE QUALIFICATIONS. make sure u get a good carers as most are beautiful. However be aware if there’s any trouble or concerns you experienced n highlight, despite being fantastic are dismissed and workers evaporate without reason. Learnt not to criticise n ended up being under the thumb too many times.

Disorganised and unhelpful office staff – Bookings with office staff are difficult for both staff and clients, especially considering they charge clients $60+ an hour and only pay staff $30. They lie to clients and can’t be trusted.

Restriction and seclusion practises – I have a disability and went to Sydney for 2 hours a week before Christmas to see family as I have none where I live. I flew, wore a mask, travelled by taxi straight to afternoon tea and came straight home. Since I have bad pain, I can’t stay out long. This was before any restrictions applied for COVID in Sydney. When I came back I contacted the COVID line asking about whether I needed testing and how I would do it. They said I don’t qualify for testing as have no symptoms and I would have to get a taxi or ride share to get tested.

On the Monday, my support workers refused to come and give me support and put me under quarantine conditions for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year so spent this time completely alone. The COVID government office said I should not be in quarantine and should be receiving in-person services but Alliance refused.

I let them know I was advised to make a human rights complaint and asked to resolve this ourselves. They didn’t reply.

After this Alliance told my case managers they will not provide anymore services to me. They are in breach of the discrimination act. I wouldn’t want other people with disabilities treated this way. I was told by the support worker I was putting her, her family and other clients at risk even though the government said I wasn’t a risk to anyone and if I didn’t have a disability I would have been able to go out freely, except I couldn’t because I reply on support workers to go out.
