This terrible experience was with amazon web services for web hosting in australia. I followed all processes and requested a payment deferral from our aws account manager as I was capital raising. He confirmed this was absolutely possible for debts over $2000. I then raised a case and gave him the case number as instructed. Amazon web services account receivables was not in communication with our account manager and then suspended our account without contacting me while I was capital raising, pulling our website and apps down impacting our business and placing lives at risk for our support service.

If you then raise a ticket - all account and billing tickets only have 1 classification of 'general' - this means a 7 day turnaround time for a response. My advice is that amazon web services is a risk to all founders and I would advise approaching web hosting providers who are contactable, responsive, will inform other departments of approvals and are proactive to work with you to optimise your account. Beware!
