COMPLAINT - I tried a hearing aid paid a fully refundable $600 deposit. It was not right for me so I returned it and was promised that my deposit would be refunded. Over a month and still no refund. I complained to Ampifon and the matter has been resolved. Show details

price differential beween the old and new hearing aides. My wife experienced very poor service from Amplifon over the next 4 years with countless return of the hearing aides that so often became inoperable with typically 3-5 weeks for 'repairs'. It is only recently after moving to a different Hearing Aid Provider that we were told that in '2026 price terms', the Ampli Mini 4's are worth circa $1500. After making 3 separate complaint calls for financial redress, no responses from Amplifon. I rang today on 27 April 2026 to find out where the complaint management was at and was told that a note had been put on my wife's file in March to say that there was no price difference between the Ampli Energy R4 and Ampli Mini 4 aides. We did not receive a phone call to advise us, it took my follow up call to receive this info with no further information as the 'Why', I felt that it seemed to be a very convenient response for Amplifon to make. So all in all a very unsatisfying customer experience. We would not recommend Amplifon to anybody seeking auditory services and/or the purchase of hearing aids

I had miracle ear before this. I like this SO much better. I really liked the audiologist. Once I got the hearing aids I was blown away. Anything I listen to on my phone goes straight into the hearing aid. I can listen to Spotify and I'm the only one who hears it. Watch and listen to videos, same thing. And I can control the volume of the hearing aids on my phone. Plus, best thing yet, I can hear SO much better. I'm a very happy customer. Show details · 1

Won’t stop calling me – Will not stop hounding you, call all the time even after 7pm at night. Do they not think if I wanted to pay $10000 for hearing aids I can get for $3000 at Specsavers I would have let them know at the time when I got my ‘free’ hearing check?
Disappointing service and outcome – I bought a set of Resound Linx Quattro hearing aids from Amplifon, they have been nothing but trouble. I have had to take them back so many times for numerous faults mostly battery life. A number of times I have been without hearing aids for 2-3 weeks whilst they were being assessed and repaired. till mine came back, but not the case. They have been repaired, had parts replaced and the left one replaced with a new one. Just prior to the three-year warranty expiring, both hearing aids were in again with faults, this time they were both replaced with new ones. I thought that meant I would get another three years warranty. However, I was told once the current warranty expired, there would be no more repairs under warranty. I now have the exact same issues. The left one one will only charge to 40% overnight, this morning only 20% which means I have to keep putting it in the charger. I have cleaned the contacts on the hearing aids and in the charger, I have also tried charging the left hearing aid in the right side, with the same result. So, I am now up for the cost of a new set of hearing aids, as a retiree I don't really want to shell out for another pair. The left one as soon as it gets to 10% makes an annoying donging noise so I have to remove it if I am out or if home recharge it. Was hoping I could buy a new rechargeable battery for it to extend the life of them. However, from what I have found out the batteries cannot be replaced. It would be great if Amplifon would sort this issue out for me. By the way, most of the staff have been great, however, they can only do what the company will let them.

Their calls are dreadful in Customer service, never leaving a message, for people to call back. BUT considering how often I spoke to their logan office about this and placed a complaint. 4 so years later, they still ring every 2 weeks, even though I haven't used their service.
Follow-up · IF a missed call, leave at least the company name. TRY to resolve, when you ring back, and say hey I have made this complaint previously, and they go sorry, but would anyone you know, like to use our service. IM like, what in heavens. IF I'm putting a complaint in, what makes you think I'm giving your company a plug. IT shows complaints are not taken seriously.

Again the mob at Shepparton have contacted my boss after putting in numerous complaints! Your behaviour is outright disgusting and predatory.... I was told that they need 3 points of ID to do so. What a load of trash.... take his number off the system now.

My husband visited an Amplifon store to go through their process for hearing loss assessment & product recommendation. Once the team made his booking & the testing was completed, we were surprised that he was supplied with the appropriate hearing aids all on the same day. testing done, then be supplied with a quote for the product. Unfortunately, he didn't have enough money to purchase the hearing aids outright at the time. He found that the sales team were incredibly pushy & they insisted that my husband should sign up on a payment plan. It was "no interest" for a period of time, but hidden charges & monthly fees were added on from the first repayment. The additional deal Amplifon threw in was a "try for 30 days, if you aren't happy, return the product with no fees," slanted gimmick. My husband tried the hearing aids for approximately 2 weeks, after which he wasn't happy with the quality & chose to return them. Upon walking back into the same totallly vacant store, the team informed him that he needed to make an appointment in order to process the return. So he was forced to comply with this as it was the only method by which he could escape from their dodgy product & even worse finance arrangement. The team were very challenging to deal with during the return process. It's clear that their pushy sales tactics, heavy advertising & inferior product isn't going to work for them long-term.

SCAM ALERT! My mum was lured in with a free hearing test, subsequently told she was going deaf in both ears and required aids. She was sold hearing aids worth $3000 but charged $9000. Subsequent tests with reputable companies have now proven she DOES NOT EVEN REQUIRE THEM! Stay away, this is the worst company you could go with.

aids to show how great my hearing would be, they turned them off and asked how my hearing was while they were still in my ears so obviously my hearing was muffled. I told them I would think about maybe the cheaper ones, I called and said I wasn't interested. They called weekly then Fortnightly then Monthly and continued no matter how many times I told them to stop and I said I would never use their company. I finally had success by blocking their numbers after each time because they used several numbers, either that or they finally got the message. Now I'm getting monthly letters in the mail. Specsavers tested my ears a year later and got the same result as Amplifon and said that I didn't need hearing aids yet. Recently I was interstate and walked past an Amplifon store and they had a staff member outside almost accosting people for a free hearing check. Steer clear at all costs.

In getting the 'Seniors Concessions Card' receptionist never smiled, showed utter contempt for us, and showed supported or understanding to my 'slow' 80yo+ elderly friend in any way shape or form!! She demanded to see the 'Seniors Concessions Card'. What a POS! Horrible horrible treatment. She must hate her job.... cause we certainly hated her treatment of a slow 80yo+ confused elderly man... trying to make heads or tails of what was going on - mentally & physically!! I suggest that the 'receptionist' find another job - maybe in a Women's Correctional Facility - where I am sure she would get the Head Warden's Job in 6 days! This company seems like one of the dodgiest operators going around. Somehow they managed to obtain my name and address some decades ago so started sending mail to the house I lived in at the time - my parents home. Decades later and they still send correspondence to my mum. I called to raise a concern but the phone calls go through to reception… Read more
who are given scripted answers along the lines of "all we can tell you is that we obtained your information legally". I asked the question at what point is my personal information protected from the hands of companies and organisations like Amplifon ie one that I have never had anything to do with, and they couldn't give me an answer.
If you want an answer to your questions and to ask for the information to be removed, their system is designed that you have to leave more information eg phone, email, so they can contact you. Obviously I am not going to leave them more information so my details will be on their system forever into the future.
The laws decades ago on collecting information from marketing agencies were much more lax as compared to today. The Government isn't going to fix problems of old information floating around with companies we have never had contact with so at what point does Amplifon act appropriately.
I might have started receiving this mail when I was a teenager and living at home, for reasons I will never know. I haven't live at the address they send correspond to for decades and I am in my 50's now. I imagine Amplifon may still be sending out correspondence in many centuries to my name and the old address because they don't have my date of birth. They somehow obtained a name and address from me when perhaps I was a young teenager in the 1980's and it went to some company later bought out by Amplifon and I am still receiving their correspondence.
In the past, all I have done is bin their correspondence not even knowing what the company does, but my mum asked that I stop it so I looked it up. I will never do business with Amplifon even if I need a hearing aid one day in the future and will steer anyone who asks away from Amplifon.
When I finished speaking to the operator at Amplifon I explained that my only way of really addressing this issue is to write a negative review or two each time I receive unwanted contact from Amplifon.

wore them to work and ended up with a headache and had to take them out. Luckily I took my old ones with me. I will be returning them and getting my money back. I will be returning to my old business back in SA.

I booked an appointment because my hearing aids didn't appear to be working. I was given the 'well thats as good as they'll get comment from the audiologist. I took the same hearing aids to another hearing specialist who confirmed they do not work. Amplifon wouldn't even check them.

It has now been 9 weeks and Amplifon have advised that his hearing aids have been "lost in transit". Unsolicited mail - Last year I received unsolicited mail from Amplifon - I'd love to know who they purchased my details from as I've never dealt with them (or every will based on this) in my life. Had the hearing aids for a few months now. Most things sound like glass breaking, or is way to loud. No amount of adjustment lasts long. On third app now no noticeable improvements. They said I would be able to here in a crowded room, they are wrong.
