to delay, deny and defend against what was eventually accepted as a legitimate Claim. Our Claim was wrongfully denied and their Appeal process was never properly engaged with. In fact we were told "people don't generally know they can appeal" and this was not disclosed until some months after the initial denial of the Claim.

We could in no way recommend this company for protecting an Owner Builders interests during the construction of their home. Far from granting 'peace of mind' the policy has caused us more than a year of pain and distress leading to an unfinished home and becoming technically homeless. Our rental could not be renewed and diminished building funds the result of having to fix all the problems associated with damage ourselves without insured assistance, then delayed us building, plus expenses for mitigating the damage didn't allow another lease.

We would never have purchased this Owner Builder Policy had we known the decision makers were in the UK making it a nightmare of process to find out who ultimately was responsible to pay the Claim which is still being debated and while we try to finish our house.
