1997 Subaru Forester with 220,000 km on the clock . It would cost me more than $10000 to get an equivalent replacement if such a thing existed. I purchased this insurance based on reviews. Not the ludicrous reviews stating how easy it was to give my money to the Insurance company but the reviews on how fairly and rapidly claims were processed. Insurance no matter how cheap or expensive have no value if claims are rejected. When you have a flash car and are dripping with money comprehensive insurance would be the norm. The poorer you are and the trashier your car you drift towards the more affordable 3rd party Fire and Theft policy. For some bizarre reason with Seniors Car Insurance 3rd party Fire and Theft is more expensive than comprehensive. My brain hurts. I went through the online assessment for a quote but just to be sure I rang SCI. A nice pleasant person offered me the same policy as the online policy but at a significantly higher price. Wierd??. Try not to ring SCI. The endless description of what a bad person you are and what will happen to you under their Legal System makes you want to kill yourself just to deny them the pleasure.

After contracting influenza type A overseas, we contacted 1Cover to seek approval to book an additional hotel room so other family members could isolate. 1Cover advised this was acceptable so we booked the room. When we lodged the claim we provided the medical certificate and other documentation such as proof of purchases etc. On each occasion they requested more and more documentation, which became increasingly difficult or impossible to source (this went on for months). Eventually they refused to acknowledge the conversation we had with them overseas giving us approval to book the additional room and did not refund us for the costs. Never again.

in the 5 months we've had her. The claims process is exceptionally easy and claims are sent to your bank account very quickly (generally 24 hours for us if it's a work day). The online vet service is fantastic, we've been able to connect with a vet within a few minutes to gain advice. The vets we have spoken with have been friendly, non judgemental and very helpful! We were travelling from Iceland to Greenland when the plane aborted due to technical issues.

The claim was for a connecting ferry in Greenland, and the transfer to it (via a small boat). Total claim was $2634.10.

It was paid out in full, no questions asked. The payment was timely, being only 2 weeks post the claim. I had paid $2000 insurance for a 3 month trip.

weekends. I guess their medical emergency line would be different, but I dont know. I logged in to extend online, and it said, sorry this function is temporarily out of function, I called, but no one working weekends. Pretty poor form for a travel company. on this alone, im never using again. why would I? get a company that cares enough to have someone available to fix stuff on the weekend, or to have their website up and running, or even have one of those question things on the website that is attended by a human that can help.

More help should given to people who have to visit specialists no reimbursement unless you are admitted to hospital. I would imagine a large number of your clients are pensioners etc, and have been with you for many years.
