the outside. I chose the green model, and while the green on the metal body is quite nice, the green on the bottom screen bezel is a completely different shade — and not in a good way. To make things worse, the white border around the screen gives off a very retro vibe, and not in the stylish sense. It reminds me of the iMac G4 from 2002. That was 22 years ago. To put it bluntly, you wouldn’t stick a brand-new Lamborghini engine into a 22-year-old car body and expect applause. Sitting next to my old, elegant 27" iMac, the new model honestly looks... awkward. Dated. Even cheap, despite being anything but. I find myself having to convince my eyes to ignore the aesthetics so I can appreciate the internals — and that’s a shame. I’ll say it again: the 2024 iMac is a triumph of performance. But as for looks? Apple, what were you thinking? And while we’re at it — why on earth did you stop making the 27" iMac? Bring it back.
