Disappointing Customer Experience from Apple – Loyalty Overlooked – I signed up for a "free" one-month trial of this service, only to find I had been charged immediately. I requested a refund the very next day, but my request was denied twice without any explanation. While the $20 is not significant, this experience is disappointing and speaks to the principle of customer trust. I had been planning purchases from Apple during the Black Friday sales but saved myself a lot of unnecessary spend.I hope this reflects an isolated incident rather than a shift in priorities from customer focus to profit.
Biased News & Manipulation of Content – I’ve used the Apple News app for around 6 months now. It was barely worthwhile at $14.99 /month but Apple recently hiked the fee to $19.99/month. My main issue though is that is has a strong left leaning bias to the procured news articles and constantly promotes left leaning news sources. A global source of news should be more neutral but clearly the Apple ‘Editors’ have an agenda to push. After navigating around this bias for months, the final straw was when I was half way through reading an article on the Sydney church stabbing that was posted on this app and when the story was removed from my view whilst I was reading it - even though the article was still available on the newspaper’s site. So it seems they are now censoring content. Dont pay for this propaganda service, get your news through a more neutral source.
