Aqua One Brilliance 120 Rectangular 292L Aquarium Set

Ok tank at an ok price – First the good news: It's a great looking unit and is well designed overall. The filter and heater are great, and the cabinet is both functional and practical. The bad news: I am disappointed in the clarity of the glass. Normal glass has a green tinge to it, not generally noticeable for window glass and the like because of how thin it is. However in large aquariums the glass is much thicker for strength which is why many of the bigger tanks use low iron/starfire glass. Aqua one advertise this as low iron glass but I can definitely see a green tint to it. If this is low iron glass I hate to think what normal glass of the same thickness is like. Secondly the lighting is mediocre. The fish store has an additional led in their display model and they warned me when I bought it that many customers come back and buy brighter fluorescent tubes to replace the stock version. After setting it up I too thought the lighting was sub-par and went back and spent extra money getting new tubes.

It's not a bad tank, hence the three stars. If they'd given decent lighting I'd give four stars, but that still leaves the clarity of the glass is hardly brilliant.
