All staff have been very courteous and professional whilst doing their work. we appreciate the text message the day before the service letting us know who is coming and at what time. next what is happening. Today for example One lady came in to clean the area my mother lives in within my home. half an hour later another lady came to do the social. Why is this a problem well mum wanted to go out for her social. The cleaner could not stay as mum had to leave ( unfortunately the social carer had other clients who ran over time so she had to be late not her fault) Rostering was the issue Cleaner was meant to be here for an hour and a half, social carer an hour. Problem mum has to be in the home for the cleaner i.e for an hour and a half and cannot go out or the cleaner has to inform her manager she cannot stay. Once upon a time we would have one lady who mum came to enjoy and love to see(not that any of the carers are not great) but mum had a re-pore with one person each week for 2 and half hours Now anyone turns up at various time. Ring oh we will fix this, write get an email back sorry you have having issue I will send it up to the right person. Yesterday I found out the roistering is now done with automation, no care factor to aged people who need continuity. Or their families who are trying to handle medical shopping and keeping the aged person calm. As for the Occupational therapist who get over 160 hours for a couple of hours travel time. viewing the situation and looking up a bath seat, bath seat a couple hundred dollars. OT 640 dollars. Once upon a time if you had a problem you got a lovely phone call how can we help. Now you get emails Sorry you have an issue I will send it to the appropriate area. The email might as well say in your ear with a can of beer. If not for the wonderful carers we would quit it is the administration who are at fault totally.

I have been with Australian Unity for many years. The workers that have been in my home have been polite, and kind, and worked quickly and well. I have had good contact with the coordinators. As a widow, i requested ladies only, as i felt uncomfortable with men, and my request has been honoured. Show reply

Each carer who has come to assist has been pleasant, obliging, and there hasn,,t been anyone who I would not have in my home. Having said that, it is beneficial for the carer to be familiar with their careers needs. Show reply

They will constantly stuff you around with services because they have no staff available or they send you carers from a completely different company with little to zero warning. DO NOT get your services when it suits you or the quality of care you deserve because of their shambolic scheduling and staffing practices. The standard of care is also highly inconsistent. Some carers are great but many are just there for the pay packet. They definitely don’t work as a committed team and definitely some of them have zero people skills and shouldn’t be working with the vulnerable or elderly. The attitude from this company seems to be “just be grateful we eventually sent you someone”. Horrible experience. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

Absolutely terrible. This company will add to your stress. It will not assist you to stay in your own home. management fees regularly. Avoid this company. You will end up worse off. They have single handly forced my loved one into residential aged care. I wish we had never gone with them. A complete rought. As a family we are devastated. They have negatively impacted our lives in the worse possible way.

Toxic Company - Disgraceful Managers - Unhappy Staff – Disgraceful - Managers don't care - unreliable and untrained staff who are obviously very unhappy with their job and it shows. This company should be investigated for elder abuse - they take their money each month for Management Fees + Home Care Fees and don't even turn up to service these older people in real need. They are toxic.
