Janene provided excellent service in a concise and engaging manner. I believe Janene went above and beyond to source and provide the necessary information to satisfy my enquiry. Janene met agreed timelines, and for this I thank you as I find this quality of service rare these days

on off switch – The instructions say to turn the scale off manually to save power when you're done. BUT the on-off switch will NOT turn the scale off. I have to wait three minutes for it to turn off automatically!

Avoid unless you never intend to actually use it! (It looks pretty) – This was not one of my better kitchen purchases and I may have to go and buy a different one as I have been using this for less than a week and it is really annoying me. Don't judge a set of scales by its box! Good points. (Really grasping at straws here!) ======== - Appearance: It looks pretty (Provided you never intend to actually use it) - Screen: The screen is big, bright and backlit. - Buttons: The touch sensitive buttons are less likely to get sticky or fail if stuff is spilt on them.

Bad Points ======= - Accuracy: Theoretically +-1g but has been as bad as +-8g! Depends on how heavy the item you zeroed it on is. Heavier is generally worse but not predictably so! - Speed: It is slow to respond so when pouring liquids in you can massively overpour. - Cleaning: There seems to be no way to remove the measuring plate so it is going to get nasty under there! - Screen: The screen becomes unreadable at even a slight angle off vertical. So If you have a plate or a large pot on top it it is useless. - Timeout: The box says 120seconds however it seems to be a bit random. I have had as little as 40seconds. Regardless, even 120s is way too short a time when cooking. There is no way to set this or turn it off. This could seriously stuff up a recipe if/when it just turns off the moment you turn your back!

Readable display, but turns off way to soon – I purchased this scale as the display was large and easy to read. Unit can be switched to grams, millilitres, ounces or pounds and measure liquids. What I don't like and find very annoying is that it switches off very quickly if it sense no activity. When you want to add to the ingredients or go to the pantry to get something else it turns off and you then have to empty the container and start again. Not user friendly for the cook. Either Avanti should have extended the switch off time or allowed the user to chose if they want this function. I understand why it is there to save on battery power, but come on 40 seconds & it turns off. Not a kitchen scale I would recommend to anyone.
