was an excellent mat until – We have had the double version of this mat for about 2 years. It is extremely comfortable but it no longer stays inflated through the night. No visible damage and the valves don't appear to be leaking.

Purchased in at Tentworld for $350.

I would just like to add that we returned our mat to tentworld and BlackWolf gave us a refund. We had excellent service and were very happy with the outcome.

So good I bought three – The Mega Deluxe is so thick it really is fantastically comfortable. I've bought one new and two pre-loved ones. The newer style valve solves the main trouble with the older valve which can be fiddly to push the inflation bag onto. It's a smart system with two one way valves, and I like that the sleeping bag cover doubles as the inflation bag, except in the older style it pops off if you blow it up too fast. All the other sleeping mats we have seem too thin now that we have these 9cm luxury ones. The seams all appear good. Surface is good. Owned one for four years. Had one puncture, which I need to repair.

Purchased in at Tentworld for $230.

Very comfortable until it starts to deflate – It was great for a couple of years (yet only used about a dozen times) but now it seems to have just become porous. I tried to repair with the repair kit but there's too many microscopic holes to repair. It's as if the once air-tight layer on the material has perished and become permeable.

Loved it six times, until the surface lifted, poor customer service – I time in the winter months in the Victorian high country. After years on crappy mattresses, I splurged on a black wolf mega deluxe self inflating awesome thing. I liked it so much that I used it when staying in a hotel because it was more comfortable than the bed. I used it 6 times, then one morning I woke up to an anurism in the middle of the mattress. The surface had lifted and a bubble was growing fast. It doesn't deflate quicker but I couldn't use it any longer.

I contacted Black Wolf for a replacement but because I didn't have the receipt, they wouldn't replace it. It does have their logo all over it, it does have "mega deluxe" printed on it, it does have "Black Wolf" on the mattress and the inflation bag, but they wouldn't help; it'sobviously a fraudulent mattress.

So, as an act of good faith, I offered to return it to them at my expense, so they could verify it was genuine and for their R&D but they weren't interested. It was very disappointing and was an unpleasant experience, now I'm out more than $300 and a mattress.

This mattress used to deflate a lot over a few days, but Black Wolf improved the valve, pity they don't improve their customer service.

See the pictures of the anurism below...

Purchased at Anaconda.

I LOVE IT – I bought a single for my daughter and loved it so much I went back and got the double. Camping is a dream and they are perfect for overnight guests. Super comfortable, easy to put up and pack down. Wouldn't be without them.
