Not bad – The alarm clock must need a German mindset on attention to detail to operate this clock, it took me a few days to do the most basic detail like set the alarm. Its not too bad for the price, the one overriding irritating thing is the alarm increases in volume when it starts from soft & goes to loudish, certainly sounds loud on awake mode, the volume cannot be set, it is a default factory setting that operates as mentioned, which leads me to return it for credit.

Noisy electrical 'hum' – I purchased this bedside clock radio as it receives AM channels and I am outside the digital radio area so a DAB radio was not an option. I chose this radio as it was small and modern looking, a replacement for an older much larger radio some 25 years old. What I didn't expect was the constant and annoying electrical hum that comes from the unit no matter where it is placed, which is beside my bed in the night. Straight away I had to return to using my older radio and will insist on testing the next radio I choose in-store for noise. I would not recommend this product if you wish to sleep.
