Ok now – The unit wouldn't charge from the solar blanket. They sent another cable but no go. The unit was returned and I was told it was ok. When the unit came back I changed the polarity on the Bluetti cable and the thing worked. I have since tried it with three different solar blankets and it works. I can only conclude the Bluetti cable was incorrectly… Read more

wired if three seperate blankets were correct. The Bluetti warranty people were at least good.

Note. I have since found the solar blanket was at fault. I now give 5 stars. It works really well and runs my 38l Fridge for at least 8 hours.

Many Irritating defects – I'm an experienced electronic design engineer. My experience of the EB55 on a 2 week boating trip: Frustrating lack of easy 'charge' indication. If there is reasonable activity, why not just leave the display on? Too much button-pushing to see what is happening. With a 12V charger it only charged at 30W, but the spec says 100W off a cigarette… Read more

lighter. The cigarette lighter plug has a fuse inside it. This plug design is unreliable in my experience, and it was. The battery charge level indicator is way off, it shows 0% remaining charge when roughly 50% is left. Short on battery capacity: It ran a 650W 240V kettle for 36 minutes, that's 390 Whr, 72% of the claimed 537 Whr capacity. The battery status indicator showed empty at 36% of claimed capacity. This equipment wants a design revision to fix needless design & specification deficiencies. Neary threw it overboard!

Very poor customer service – I just wanted to confirm that a power station could be sent to a rural address. I received a confusing reply that had not originated in Australia. I have found an Australian manufacturer in Perth that appears to have a high quality product. Tired of overseas companies not respecting the Australian public by providing poor customer service.

Good product – I tried unit out, it works fantastic with my small rechargable 12 volt appliances in my caravan a charge would last me a couple of days, and recharging was quick, can be done anywhere theres a power point. Show details

WARNING - Bluetti Australia - Very Poor Warranty Support – I purchased a Bluetti EB55 andPV120 Solar Panels from https://www.bluettipower.com.au/ on 30th July 2022. The solar panels are practically useless as they are not suitable for use if it rains. The EB55 (sold as having a 2 year warranty) was great for 5 months then got the dreaded SHORT on the AC output circuit. The first important thing to know… Read more

is that Bluetti Australia do not have a phone number listed anywhere and you can only email them in relation to any question/problem. My experience in relation to their response to the warranty issue emails is abysmal, they either ignore you or send you a cut and paste response telling you to "reboot the device without any device plugged in, provide order number, serial number, pick up address and phone number and to share videos of the problem." When you send all of that information they will then ignore you some more. If you have a problem with their products be prepared for a battle and legal action to resolve it.

Very poor quality control & support – This is a sad case of a well designed product, horribly let down by poor manufacturing and abysmal after sales support. If you are lucky to to get one that works - these are great. If not you will be stuck in support purgatory with a supplier who will automatically put the blame on anything you plug in to this device (imagine a house builder… Read more

denying warranty because a circuit beaker tripped). We sent videos back of the unit indicating a short with nothing at all plugged in to it- which the manufacturer never downloaded or looked at. If you do buy one - pay with Paypal. We would have been waiting an eternity for a refund without the help of the Paypal dispute resolution team.

NOT WATER RESISTANT NOT WATERPROFF – The system looks great it's light and charges quickly. It's all my fault I didn't read about waterproof . Like why would you have a solar panels that need your constant presence in case of rain. My bad. Just can't see the value in this aspect. Bought so I could go walking while charges. Show details

Avoid like the plague – I bought Bluetti ac300 b300 unit and it didn’t charge straight out of the box. Bluetti after sales service is the worst I have ever seen. No phone number to ring and if they do give you a number to ring it is disconnected. Some days it would charge and than most days it wouldn’t. They say it has a 6000w power surge but mine wouldn’t do 4000w… Read more

surge. My 2500w generator with a 2800w surge blows the Bluetti away. As they say these things are not cheap but are made in China. Avoid like the plague
