Not worth it – This app is so not accurate measurements and % jump up and down from just a week or a few days, just to test I did a scan one right after doing another and everything was out by cms and % jumped up 4% in a matter of minutes , they will tell you if you are standing different it can be out but if it’s ment to scan internally how can the % be so… Read more

Dirty and pods removed without reason – Most of the pods visited are dirty and most of the time have rubbish inside, along with all the pods being removed for an app concept that does 1/2 of what the pods do. Most people find it cumbersome and tedious to set up. Absolute joke of a company.

Resolved Issues – I was charged in September 2020 for this service, despite having cancelled my free trial in 2019. I thought this may have been my fault, so I cancelled it (again) and moved on. charged my account tonight. While looking through my emails I have found proof I cancelled my original trial in 2019 and should never have been charged.

After email contact they refunded the incorrect charges.

my premium renewal. No mention of potential closures. Not good enough. Why did I have to find out how to report a problem by googling mPort? Why isn’t this number in the booth? Even better why can’t I report the issue on the app in real time. And more importantly wouldn’t it be good to send a notification to all customers to say your local booth is down, we will let you know when it’s back up? Rather than having to get to the booth to find it’s not working? The PR around COVID-19 and the mPort response has been very poor. If Shopping Centres close you (and us) down please tell us why. In a passenger lift I touch the floor button in a pod I touch the screen? I think there has been an overreaction here and subsequent poor customer communication.

logged in and I had to click ‘continue’ but there was no ‘continue’ on the screen. I pushed all over the touch screen trying to make it work but nothing. Eventually it timed out and said it was resetting so I went to the supermarket and came back and had the same issue. That was an hour wasted of my day trying to get a scan. Last year I also had the same issue at Eastgardens and Top Ryde and when I call the 1800 number I just sit on hold forever until I hang up. I want to be able to time my measurements with my gym program changes but when these pods are out of order so often I can’t. If I wasn’t so lazy, I’d cancel my membership.

(in fact probably building a little bit). The Health Report is a nice one too - I enjoy the utilisation of somatotypes, macro recommendations and posture!

I've not used any other body fat % measuring devices bar a home-BIA scale, but based on the comparison images available around the web I thought the initial estimate of 31% was pretty spot on. Reading into scanning pods I learned that absolute accuracy (aka, accuracy from one scan) with an MPort pod is just as susceptible (see next paragraph) to reporting body fat % inaccurately by up to 5% however, their relative accuracy (aka accuracy between scans) is reliable which suits me.

From what I've been reading, inaccurate body fat % estimations up to 5% affect almost every single type of measuring method/device (except for hyperbaric chambers), meaning that calipers (prone to human error), DXA and BIA are all in the same boat as MPort. I will say though that MPort scanning tends to be cheaper and easier than all the others and as a bonus, more accurate than home-BIA scales which usually utilise a formula due to inherent limitations.

The only issue I've had with the pods is a slight lack of cleanliness - often there are used tissues in the "hairtie" holder, which I've also never seen stocked. Plus the app often inaccurately calculates "waist to height" and "waist to hip" ratios but there are so many calculators on the internet, you can easily check yourself.

Side notes: I've never had my height fluctuate like other reviewers and, I only scan once a month.

dodgy lock and get on the scales before I got the message. Then the shopping centre went through a refurbishment and the pod disappeared altogether. I had presumed forever and wasn't surprised given it never worked the times I tried (was I that unlucky with my timing?). There was no signage, nothing to indicate it was only for a temporary period, and so I chalked it up to a lesson learned.

Months later I stumbled on the pod's new location by accident. I emailed mPort saying I was not happy and I did not want to renew my membership. I received a response saying someone would deal with this shortly. I never followed up when no one did as I had recently been issued a new credit card. Clearly I was incorrect thinking I would have to provide my new credit card details to mPort to authorise further payments (new date, new code on the back). Until today, when I checked my credit card statement and found they had charged $39.50 to my credit card..., I had thought mPort and myself had agreed to go our separate way years ago, yet there it was. $39.50. Does that mean they have taken that out of my account every year? Almost $120 and I have had one reading? My preference would have been to deal with mPort direct but their website does not provide a reasonable means of contact.

Shame because it's a great motivational tool, providing it is accurate. I thought my reading was. I was fascinated by the data available and was really looking forward to seeing my progress as I clawed my fitness back, and beyond.

Giving 4 stars for the product itself being value for money, but only on the basis the pod was in good working order at least 97% of the time.

Maybe others have had a better experience.

Amazing changes seen – I've been using mPort since COVID started to find a way to motivate myself and I've never been more motivated. Being able to see the numbers change is awesome (though I have found its best to stick to one pod over time). Highly recommend them

Excellent service for the new year – I've just started using mPort again after a year of lockdown. It's so great to be able to see the physical avatar of myself. I was tracking my weight during COVID but it just isn't the same. They were also able to give me some months free since the pods were closed.

Confusing – Tried to use the Mport at Marion, SA. A little graffiti inside but otherwise clean. Downloaded the app and then ..... nothing. No prompts on the screen - it just starts scanning i guess. I think there's meant to be a QR code to scan but other than the ad at the front for the app there's nothing. Spent 10 minutes trying to make sense of the thing but gave up. Seriously, put a detailed how to up somewhere visible.

Pods never cleaned – I’ve been going to the mPort pod in pacific Werribee weekly for the past 10 months and in that time it’s never looked to be clean. Rubbish is always on the floor, items missing etc. went again this week and the scan wouldn’t work. Went to the point cook scan instead and the door is broken and cannot close..

Mport disgusting – Went to the Mport at Eastgardens last week and the pod was filthy and stunk inside so wasn't game to go inside. Absolutely putrid with what looked like vomit inside.

Paid for Single report but result not unlocked – Paid for single resort in the Miranda mport and was told result will be unlocked but it is still locked. Having to locate support and communicate issue due to undelivered service is a very bad customer experience.

This company is a total rip off. DON"T SIGN UP WITH THEM!! – They do not have any service whatever. I signed up in Jan 2020. However, during the pandemic, their facilities were lock up over 9 months, unable to use. Tried to communicate with them if can get extend the membership, 5 emails sent without a human reply. Even charge new membership fees for 2021.

Very handy , but the measurements are not perfect – I did two measurements within the space of 20min at Carindale in Brisbane. The first I did with clothes on and then afterwards realised, that you should do it with just underwear, as the scan is completely off with clothes on. That was my mistake. cool, and I look forward to seeing my progress over the next year as I bought the yearly pass. As Carindale is near my house, I can pretty much do this every week. I’m 4 months into getting back into shape, and I’ve lost 10kg so far, I’m actually quite gutted I haven’t seen this earlier, and I probably still have 10 kg to lose. I’ve don’t a similar body scan at the gym a couple of times, and both the them have cost 30 bucks a pop, so 50 bucks for the year seems a bargain!

Great tool to track the kilos – I've been using mPort now on and off for a while and recently started using it to track my weight change during COVID. It's come a long way and I see they've put alot of cool new stuff including vidoes etc. Glad to be back onboard.

Interesting service - but the 'walled garden' is too limiting – I've paid for the service for a couple of years but aren't looking to renew at this stage. I'm a runner/swimmer and find the scan information intriguing. But the truth is, it's not essential. I use Strava as my 'fitness hub'. Fitbit, Garmin Connect and RunKeeper all play a part. I have tech to record everything. mPort can't even share my last weight and height to Fitbit? Play nice with everyone or go home.

Machines need calibrating ! – I purchased 12 month access. I don’t worry too much about the weight recording as I use WW scales at home which are accurate. Since my first scan in Oct 2019 I have lost nearly 35 kg BUT my last scan last week said my L) knee had increased by 12 cm ! My scan in Jan said my neck had increased 10 cm ! Definitely not ! Not accurate and no customer service – the measurements were no accurate. to start with my height was not right but you can adjust. My calves are different size by 3cm, the scanner did not pick that up. I emailed some feedback and got no reply, If a customer takes time to give honest feedback the least you can do is reply. The 3d image is very cool so you do get 2 stars for that. I paid for the one off $10 report.

Nice to set goals and track changes – I like the fact that I can set my goals now and see how I'm tracking against it. I'm doing a 8 week challenge now and find this to be very useful. I think the avatar could be better if we could see what my goals would look like.
