Bosch PMD 10

Useless – I'm not sure what the deal is with this thing but I find it worthless. I literally get a better idea of where the stud is by just tapping with my fingers. It has all sorts of lights and symbols and, even after reading the manual, I have little idea what they mean. It flashes red and green and yellow and there's a bar thing and they read different on every pass. It's not like I'm bad with technology either, I'm a computer programmer.

It might be better on metal but I have a wood-framed house so that's not what I bought it for. It's also relatively large, which is a disadvantage in tight spaces. Do not recommend.
