room for improvement – nice looking scale, I use it for my coffee brewing, it will be great if the weight measure can go up to 0.1g accuracy and a stop-watch timer is included Show details

Great Scale but terrible after sales service – I bought this scale as it has a very quick response time when pouring items that I'm weighing - there's still a lag but much less than other kitchen scales I've owned. However after a year I noticed it was unstable on the bench as three of the rubber feet had dropped off. I thought, this will be simple - I'll just contact Breville and get some… Read more

replacements. Clearly they just aren't stuck on well enough.

However Breville's support is just terrible and I would seriously advise anyone thinking of buying their smaller products like this to think twice.

The scale has a nominal 5 year warranty but try hits for a catch-22:

1. They say the feet aren't covered by the warranty - it's just for "electronic or manufacturers faults"

2. Ok then let me just buy some replacements ones then. No they're sorry they have no replacement parts at all for for this scale.

3. What they would do instead is allow me to purchase a whole new scale instead of new feet at a discount price, (which was about the same as the price I originally paid for the scale on-line!).

4. I asked several times that since they were still selling the scale and still trying to sell me a new one surely they should be able to go back to the manufacturer and get a few rubber feet. "No - sorry not possible!!!!"

5. I got round it with other rubber feet without the bargain opportunity offered to me but really...

Accurate & handy machine. But way too pricey – A very good looking electronic kitchen scale. I bought it as a gift to my sister. It works very well & accurate. Using the regular AAA batteries is a good idea. Personally I find the temperature-testing function is unnecessary & not really practical. Of course by having this function, it boosts up the cost as well. I like this machine because I am… Read more

a Breville fan & this is the latest model. This is an excellent scale but way too pricey. The only reason I bought it is because I don't want to buy an older model as a gift. That is all. If its price is not an issue to you, then this scale surely is a great choice and a nice product to have :)

Nice little unit finally dying? – We've had one for many years (can't remember how long, purchased date is a guess) and have been relying on it. It's been very reliable and gives us the familiar beep every time we turn it on. There's a few features on it including ambient temperature which is interesting but we don't really use. Never tried the temperature probe however. Of… Read more

late, it started to play up a bit, and after changing the battery, it's still a bit temperamental. Not sure if we could count on it as much as we used to, which is a shame. Would I buy another? Can't say. The price as of September 2016 is $80+ on special, otherwise hovering around $100. Not sure if this could be repaired.

good but not perfect – a good scale that could be better with a bit of design thought the power button is the same size and where the tare button should be, so i tend to turn it off instead of taring which i intend to do. on board storage for the temperature probe would be good display out to the side is very good and is view able with a larger bowl on.  Show reply

Very accurate and highly used – Love it. Very Compact and stylish. We have owned it for about 18 months. It was an Impulsive buy which has totally paid off! Very compact. Easy to read display. Useful temperature probe. Nothing wrong - rather a suggestion for improvement. Would be useful if temperature probe could read high temperatures (only goes to 150 deg) so could be used for oil, candy etc.
