Hi Janine We have had no ill effects from using this product twice in our home kettle and also in our work kettles. We followed instructions on label plus I refilled and boil kettle twice after each clean . My partner is extremely cautious of such things. We have a cat that is only given cooled boiled water from the home kettle again with no ill effects. And she is extremely protective of our home owner Bob the cat ‍.

Thanks for your reply Ken. I understand, lol. I ask because we are on Septic here so I can only put things down the sink that are septic safe otherwise there will be problems if anything upsets the bacterial balance in our septic. Thanks again for your reply Ken, much appreciated.

I don't think the label conforms to Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Substances Regulations. The label carries no symbol for toxicity, nor does it provide instruction for accidental ingestion.

I think it certainly would be, given it is a cleaning product! If you're concerned the kettle will become contaminated, follow the manufacture recommendations to clean the kettle using the cleaner, then to rinse out the cleaner. We have use this a few times in our kettle with no ill effects.

Possibly, but you are probably better off looking for a dedicated coffee pod cleaning solution.
